If this isn't the cutest little place ever, I really don't know what is. The donuts are awesome, unique and fresh. The people are very sweet, and are always down to let you sample something. It's a small place, but everyone working there is incredibly attentive. Got some donuts here for the first time today. The donuts were fantastic and the owner was super friendly. The only downside was the men's bathroom. I have no doubt that the owner/probable sole employee works extremely hard seven days a week making the products. I feel that he needs to take some time to clean the bathrooms so that customers feel confident in the cleanliness of the establishment. Quite honestly, if i had used the bathroom first. These are THE BEST donuts! The cake like donuts are light and tasty with a crunchy glazed outer shell that melts in your mouth. The rasberry fritter was delicious and just the right size to satisfy a craving without overdoing a good thing. Coffee was yummy too. If you are in the Ayer/Shirley area do yourself a favor and hit up Ruby Donuts. They have the absolute best donuts around and their customer service is amazing. The staff will go out of their way to ensure you get exactly what you want and they are so kind. We have 3 rambunctious kids and they are always happy to see us, even though the kids can be a handful. They also have savory pastry and my husband LOVES the sausage and cheese offering. Best donuts. Period. They are not making "fancy" strange or unique flavors. Just standard styles of donuts made exceptionally well, sold by a nice staff. I went in one day hoping for a lemon filled but they were sold out. The staff took several honey dipped into the back, sliced it open and added lemon filling. Soft, fluffy donuts. Not undercooked, though some may think so because of the established chains product is so dry and crumbly. They have the standard flavors you'd expect and then a few unique ones. Friendly service. Lots of parking. Ample indoor seating. One doesn't go here for the ambiance, but the aesthetic adds to the uniqueness of the experience. Stopped in for my first time this morning and was pleasantly surprised. These are hands down the best donuts in the area and at a price point that competes with all of the popular chains. Great bang for your buck. The red fritters who's name escapes me had a delightful crunch with a light and sweet interior. Tearing them apart with your hands you can see they're perfectly cooked as the yeasty dough pulls and stretches. The Boston Kreme was exactly what i was looking for. With a full belly of not-too-sweet custard these things were rich and filling. Easily 2x the weight of an "average" Boston Kreme. I'll be coming back with friends/family for sure! read more

Heck, I want one now just thinking about it! While they don't have 52 varieties, what they do have is a much better product in terms of taste, freshness and price! Their breakfast sandwiches are really good too! While I'm not a big coffee drinker, their coffee isn't bad either and I prefer it over the other place.
