Initially, we were very happy with the service at RSSA. The products were nice, the staff was helpful when purchasing a new kitchen sink, faucets, etc. When the order came in one small part, an air gap, was missing. I emailed, called and talked to Ranna. She was going to "check on it" and get right back to me. I've never heard a word back despite many attempts to resolve the issue. I just ordered the air gap for another $60 directly from the manufacturer just to get it done. Sorry to say I won't go back. read more

In September 2012, I went to RSSA and purchased over $1500.00 worth of appliances and other items for a rental remodel. I had an unpleasant previous experience with RSSA years before regarding an outdoor BBQ island but I was willing to try again. I am writing today due to the attitude of RSSA when they make an error. I asked for stainless steel stove and dishwasher. Sylvia who helped us, located one in a catalog and told my contractor to pick it up in Ontario. When he had not heard from RSSA about the pick-up date, the contractor called. Sylvia told him she'd forgotten to order it but she did after his call. He picked it up but when he unwrapped it, it was a dull grey color, not stainless steel. We had a stove hood from RSSA which was stainless so the stove and dishwasher did not look good. I called Silvia to explain that the stove and dishwasher WERE NOT what she said she sold me. Silvia's attitude is not accommodating. While we spoke on the phone, she looked up our transaction and admitted that the product was something called "silver mist" although she, herself originally thought it was stainless. She said if I wanted stainless, I would have to pay a restocking fee, and pay to hire a truck to take the appliance from my remodel to her store/warehouse. I would receive floor models in exchange, not a new appliance. I could not afford additional expense so I kept the silver mist stove and dishwasher. My husband and I prefer to support family owned businesses rather than "big-box" stores. We are beginning a kitchen remodel in our home. We will not buy from RSSA. read more

