Knowledgeable staff but very poor customer service and you can buy everything they sell here online for less $$. My contractor sent me here to buy all of our bathroom fixtures and I found the staff incredibly knowledgeable about their products and super helpful during our appointment. Unfortunately, after our appointment, the person we worked with told me he'd follow up with me over email but it took 3 weeks, multiple emails and phone calls back to the store to get a response. Once he finally sent me the list of items we'd agreed on in the store, he ghosted me again for several days and didn't respond until after a few more emails and calls to the store. We are living in a house under construction with two young kids and cannot afford this much time wasted. I ended up just buying everything on our list on Amazon. It's coming in two days and it was $300 cheaper, too. read more

I just installed an White American Standard white tub only to notice that it has a yellow creamy tone. Not good as the toilet and all else is bright white. Apparently the sales person knew it has this tone and without telling me this nugget of information, sold it with a bright white, Mismatching toilet. My contractors installed the tub along with bright white subway tile. Now I have a yellow tinged tub with bright white tiles, toilet and vanity top. I'm very disappointed at the lack of forewarning of a possible discrepancy. I would have bought a bright white tub from Home Depot. I'm not going to go through the trouble of replacing the tub now. read more

We bought all new Hansgrohe bathroom hardware, Toto toilets, and a gorgeous bathtub -and we were impressed with the RS team every step of the way: from calling to set-up appointments for showroom visit with their experts, the efficiency and incredible knowledge shared within those visits (recommendations for products / configurations), very detailed / clear proposals with highly-competitive pricing, how quickly everything was available (even in the midst of the global pandemic-related shipping chaos), and the fantastically helpful customer service follow-up when we ran into some issues (our contractor's designer told us to buy a particular drain that couldn't be installed in our bathroom, and RS returned it w/no issues, and then when one of our thermostatic valves wasn't working, RS immediately provided replacement parts and sage advice by phone/email, ultimately helping us figure out that all of the hardware was perfectly fine, and that the problem was that my contractor's plumber goofed-up our hot/cold pipework). I Enjoy visiting this plumbing supply store as they have such a variety of sinks, faucets, tubs etc, on display. One staff I always work with is Bryan Smith. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing supplies, and is happy to research an item if it's something they don't carry. He is very pleasant, patient and helpful, and seems to really enjoy helping customers find the perfect supplies for that new remodel or repair. The people who work here are really nice. I had an issue with AOSmith trying to deny my claim for warranty (it is for 6 years, I've only had it for 2 years), since it was purchased by my home warranty company who then tried to file a replacement claim (loooong story). Edwin helped me track down the original invoice showing that my unit was paid for as a new unit by my home warranty insurance and now my hot water heater is fixed. He went above and beyond what he had to do! Note: I do not recommend AOSmith though. They are horrible and make a horrible product. read more

I have purchased items at Rubenstein before and the prices were always fair. In addition, I liked the idea of giving my money to local businesses. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The employee behind the counter saw what I had in my hand and immediately knew the brand and part I needed. Recently I purchased a Delta shower cartridge from them for $54, and later checked to find it available at Home Depot for $40, and Amazon for $40 shipping included. I wish I could get a refund, but with the gas and 20% restocking fee, it would not be worth it. Well played Mr. Rubenstein... well played. I would still go to Rubensteins. But my advice to others is to check prices elsewhere before buying at Rubenstein. read more

