well over 20 years ago, my husband and I walked into a very small and very well stocked appliance store, looking to purchase a refrigerator for our new home. Ray worked with us and provided awesome customer service and gained a customer for as long as they are around. Fast forward to now, many years and home purchases later, RSSA is still around, in a different location but with that same small store feel. We are always welcomed in and free to roam around without the being harassed or bothered. Whether I am just looking around for the coolest new trendy gadgets or there for a specific purchase, the price is always fair and they go out of their way to ensure our questions are answered. Very nice showroom. They have unique items that are not found elsewhere. I have been there three times over the past 4 years...their old location and their beautiful new location. They lack in the area of customer service. In the old location, I received immediate help when I entered the store. In the new location, there are many sales reps sitting at their desks. However, I have never had a person get up and ask "do you need help?" On my last visit, a young man circulated the store and asked if I needed help and I immediately said yes! I started to ask about the Toto bidet andhe interrupted and said "let me get a sales person for you". After waiting about 20 more minutes, I left. And I LOVED the BainUltra tub!! Such a terrible experience here at RSSA. My fiancé decided to surprise me after work yesterday with a dishwasher. Four star rating and it was sold here for $40 less than everywhere else. Score. I wish we would have just paid the extra money. We would have had a dishwasher by now. Yesterday, the owner was quick to make a sale and said we'd be on our way with it "TODAY". There was another man that was very pleasant and talked us through the install. 30 minutes later, close to closing time, the owner comes back and tells us they do not have any more of the one we want. It's at their warehouse and the guy has gone home for the day. Too bad. You'll have to come back tomorrow. "Had you come 30 minutes before this wouldn't have been a problem". At this point he's basically placing the blame on us. Here we are today and supposedly the appliance is here but is "buried" under a bunch of things. The owners helper can't find it and the owner is too busy trying to make a sale. Too bad he says. "Had you come 30 minutes earlier, this wouldn't have been a problem." Today we almost went home without a dishwasher. My fiancé went Into the warehouse and quickly found the appliance. Needless to say, we will be taking future business elsewhere. This guy is all for making a sale and taking your money, but can't follow through when it comes to actually getting your product. When he's in a bind he puts the blame on the customer. Based on (mostly) the service I received here, I'll likely be filing a formal complaint. No matter how small the sale, there is never an excuse for the way we were treated here. read more

Store is crammed with lots of great products, but post sale follow-up is poor. When we placed our order we were told it would be 2 weeks. Well over a month later and we did not receive any status/follow-up from RSSA. In addition since our item was small we asked it be shipped directly to our home. We were not informed this was not possible. Over a month since our order I had to place a follow up call to be told "our items just arrived" and we have to drive there and pick them up. Sales service is good, but be prepared to have to follow-up on your own and add double the time for expected delivery. read more

During my kitchen remodel, I was frustrated with the choices in the Orange County area. Lowe's and Home Depot are fine for most things, but I needed a sink and accessories to fit my counter area which was not available in these stores. I happened upon a newspaper ad for RSSA and took a chance. This is a family owned business in the heart of Anaheim. As a new customer came in, he or she was greeted and an employee called to the front to assist. Sylvia, owner with her husband, was extremely helpful. She spent over an hour with me, discussing options and calling for materials to be brought for my perusal. I ended up with everything I needed, and felt that the cost was reasonable. It was obvious that several of the folks who were there when I was were repeat customers. One gentleman told me if I couldn't find it here it didn't exist. After a long battle with Sears over a new washer/dryer that we purchased, we finally returned the set after getting the runaround and misinformation from several employees. I was referred to RSSA and now I don't think I will go anywhere else for appliances. The family-run business is very professional. I dealt with RSSA several years ago when my sister and I needed a new stove. Our insurance company told us they would give us the money for the equivalent of what we had - I can't remember how much it was but it was a specified amount. I don't know where they came up with the price but we just accepted it as adequate. But when we called over to RSSA the owner Sylvia told us that our kitchen required a stove/oven with a downdraft and there weren't any of those available for the amount of money the insurance company was providing. So, thanks to Sylvia, we got the insurance company to give us the proper amount of money and indeed we got a very beautiful stove/oven for a great price! We were so glad we called on them - it felt like we had knowledgeable people on our side, making sure the insurance company came through for us. And walking through the place I found handles for flushing toilets that were in the cutest shapes! I bought two that were shaped like fishies for my auntie - she loves them! (Her granddaughter loves them too.) Now I drive by their new facility and I'm super impressed by the size of it and all the beautiful tubs on display in the 2nd floor windows. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this bussiness! I'm sorry I didn't take the time to check RSSA's Yelp review before I decided to order nearly $10,000 with them. I wish these guys could run their business better, because they seem like nice people, but they are terrible communicators and possibly straight liars. After ordering all of our items and being told it would take a week, we left the store excited to be getting everything in one place. Unfortunately, that never happened! After waiting 9 weeks we cancelled the remaining items and got our money back (not easy). They lied to us for weeks saying the items would be there "in a few days" and finally said "it'll be another 2-3 weeks at least". Not to mention, most of the items we did receive came in boxes that look like they are seconds/damaged or had sat in water at some point. Plus, one item was broken and unusable. The process of getting a refund is not easy, they tell you to come down and then give you the run around about how "no one is there to cut you a check". After driving down twice and not getting my refund, they said, "we will pay you for your wasted gas" (but, not my 2 hours of driving), of course that never happened either. A classic Over Promise, Under Deliver company. These guys are great at selling you everything you need, but they can't deliver. Oh ya, and they made us pay in full while $5,000+ of our order hadn't been received yet. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place! We took our $5,000 to CTS in Placentia and within 2 days we had what RSSA said would be 2-3 more weeks. Oh ya, and when we called Sub Zero to check it out for ourselves, we were told that RSSA wasn't a licensed dealer and that it's illegal for them to even sell it to us and that the warranty would have been void if we bought it through RSSA. Everything came in on time and they provide the best service as well as fixtures that are one of a kind. You cant get this kind of stuff anywhere else. I usually don't write negative reviews. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. But this company is on another level. I spent $15K on kitchen cabinets here and had the most horrific experience. Initially, all was well - I worked with Dave and he was very helpful. But after placing the order, due to an unfortunate turn of events - a family member being diagnosed with end-stage cancer - I had to hold off on installation for a year. Once my contractor began installation, it was discovered that several needed pieces were not ordered at all, and a cabinet was provided that was the wrong height. When I went back to RSSA, Dave no longer worked there, and they denied all responsibility. First, they tried to insist that I must have given them the wrong measurements, but unfortunately for them, I kept the original paper which I had submitted showing the correct measurements were provided. Second, they said since the employee who helped me was no longer there, and it had been so long, they couldn't be held responsible. I appreciate that it had been an extended period of time since the order, but a mistake is a mistake is a mistake, and it shouldn't matter for me if their employees changed. I paid the company, not the employee. They eventually offered to "contribute" 50% of the retail price to order the correct items, which amounted to another several thousand dollars for me. A 50% contribution sounds generous, except having some inside knowledge on the industry, I know that they wouldn't actually be "contributing" anything at all if I'm paying 50% of the retail price (profit margins are huge in this industry). I requested that they make an actual contribution - 50% of the wholesale price. My email was forwarded to a "higher-up," Syna. Hearing nothing back, I checked in every few days with my point of contact, Heidi, the current cabinet designer, who just told me she didn't know why Syna hadn't responded. Almost 2 weeks later, after some firmer pushing from my part, I finally get a response from Syna - with a blatant lie that she had been on vacation (Heidi and Syna work in the same store - wouldn't she have known?). She also rejected my request and offered a measly $200 in addition (she said they already contributed, because the time used in helping me deal with this issue is costing them employee time). Tired of it all, I accepted. Now, came the even more ridiculous issue of delivery. I was initially told by the owner Ali that delivery for add-on items wouldn't require the usual 4 week delivery time. He assured me that they could send it out in about a week. After placing the order, I was then told the delivery date would be 3-4 weeks. Again, I accepted in resignation. 5 weeks later, I was still missing half the order from one of their manufacturers, Woodland. After more chasing and dodging, I was told by Heidi - quite curtly, as if this is all normal - that they will now send it out in another month. This would make it a total of 3 months to get this incorrect order resolved. When I told her this was unacceptable and this must be resolved or I would escalate the issue, she told me to stop threatening her. I was flabbergasted. What has been more frustrating than all the costs and delays has been their attitude - utter curtness, indifference, and rejection of any and all responsibility. My concerns are repeatedly met with an air of "it's not my problem." Through all these delays and mistakes, not once have they apologized for anything. Not even a shadow of an apology. So this has been my experience. Maybe you will have a better experience if there's no issue with your order. But if you need anything after you have already paid, good luck. read more

I purchased an entire ROHL bathroom set. Faucets don't fit correctly. The handles are loose and wobbly. They all fit just a bit differently. This was a very expensive set of valves, handles, and shower heads. I have made well over five attempts to get this resolved over the last week. They keep telling me that the company ROHL is not being responsive. They SOLD me on using ROHL as they were local and an amazing company to work. I could have gotten the same service by just ordering online. They are blaming the installer but all the handles fit differently in each location. read more

