We were seated right away, and the service was great--the waitresses were friendly and attentive. The décor featured authentic Mexican touches, which really added to the experience. The food did not disappoint. I ordered a variety of tacos: steak (carne asada), chicken (pollo), and al pastor. I enjoyed all of them. The al pastor was a bit spicy, so if you like heat, that's the taco for you! My favorite, though, was the steak taco--so soft and delicious. Honestly, it was the best steak taco I've had in Indiana and Chicago. If you're looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try, this one is a must!

My destination was 5 minutes away so that is when I started eating. Discovering the tasteless, small steak burrito was disappointing. It was the amount of grease dripping out of it that made the burrito really bad. The chicken torta had the same issues. So, I'm done. Too many other decent options in the area now to put up with the bad.

The food runner insisted the red sauce was tomatillo sauce, which was clearly incorrect. What stood out most was the lack of service continuity. We were seated by the window and noticed our server, Jacqueline, left around 6 PM simply because her shift ended. There was no introduction to another server or any handoff whatsoever. After waiting quite a while with no one checking on us, we eventually had to go to the host stand ourselves just to close out the bill. Our tab was around $200. Rather than dine and dash, we paid in full for the food and drinks, but chose not to leave gratuity based on the experience. The food itself was nicely presented and overall tasted good, but high prices comparable to Chicago do not automatically make a restaurant upscale. If you're looking to overspend on Mexican cuisine while receiving poor customer service, this may be the place for you.

WOW!! What an unforgettable adventure! For breakfast, my wife and I come here. I got the scrambled egg, corn tortillas, cheese, red salsa, and grilled beef chilaquiles, which were delicious! You have the option of green or red salsa. The ingredients combine well and produce a delicious flavor. On the other hand, my wife also ordered the huevos rancheros with beef. She appears to enjoy her meal as well. The steak's tenderness and smokey taste were both fantastic!! The plate was enormous! I have never seen such a large piece of wonderful cuisine in all my years of dining. Just wow!!! We also ordered (forget the name) tortilla soup with chicken and sour cream, as well as taco salad ("salad" which we often had, especially when I was with my wife), and they were both cooked to perfection!! Our server was fantastic! We were well cared for, and we appreciated her prompt attention!! Another coworker/server was courteous enough to grab a couple of plates from our table. Their teamwork and cooperation for the benefit of the customers made us feel very special and valued!! We told them how impressed we were, and they said that's how these servers work...helping each other out when they perceive a need!! I've never seen servers protect their other servers like these! KUDOS to management for instilling such a positive energy that allows customers to have a positive experience. BRAVO to the hardworking employees. First off, negative 1 stars. OVERPRICED, UNDERSEASONED. Ruben's been around the world? He must have no taste buds!! He was probably thrown out of Mexico for lack cooking skills!! I've tasted spicier, authentic mexican food at Taco Bell!! Didn't even think about trying the margaritas, because I'm not a FRUIT!! Does Ruben know what a sope is? If i was going to the electric chair, and my choices were Rubens, or to starve, I would starve. The food was disgusting, in every respect. I bet Ruben was selected by Swanson TV dinners as the Chef of the Year. When I got the Fajitas, the smoke irritated my eyes AND my stomach. I never thought you could go wrong with tacos either, they had a wow factor... wow why did I come here?!?! I would recommend the homeless to walk over to Beggars instead. Let's just say, Colonel Sanders has more authentic mexican food than Ruben. Colonel Sanders knows atleast 11 herbs and spices...