Way overpriced, my plumber purchased a faucet from these guys, and they charged $286.55 + $30 shipping for a total of $345.84 with tax I then proceeded to price the same faucet at Home Depot and it came to $194 shipping included. That's over a $150 dollar price difference folks. I would recommend going to Home Depot, or pretty much any of the other sites on-line which offered the faucet at a price similar to Home Depot. I am finishing a whole home remodel that involves new plumbing for 3 1/2 baths and a kitchen + island. I'm fortunate to have found Rubinsteins. Sheila is the best- I felt her knowledge, honesty and and humor helped minimizing the stress of buying so many items I had little to no knowledge about. She also had my best interest in mind, even when it meant not making a more expensive purchase sometimes. I'm pretty internet savvy for finding deals, but they were consistently competitive, while offering free quick delivery and service, which you can't get from the internet. I have remodeled two houses and used them to buy plumbing fixtures, shower heads, faucets, toto toilets, etc. Their service is the worst. They promise you something but almost never deliver. They always have excuses. Last time I was there for hour and half sorting out an order and then I was promised to get a call and provide a credit card number. I didn't receive a call from them. Here I was, ready to pay them and they don't even bother to call. I had to call 5 times to get someone to take my credit card number for the order I had placed. You will be wasting your time if you shop there...a lot. read more

This place is awesome. My contractor recommended them to pickup a new water heater. We went with a tankless option and the rep was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process. There were a couple parts that were missing from the build and the rep even delivered them on his lunch hour to help us out. What a find! I worked with Sheila and the prices are amazing. I always thought buying on the internet was cheaper, but Rubenstein not only beat prices at Build.com, but was able do custom orders (like right side lever on toilets) and have it delivered within 5 business days. Even their Robern medicine cabinet prices are cheaper than the internet. They bulk purchase Oceania acrylic tubs so there's at least $800 in savings on the tub alone. Decent prices, great customer service once you get a person to work with you (they can get busy and seem to wait to be approached rather then bother the shoppers) I worked with Brian and he has been extremely helpful. I have had a few issues with my countertops being drilled without my knowledge and needing to change the styles of faucet lay out from mini widespread to widespread and he was able to get me a replacement quickly, as well as help me find replacement handles for a base cabinet that didn't clash with the esthetic and fit the existing holes that where again installed without my consent. We also discovered a missing item in my Roman tub kit that was ordered and Brian got a message to the vendor rep almost immediately and has gotten it shipped express directly to my house. Their excellent customer service and knowledge of access to their supply chain to help me chose the most appropriate product has helped me immensely during my problematic remodel. read more

Remodeling a home can be stressful and overwhelming, but the right people can make a huge difference. We went to many plumbing supply stores before we found Rubenstein. All the staff at Rubenstein were great! We mainly worked with Bryan Smith in the showroom and Bryan Arista in the warehouse throughout our remodel process. They made remodeling our 2.5 bathrooms such a pleasant process. --------- Bryan Arista is very professional and responsible. He was on time for deliveries, and he was thorough in checking each item to make sure we received everything. (We got almost a full truckload of items!) Whenever we came to the showroom, he made sure we were getting helped. When Bryan Smith was unavailable, he helped me look at vanities for our guest bathroom. Another time when our contractor needed a plumbing part for our bathroom, he was able to quickly figure out which item the contractor needed and find it for us. Our contractor also accidentally threw away the small metal hooks we needed to lift the shower grates, and Bryan accommodated us by getting these items for us. Thank you, Bryan Arista! We appreciate your kind and thoughtful help! --------- Bryan Smith was a life saver! We were overwhelmed with choices after visiting many different plumbing stores. I'm not a plumber and know very little about plumbing but I was building a project that had a plumbing component. I walked in, not knowing what parts I needed or even what to ask for. I worked with Jeff Sohn who was patient and helpful. He asked me questions until he determined the parts I would need and then picked them out. Prices were good. Horrible Misleading Place Let me start the story by saying I bought a kitchen faucet online from China. When it arrived the inlets were 1/4" MIP. I have no idea what these numbers mean but I learned about them during my search. My plumber told me I need adapters for 1/4" to 3/8" which apparently is the standard in US. I went to Home Depot and they didn't have the right adapter but the person there gave me this Rubenstein business card and told me it's a plumbing store and they may have it. So I took the time to go to this place and asked for such adapter. The person serving me couldn't find one so he asked the expert technician. This guy came over with an attitude and he went like "I don't have time for this frankly don't care what the deal is you can't find such adapter in US. I would return the faucet and get my money back. Tell them your plumber couldn't connect it call your bank and get your money back." I asked the 1st guy if he could recommend other stores. He gave me an address and also suggested visiting an Ace store. On my way to that 2nd plumbing supply store I got into an Ace and went to the plumbing fixings isle. And did I find at least 500 types of fixtures for all kinds of pipes and faucets! I asked someone for help. He couldn't help me and called his manager whom according to him was an expert. This young fellow showed up and by looking at my faucet he went to the shelves pulled out a container and gave me an adapter for 1/4" to 3/8". I tried it on my faucet that I was carrying and it fit. Then he took me to the extension hose section and gave me a hose to fit the 3/8" side. It took him probably 3 minutes with my explanations and his walking around the isles to set me up. I'm giving 1 star to this place only for the 1st guy who helped me and recommended Ace. But the attitude of the other expert was bad rude and quite impolite. I had decided that if they didn't have such an adapter I would get a faucet from them. To be honest the 1st guy could have convinced me to do so. I was so lucky to face that rude employee. Because right there I told myself I'm not buying anything from these people. If you are having fixtures problems just go to Ace. I hadn't been there for many years and quite frankly had forgotten them since Home Depot is close to my house. But I have to admit those guys were much more professional with friendly attitude than this hosh posh so called store. This is not a store and you don't want to waste time going there only to get attitude by a nobody who doesn't even have any expertise in his own line of work. read more