We had our entire house completely renovated and we worked with multiple people from RSSA (Ranna was our main contact person but we also interacted with Ali, Olivia, Adrianna, John, and Syna) to inquire about, try, and order numerous items for different parts of our house. We are incredibly thankful that we found RSSA online because they helped us narrow down so many decisions that would have taken us longer to decide on had it not been for their expert input. They researched items for us, contacted manufacturers to ask additional questions, and processed orders via phone to help make things easier. We ordered a difficult-to-find freestanding tub, cabinet hardware, bathroom sinks, kitchen hood, microwave, and door knobs. They knew about the additional parts (i.e. bath drain and bath trims) we needed to order for installation, which we had no knowledge of. okay after a few months giving RSSA a decent try I have to change my five star rating to one. All of the negative posts came true. The only highlight was the purchase of an American cooktop for $3k. We dealt with the owners daughter in the begging and she spent some time with us and we purchased a couple of thousand dollars of stuff. She seemed to give good advice but manly sold us what she had on hand. When we came back to return some items because they were not what was in the box, she wanted to charge us a restocking fee!! No way, we said as it was your fault. We demanded to speak to dad, which overturned her call. Now, she is saying , we cannot return anything if it has been opened. Going to HD as you can return anything. She openly said, somewhat rudely, you have to deal with my dad from now on, I spent a lot of time with you , and it wasnt worth it. I have been into the store after that, I say hi to her in a friendly manner, and if looks could kill, I would be dead. I ordered a $2000+ Lg refrig. and was told it would be delivered in a week. After one week, called back, they said a few days, Kept calling back for one month, then told LG had discontinued the line. So my creditcard was charged for one month, and no product. I had to dispute the charge with the card company as Ray did not credit my acct. I usually donot care to spend this much time on a negative review, but because I have such a bad experience, I want to share it for what its worth. `just BEWARE. read more

This review is long overdue, but one of my clients walked in recently and shared her disappointment with this place and that just reminded me to write this. BUYER BEWARE!!! You pretty much should know or have to know what you are looking for or you will spend countless, precious hours sifting through catalogues. Although they can get you just about any item for your home and will even negotiate prices, don't expect a great showroom of displays. Do your research before coming here. And if you do make a purchase, make sure you open the box immediately because they have tendencies to give you something else than what you thought you bought. And do not ever have them hold any product that comes in for you, it will either end up sold to another customer or it will get lost somehow in their disorganized showroom. Customer service flip flops. One day you can receive friendly service and attention while another day you can roam their store without any greeting (I understand they can be busy, but a simple 'hi' lets customers know they are aware of possible service). I made over $14,000 in purchases within a one month period several years ago and went in one more time to make another purchase only to be rudely brushed aside when another "client who spends a lot of money" (verbatim from the owner) walked in. I do not blame business owners to fawn over profit worthy customers, but please do not belittle or make other customers aware of your intentions. Very unprofessional. We were referrred to RSSA by our interior decorator, who does quite a bit of business with them. With a strong referral from an industry professional, we had high hopes for a positive experience. On the positive side, we had a great experience selecting the bathroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, and tubs for 4 bathrooms. Ranna was knowledgeable, helpful, and full of good ideas. After some quick online research, we concluded that the prices we paid were very fair and, on the whole, a little better than we would have found elsewhere. Unfortunately, our positive experience ended the moment we left our deposit. In no particular order: * Our contractor had to request specs for sinks MULTIPLE times, delaying construction of cabinetry and fabrication of granite. It took nearly 2 weeks of voice messages and conversations to get what he needed. * they shipped the wrong bathtub, then argued that the tub was what was on the order sheet. "Fortunately" for us, the tub arrived damaged and we were able to get the correct model a few days later with minimal delay on the project. * I received numerous harassing phone calls from the delivery service telling me the product couldn't be delivered without a check. This was odd since we'd already paid for the order, including shipping, in full. * We've had to arrange multiple deliveries and also had to return to the store several times to pick up merchandise that was omitted from the delivery. We finally had to do a full and complete inventory to make sure we had all the items we'd ordered and will have to make yet another visit today. * The specs sent for our powder room (sink/toilet) were wrong. Because we got the wrong specs, we will probably have to order new granite (or at least have it refabricated) for the countertops. This will likely cause a significnt delay and cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to correct. * We experienced very poor response in trying to resolve these issues. We had a difficult time tracking down people who were familiar with our order, phone messages were returned several days later (if at all). They even had difficulty finding the paperwork to figure out what was going on. Sadly, our overall experience with RSSA has been very poor. Most of these issues could have been avoided if the owners would simply install a computer-based system to track inventory and orders. The shipping issues, incorrect merchandise, and filing issues are easily corrected with inexpensive, readily available technology. read more