I bought a Blanco sink from RSSA. It was "bowed", a manufacturing defect (confirmed by Blanco after receiving it). After weeks of trying to return it and after Blanco paid RSSA full refund, RSSA only refunded me less than %50 of what I paid, plus I had to pay for return shipping. My husband and I bought our first home and decided to completely gut the kitchen and master bath. Went to RSSA and they helped us reconstruct the kitchen on the computer so we could visualize what it would look like. We were very specific as to the type of cabinetry we wanted and several special features. Not only were we able to get everything we dreamed of, but at an incredible discount! Home Depot would have been almost double the price! They also recommended contractors for our cabinets and counter tops! All were top notch and very reasonably priced. We always do our research for the best bargains and ended up going through another company for many of our bathroom parts (wrong idea)! That company sold us a sink faucet for the bathtub and screwed up the valves in the shower and shower doors! Thankfully, the helpful, knowledgable staff at RSSA were able to guide us through the ordering process and even told us where certain items might be cheaper. They understood our design concept and showed us a variety of companies that had the style we were looking for. Yes, the store itself was a bit cramped, and it can get busy depending on when you go, but I wasn't going there for presentation. We recently did a minor kitchen remodel, which included upgrading our appliances to stainless, We went to cts in placentia as well as best buy and got quotes on the appliances we were interested in. Because of a miscommunication with cts regarding a date to come out to measure, we decided to go one more place rssahome to find out what they would charge. We were very glad we did. We dealt with Sylvia and ranna both were terrific and knew their stuff. They ended up saving us 400.00 on 3 appliances, a double oven, a stove top and a range hood. Best Kitchen and Appliance store in the OC. We searched all over for a 36 inch Verona combo dual oven and gas range, and they are the only ones that had it in stock and the stainless steel finish we wanted. They have a number of very high end ranges and can tell you differences between them. Sam was our very helpful, humble, sales guy and Jay (manager or owner?) was very, very helpful and cordial. When I told him the prices we had been seeing at places nowhere near here, he beat it and sold us a 5 year warranty extension that covers everything at a price too good to turn down. Cheap insurance based on how much it costs to fix anything with electronics today.. He also GAVE us a cast iron grill as we were going to buy this from Verona as an accessory, but he honestly told us it was overpriced and the one he gave us is better!!! We bought the Verona 36 inch wide range/oven and it was delivered in 2 days. We were also impressed with their selection of designer sinks and faucets and will be back to RSSA for our next project. I was very disappointed in the customer service provided these past few days. One employee's attitude was TERRIBLE. I advise those who go to this store to avoid the short female employee with short boyish hair. She deliberately gave me bad attitude. She had complained about helping me, saying that I "took too long" with my purchase. When I had asked her some questions, she also gave me a very bad attitude and said that she had "other things to do," but as a worker, isn't it her job to help her customers? Honestly, I outright felt shocked by her words and actions, and of course, disrespected as a customer. Ive been a customer for over thirty years. As a real estate broker and landlord Ive saved my clients money and found everything I would ever need, including parts that are out of production. Sure customer service is not the same as the big box stores, you pay for that extra. Yesterday my wife and I went in and purchased a MBR bath remodel "kit" Faucets and medicine cabinets etc.. Full shower system and spent a lot. But we saved easily 65% off what the boutique shops charge and Ray, the owner spent at least two hours to make my wife happy. All the negative comments are to be from people who want Nordstrom service but don't want to pay extra for it. If a product leaves the premises and works, its not the stores role to fix it and its so obvious, warranties have always been call the mfr. I just purchased my 4th appliance at RSSA, the most recent being a dishwasher for my Mom. The person I worked with was helpful and very knowledgeable about the products. It was extremely important for me that I found a product that was simple enough for my mother (who has sight and mobility issues) to use. We found a reliable dishwasher with an easy to work panel. My mother has been using it for over 2 months now and cannot be happier! I could have just easily gone to a superstore, but getting just the right product for my Mom was most important to me. We own an actual money pit where something is always blowing up or falling down since we bought it. Recently we discovered a terrible leak from a 2nd floor bathroom that threatened to cause garage ceiling to come down, so we had to jump into a bathroom remodel much sooner than anticipated. I was starting from scratch and in a hurry to choose everything from tile to vanity to fixtures, wanting nice materials (not Rolls Royce, but not a scooter either) and the contractor recommended RSSA, having worked with them for about 20 years. We had already looked at places like Pacific Sales (talk about rude and unhelpful!) which had a lot of brochures, but not the actual vanities and fixtures that we wanted to see and touch. I called and shopped around, but no one had floor models of the vanities I wanted to see, just brochures from which I was supposed to make a selection. RSSA had a good variety of merchandise to see in person. We worked with Olivia who was very helpful when she found out right away that my first choice vanity wasn't available for months, and showed me a different manufacturer that was also solid wood, less expensive, and available quickly. When they didn't have a part for the shower head we ordered, they arranged to have it rushed overnight directly to our home so that the contractor could keep working. I really needed to borrow a sample of the countertop and the vanity body and was loaned their only samples (which I promised to return the next day), critical in choosing the right tile to match. I was notified every time any merchandise we ordered arrived, and RSSA held all the big stuff - vanity, sink, counter, shower fixtures, sink faucet and medicine cabinet - until it had all come in and my contractor was ready to pick it up and install. Everything was correct, and we had no problems at all. Some items were too expensive compared to others (the tile for our bathroom was available at another large warehouse for significantly less), but there were so many options for things that really mattered like upscale shower and sink fixtures that we didn't see anywhere else that we looked. After I looked there, it was depressing to go to a place like our local home improvement store and look at the plastic stuff they had available. We are SO happy with the project as it wraps up. There are a couple of items that haven't been opened yet, but so far, so good. I will return to RSSA when we start the next bathroom remodel. read more

We made an appointment with kitchen designer Reka J.; after exchanging some preliminary data via email she was well prepared for our meeting. Reka presented three well thought out options; her designs were carefully crafted using her extensive knowledge and experience; we were impressed by her innovative ideas, lessons learned and plenty of advise on what to look out for when choosing and installing cabinets. By the end of the meeting we had a plan. Over the next few days we refined the design; her attention to detail and responsiveness exceeded our expectations. I was sent to RSSA by my kitchen and bath design company to look for kitchen appliances and some bathroom plumbing fixtures. I found a lot if items that I liked so I ordered few, the price was not the cheapest but I found what I needed, I paid and was told that it should take about two weeks for them arrive. So far so good of an experience. Then two week later things started to look not so good. I didn't back from them so I called back but couldn't get though to my sales person and no one else was able to help me but her. I get placed on hold for 10-15 minutes at the time then I gave up. three days later I went to the store to find out if my items had arrived, and what a difference in the level of experience between the first visit and the second one.... my sale person saw me coming and ignored me complete like I didn't exist. She started to talk to every other customer but me like she knows she got my money already and now she doesn't care. I waited for bit then I had to forcefully get her attention, so I told her I just wanted to know if my items had arrived or not and why she never returns my calls! without an apology.... she informed me that I had to wait for her to finish with another customer who was looking around. after an additional ten minutes she came back to me and said items were not there yet and she would call be in few days to give me an update. Five more days go by no hear from her, then the chase starts again I call in, leave massages, no one calls back, I go in to ask. after the rude reception by her I get told that items had arrived, as I was walking by the desk I over heard the warehouse guy telling her that he had told her that my items been there for more than week. I didn't say anything then I pick up my items and drove away. It seems like you will get service at that place only before ordering, but after you place your order they make sure to show that they don't appreciate you business and they will not show you any good service. read more