I went here looking for shower fixtures and sink faucets for my bathroom remodel. They have a pretty big selection of everything, and they have most of their stuff in stock. They even have a section where you can actually try the shower heads with flowing water. Bryan was super helpful. He helped me make my choices, and explained a lot of things to me. Pricewise, I compared with a couple other stores. I think I got the best price here for the shower fixtures. read more

We purchased our bathroom vanity a year ago and our fixtures, they definitely have a ton to look at and offer. We just went back to look at kitchen sinks and faucets. They don't have too much selection to view but so far every place we have been to have about the same. These guys are best. Friendly, well informed and oh so helpful. We are doing a big remodel of our home which requires many of the products that Rubenstein's carries. I worked most of the time with Eddie Ramirez who was extremely helpful, but when you go into the showroom everyone there is helpful and friendly. They carry a great line of quality products, lots of selections, and they can help with pointing you in the right direction so you end up with the best product you need for your project. And their pricing seems to be competitive with the pricing you might find on the internet where you do not receive all the friendly, helpful advice. I highly recommend this place. read more

Our experience was mixed. We needed $5,000 in kitchen and bathroom fixtures. *Prices aren't displayed, so the saleswoman offered to email a quote. It took several calls, promised and missed deadlines, and 11 days to get pricing for the showroom fixtures she recommended. *Some items were competitively priced, while others were up to 32% higher than elsewhere *Ordered items took 23-31 days to arrive, rather than the 1-2 weeks we were told *It took 8 days (after the first 11) and multiple calls before they admitted they couldn't get some items by our deadline, so we had to scramble to find them *We waited a month for a $900 medicine cabinet that arrived with 2 broken doors, and the side panels were for a different size unit. While sorely lacking in execution, everyone we dealt with had a great attitude: *The staff was warm, helpful, knowledgeable and made the selection process (the part that SHOULD have been hardest) relatively quick and painless *When the supplier wanted to replace the broken doors, Rubenstein's insisted they send a new cabinet *They were extremely apologetic *When we swore we never got one fixture, they politely gave us a replacement. Then we discovered we had it after all. An extra star for their customer-is-always-right attitude, even though the customer was clearly wrong. read more

I usually buy such material online, but these guys have a truly excellent shop and earned my business. Their showroom has a huge selection of all the top brands, they offer competitive pricing and top-notch customer service. I was fortunate to work with Heath and Bryan, both are pros who understand function and design. When I ran into technical issues with the toilets I purchased (a new model that just came out) Heath made sure those are properly addressed. He reached out to the manufacturer to provide me with customer support, and even went twice to my home to see those issues in person and see how he could help. Highly recommended! read more
