I had driven by multiple times without noticing it, until a colleague mentioned it had made Yelp's Top 100 list for 2022. My first visit was late in the day, and the selection was down to maybe a half-dozen flavors, but the proprietor still gave my kids and I samples to try, even making whipped-cream sandwiches of chocolate and blueberry donuts and asking which we liked better. We wound up with chocolate, chocolate-iced chocolate, chocolate with coconut, chocolate-iced glazed, blueberry, an apple cider donut, a raspberry fritter, and maybe a bit more. We have been huge fans of Ruby for the past few years. It is our go to place. The last few trips have not been up to par though. Many of the donuts have been smaller than they were previously. They also seem to selling out of "the good stuff" like fritters earlier in the day. Some say that the owner sold the business to his son and he is cutting corners. I like Boston cream pies. after 2 bites...just way too much sugar. The donut was already over glazed with layers off sugar, the chocolate was insanely sweet, and they are shaped like balls meaning they over pumped them with cream....which was also overly sweetened with extra sugar. I live out in Boston and I've tried most of the popular donut places in the city. I would say Ruby Donut has some of the best donuts I've ever had! Their donuts are incredibly moist and were still warm from the oven. Their staff let us try a few of their popular flavors to help make our decision. We planned on getting one donut and left with 18 to share with friends. I would highly recommend this place! Everything is delicious and the staff is super friendly. The only suggestion I have for the company is to start an instagram. Having that social media platform would allow people to share pictures and tag the location. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere over by Devens. I have been here twice. The cake donuts are amazing, on the lighter side, not too dense. While not big the friendly staff move quickly packing up guest requests for the fabulous donuts. Always crowded at peak times the line moves quickly.