Due to a change in my bathroom remodel, I needed a specific valve and tub filler fast. I had called a couple of other stores who didn't have the valve in stock and the tub filler would take 4 weeks since it was a "special order." I called RSSA and spoke to Olivia. She took the time to call the local manufacturer finding out I could have the valve in the next two days. When the manufacturer got behind a did not send the valve out, Olivia picked it up for me. She also discovered the manufacturer had the "special order" tub filler in stock. What other stores said would take 7 business days and 4 weeks took Olivia from RSSA less three days to get me both. I can't say enough about her professionalism, desire to help, and ability to work problems to get satisfactory results. She went out of her way to help me and I really appreciated her effort. read more

Earlier this year, we did a kitchen remodel and bought my new gas range from RSSA. I found the range there at a good price which i purchased. The guys there were smooth salespeople and convinced me that they can do all my kitchen cabinet work and match the patterns and color etc of the existing cabinets. They built a ton of kitchen cabinet designs on the computer and had us convinced they knew their stuff and will deliver as expected. Boy.. was I screwed or what.. their kitchen cabinet guy "Joe" who has been working with them for 10+ years was given the job and the sequence of events went as follows. 1. Joe came to my house asking for the dimensions of the cabinets needed. It was odd as we already did the designs on the computer over at RSSA (with this guy "Ali") but we obliged and after taking the measurements, Joe announced "Ali does not know anything, he did not give me any dimensions and that's why i'm here" 2. A few days later Joe came again to take dimensions. We called Ali to confirm if this guy was for real or what.. both times he was clueless of the past discussion.. short term or long term. we should have taken the clue and stopped the work.. but "Ali" is a good salesman. 3. about a month and several phonecalls to RSSA later Joe comes to show me samples of the color and pattern (we gave samples on the day we purchased the appliance.. 2 months ago at this time). The color and pattern were WAAYYY off.. Joe went back. Ali assured it will be done properly 4. Another few weeks later, Joe comes back with more samples.. this time the color matched.. pattern was still unchanged from before and did not match. Another few calls to RSSA and another 2 weeks later, we got samples that matched the color and pattern.. Yay !! 5. Joe comes again to our house for more "dimensions".. saying al the ones before were wrong (?.. he took the dimensions himself ??). 6. Another 2-3 weeks later, the first cabinet gets delivered.. it is 3 inches higher than the existing one.. it goes back with Joe. 7. Another week later it comes back.. still not the right dimension but my contractor fixed it. 8. Another week later, rest of the cabinets arrive, they too are higher by 3 inches.. They go back with Joe this time and come back 1 day later fixed..At this time, my contractor is sitting around my house waiting for Joe to complete his task so he can complete the kitchen. 9. During fitting of the cabinets, we find the doors of a cabinet are mismatched in size.. Yes, it does happen Only at RSSA !. More issues were found with Joes work than can be mentioned in this short narrative.. not to mention the kitchen cabinet hinges were of different shapes and sizes. All attempts to contact RSSA since then have resulted in total silence since the last payment was made. I would ask anyone going to this place to ONLY FOCUS ON PURCHASING PRE-MANUFACTURED ITEMS. DO NOT get sucked into getting cabinets made or any kind of work done by the folks at RSSA. Buy your stuff and get out !! - A really ticked off customer. -Manu read more

