This Rubio's location is ok. The food preparation is very inconsistent. Some days it tastes decent and other days it's barely tolerable. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 3 is because the staff are very kind and helpful, the food is fresh, and the restaurant and salsa bar are always clean. The churros are consistently good and are a must to try! I usually like the street tacos, but again, it's a hit or miss on how they prepare it. They have nice tables, chairs, & umbrellas set up outside, which is great so you can bring your dog with you! read more

Don't eat here on Fridays. The "original fish tacos " were mostly blobs of partially cooked batter. They DO NOT HONOR THE COUPONS From THE APP. Went there tonight with the kids.  The time on my receipt was 7:36 and we did not get our food until 8:12.  When it arrived my burrito was cold and only had a few pieces of chicken.  My daughters rice was burned to the point that it was black.  The salsa bar was filthy and covered in spilled (dried) salsa and the mens restroom was just gross, not to mention that the tables had not been wiped down.  While  the conditions and the long wait times were unacceptable it was the attitude of the employees that turned me off on Rubios.  It was obvious that they were having a off night (I have had many enjoyable meals at Rubios) but the staff and management made no apologizes or any effort to acknowledge the poor service that I and may other customers received this evening.  Rubios need to invest in training their staff and managers on customer service. read more

I don't know what happened in the last couple of months, but the more we go, the worse the service is. It now consistently take 30 minutes for our food to come out, and unfortunately the service effects the food. Our food is never all done at the same time, so when someone's is fresh and hot, everyone else's is lukewarm. If I am going out for lunch at work this is my favorite place to go! It is right down the street from my work and my food is always ready when I get there. I always call in about ten minutes before I get out for lunch. Every time I go, a girl named Stacey is usually working. She is super nice and she listens to the guests and I hear her answer their questions very professionally. I usually get the two taco plate with Salsa Verde shrimp tacos and they are amazing! I've been to this Rubio's many times with the bf and the food here stays consistent. Whenever I get a craving for fish tacos, this place never disappoints. I like to get the two fish tacos especial plate with pinto beans and chips. It just hits the spot :) I also like that the place is clean with friendly employees and everyone just seems to know each other here. The fish burrito is great and the fish tacos for $1.25 on tuesdays are a steal. The only bad thing i have to say about Rubios is there Salsa selection is weak. The hot and medium taste awful. The mild does taste pretty good, but its mild and has no heat. Im not sure why they struggle to make a good tasting hot salsa. read more

I haven't been to a Rubio's in years, it's as delicious as I remember. So much better than Yahoo's. I stick to the fish tacos, my favorite. I also love their chipotle salsa. I came in ordering a veggie salad and I didn't want peppers or onions manager said I had to get it the way it is. Removing the veggies was not an option. Then he made me repeat myself 3 times as if he was confused. Then I still had to get it as it is. I took a seat to wait for my food table was dirty so I moved to the next one and it was dirty as well. The food took way too long and it wasn't even busy. Honestly the food at Rubio's has never disappointed. When I make fish tacos at home I try to make them just like I would get them at Rubio's, they're that good. The fish always has a nice crunch to it, the salsas are always fresh and great tasting, and the rice and beans are top notch too. Oh, and my kids love the chicken taquitos! read more

Ok, haven't been here in a while but I now I will be back more often! Great service, these people seem genuine, helpful and friendly to not just me but every customer. Now they serve salads in real bowls- not disposable plastic- and eating in you get real dinnerware too. My salad was so yummy and eating in a real bowl took it up another notch. I had never been here before, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. I ended up getting some fish tacos with a mango salsa on top. They were super delicious, and the fish was pretty fresh tasting. They have a little salsa bar for those of us who are a little more heavy handed with their salsa. The only downside, and reason for 3 stars, is that they took a while to serve us, and when it was ready, they brought out all of the food but one person's. We held off on eating until the last person in our party had their food, but that wasn't until after I reminded the girl who brought us our food, and then went to the front counter to remind them again. Not cool, Rubios. Not cool! Ordered a to go order of an original fish tacos combo. When I got home and opened it, it only contained one taco, instead of two that its supposed to, zero limes, AND the one taco it came with looked like it had a bite out of it. Im hoping it was not a bite, but it was the size and shape of a bite out of the tortilla. Seriously?!?! By the time I noticed, I was 20 minutes away, at home. Street tacos are not supposed to be huge, but these were beyond tiny...two bites! Dry steak without much flavor, and they came with guacamole smeared on them??? Stopped here before seeing a movie at Krikorian on a Friday. Not too crowded, ordered quickly and received the food quickly. One of the gentleman at the register was particularly friendly and cheerful. I ordered the chicken taco and it was very good-- I'm not a big fan of guacamole, but together with the chicken and salsa it was nice. I hate when tacos use dark meat and chewy chicken. This Rubios has multiple issues. The food order is never correct. They are missing something or you don't get items you ordered. But my biggest issue is the quality of food! All other Rubios taste amazing! But this one has dry salmon, stale chips, missing ingredients in the tacos and burritos etc. This has to be a management or ownership problem because it's been going on for so long! read more