My husband and I spent thousands of dollars at RSSA during our remodel. There were times I loved this company and times I absolutely hated it. While their employees are very knowledgable and I like supporting a family owned business,they are always so busy that I never felt our business was appreciated. I would have to call back often because they are not good at returning phone calls or email. I am also extremely disappointed that 2 weeks after our brand new Danby wine fridge was installed and quit working they would not replace it. Unacceptable. I still have this wine fridge not working because they had me go through Danby customer service and they cannot take the unit out to fix. Also, when I was having issues obtaining our rebates, Ray (the owner) was such a jerk. He acted like I was putting him out by asking for his assistance. He raised his voice at me several times, which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. You'd think that after spending $6000 there that I'd be treated with A LOT more respect than that. Bottom line is.....their customer service SUCKS and I greatly regret doing business with them. If I could give a zero, I would. I was referred to this place by our contractor. There were so many negative experiences, these are just a few: * We ordered KitchenCraft cabinets with Ambrosia in August of 2014. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us. She told us we would get a two week notice call prior to the cabinets arriving so we could prepare with our contractor. * The delivery company called stating they were ready for delivery - no two week notice. We were not prepared to accept the many boxes and move our things out of our kitchen as quickly as we had to and our contractor had to shuffle things around to get ready to start - but he had to wait another two weeks because we didn't have the notice. I spoke with Ali at RSSA, concerned about not having time to check the cabinets, and he was very rude about this, but said that two weeks was fine. * We had several issues with damaged cabinets. We attempted to reorder the damaged cabinets. My contractor stated that he reordered them through RSSA. After weeks of their not arriving, I contacted the RSSA and the girl who answered said she didn't show an order and transferred me to the owner, Ray (Ali's father). He said he had no knowledge because it wasn't his account and that I need to contact Ambrosia, who was on medical leave. He said he did not know how to use the computers to access the files. Ambrosia gave me the details of the reorder and stated that they should arrive in a couple of weeks. I was baffled because they should have arrived by that point. I demanded to see the paperwork from the reorder because I wanted to see when they were actually reordered because it should have only taken 2-3 weeks. I made five requests. Finally Ambrosia emailed it to me, but removed the date of the reorder. I had even spoken with the KitchenCraft representative who covered for RSSA and confirmed the false date was given. Ultimately I found out that they all lied when I called a corporate office, left a message and a sales representative called me back and looked up the account and gave the date of the reorder. They never submitted the reorder when they said the did, which ultimately, severely delayed our remodel. * When the reorders arrived, some of them were damaged and we had to reorder again. Now, the damage is not RSSA's issue, but the reorder of them and how they handled it was. We decided to pick up these new reorders from RSSA directly instead of having them delivered to save some time so we can speed up the process. While we were at RSSA, Ray was working on the computers. He had never seen us. He lied about his ability to operate the computers. Perhaps he did not have access to her accounts, but he is the owner, I am confident he could have helped to fix our original problem. After speaking with Ambrosia at length, she admitted that Ali never submitted our reorder and this is what led to the severe delay in our reorder. * This is in addition to numerous emails and phone calls that went unanswered concerning all of this, leaving our kitchen in disarray. The mistake in the reorders cost us an additional eight weeks. It actually cost us more because our contractor took other jobs while we were waiting, so we had to wait for him to come back, or spread his workers more thinly. * Because we literally had no kitchen (everything had been ripped out), and we had been waiting for cabinets that were never reordered, and Ali and Ray had been giving me the runaround, by the time I finally got Ambrosia to admit all of this, I was appalled that no one offered any form of a discount or compensation for the inconvenience or the unprofessionalism. She told me that they do not do this until the job is completely done, just in case more problems arise. I expressed that we had been eating out because we literally had no kitchen and it had become extremely costly for us. We were only supposed to be out of our kitchen for two months, but now we had been out of our kitchen for two months simply because of their mistake, but worse, their coverup. I also asked if they even offered compensation in these scenarios and she said yes. * When the job was over (in February 2015!), I reminded Ambrosia about this. The delays ultimately pushed us through the holidays. She reminded me that they gave us free railings and side panels. The side panels were to cover other damage and these were given by KitchenCraft, not RSSA. The railings were to compensate for other mistakes, but they don't make up for our costs for the food that we paid for because of the serious delays - we lost all holidays in our home, literally, because of the serious delays on all reorders. Ray contacted me personally and said that he would not be giving any form of financial compensation because that is not what they do, and basically accused me of just trying to get money from him...after all we went through? Initially, we were very happy with the service at RSSA. The products were nice, the staff was helpful when purchasing a new kitchen sink, faucets, etc. When the order came in one small part, an air gap, was missing. I emailed, called and talked to Ranna. She was going to "check on it" and get right back to me. I've never heard a word back despite many attempts to resolve the issue. I just ordered the air gap for another $60 directly from the manufacturer just to get it done. Sorry to say I won't go back. read more