STAY AWAY!! I wish I never walked into this place. I ordered multiple items, about $10k worth of goods. My order was super delayed (promised three-weeks....arrived in six weeks), which cost me time and money. After much debate and 1 year later, I learned from the manufacturer, that the order was misplaces by RSSA or their distributor. RSSA offered no compensation, but the manufacturer did (Jacuzzi), even though it was not their fault (excellent service from Jacuzzi). RSSA kept blaming others, but themselves. All other items they recommended to us were either more expensive at their store, or they failed to mention that special installation would be required (which cost us more money than the high end fixtures we bought). They also recommended a plumber who ended up flooding our house...and i had to get a lawyer to get the guy to own up to his mistake. All I did was walk into RSSA, look around for what I wanted based on their advice, and paid a large bill for the items to get delivered (sounds like a super great customer anywhere else). In return, I got a year full of headaches. Trust me. Don't go into this place. If you buy something... you're paying too much because you can typically find it cheaper somewhere else. If you listen to their recommendation or advice, you'll regret it. Nothing they told us came out true. BUT WAIT!! It gets better... When I spoke with the owner about my delayed bathtub.... he HUNG UP on me... TWICE!! Oh wow!! This guy is ridiculous. It's a family business where the dad runs the place and the kids sell the stuff, and wow...if it wasn't for the kids, who actually try to do the right thing, this guy would have never survived the first year in business. You're especially rude to good customers! Shame on you! AND as it turns out the whole mix up was ON YOU....while you blamed others. He told me that the three week that was promised to me wasn't standard delivery time anyway. But Jacuzzi later confirmed that ...YES IT IS.... if they receive the order. The problem was that Jacuzzi didn't even receive the order until THREE weeks after I placed it. So RSSA, what did I do wrong there? What did Jacuzzi do wrong? Hey Mr. owner/dad/loser guy... WHY DO YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO HANG UP ON CUSTOMERS YOU LIE TO? I'm sorry to the associate who tried to help me for this negative review, but as you know, this was a costly, painful process for me where I did absolutely nothing wrong, and instead was treated like dirt by your rude dad, and I lost time and money. ALL contractors ... let me repeat... ALL contractors I spoke with (except the guy who flooded my house) said that they stay away from RSSA because they're known for delayed, incorrect orders, and bad/rude service. Two words came to mind when I walked into this place- claustrophobic and filthy. I couldn't even believe this was an actual functioning store. After walking through the hoarder-like clutter, I had the displeasure of dealing with a cranky, gray haired lady who was obviously having a bad day. The staff came across like a bunch of uniformed children, trying to trick me into thinking they knew what they were talking about (Thanks, I know how much things cost, I can check company catalogs online). I will not be coming back here again, not only bc of the immense litter of random, dated appliances piled around the "store", but mainly bc Home Depot and Pacific Sales, just plain has better prices, selection and product knowledge. I would have liked going with a mom and pop, hence why I went to begin with, but this place just did not cut it. I don't think this place will survive the recession, but sometimes that's a good thing. read more

We ordered some cabinet door knobs to be delivered to our house. They said it would take a week but after 3 weeks passed, I called the store and they confirmed that the knobs just shipped out with a delay. A week then passes and after still not receiving our order I call the store and an associate tells me they are actually sitting there at the store but she will ship them out. Another week passes and still no knobs to find out they are still sitting in the store!! I speak to the manager very upset that 6 weeks have passed and 3 times they tell me they have shipped the knobs I paid for and they can't even handle managing this one order. He apologizes but doesn't even offer to take off the shipping I paid or offer anything to make up for lost time and me having to call back 3 times for my order. Very poor customer service and very disorganized business. I will never order anything through them again when they are clearly in the wrong and don't seem to read more

I called Michelle of RSSA; she had me email a photo and figured out the brand even though there are no markings on the faucet. OK, here it is! This is my follow up review of the Waste King Model 3300 garbage disposal we purchased back in December 2011. First it was packaged for shipment very well. I took the unit out of the box and found that all of the parts were there. Thats a big plus! Next, I laid out all of the tools required to do the installation which was a screwdriver, phillips and straight, a small hammer, and plumbers putty. I then began installing the unit, which took only about an hour of easy, no hassel connection, even though I had to re-plumb a couple of drain pipes under the sink. After finishing the install I ran about a gallon of water in the sink to check for leaks. Everything was dry, no leaks. Thats a good thing. The Waste King disposal works great and it loves to grind up just about anything you can feed it! If you need a good quality built disposal, check out the Waste King line. I thought this place was a find when our contractor recommended them, unfortunately it has been complete heart ache! Their customer service is horrible. We bought a faucet from them that they picked out for us based on what we had picked out in their store. The faucet has been leaking ever since. Their resolution was to contact the company and have them send us a part. Well, you have to pay a plumber to install the part and no one wants to cover that. Needless to say when you buy something new you would hope that you only pay to have it installed once! We had the plumber come out and he can't figure out how to get it apart to install the part. RSSA tried to walk me through it and that did not work either. I asked for at least store credit for our inconvenience and $350 loss of a faucet that doesn't work and they responded "we just sell the stuff." This is a good reason to go to Home Depot or Lowe's ! All said and done we are going to spend $1000 on a kitchen faucet because they won't stand behind a product they sold to us!
