Terrible experience. Went for an early dinner, about 5:00pm. I ordered a quesadilla/salad bar combo. When I went thru the salad bar the first time, everything was half empty or worse. I scraped a few pieces of mixed greens, a bit of red onion, some mushrooms, scraped up the rest of the egg, gathered some sunflower seeds. The salad bar was also messy. I assumed since there was an employee taking pics they would replenish. Went back about 15 min later. Still empty. Mentioned it to our server. 10 min later, still empty. Mentioned it to the hostess. 15 min later...still empty. The manager came and asked if everything was okay and I said no. Long story short, when we left about 15 min later, they were just replenishing it. The manager said he would remove the charge. What they did was re-enter the quesadilla COMBO as an Ala carte item. Other customers were also saying it was empty. This is dinner time. The manager told me he was training a new employee about mixing a new salad dressing. Isn't dinner considered a busy time? They offer a military discount, but only on Mondays. In fact the mall only offers this discount on Mondays. Some stores will offer it every day, though. Been here many times with all different types of service. Today was stressful so we decide just to eat out. It was late so my son got his meal to go and wanted ice cream and settled on salad. Then he decide NO, like an autistic child does. So i finished it, and then my waiter, who i waited forever for at the table for said now he is going to charge me adult size. My wife and I got a $75 gift card to Ruby's for Christmas. That's a lot of Tuesdays. So wife and I made a special trip to Windward Mall. Very much like Texaco and Chevron are interchangeable, I think Ruby Tuesday's and TGI Fridays are the same restaurant. I would also debate the same about Chili's if they didn't serve nachos. We were greeted at the door with a yellow health placard. Apparently they had some food temperature issues during a health department visit. You actually want to dine at restaurants with a less than stellar review from the health department. Their business is on the line. Wife and I were not disappointed with pupu offerings. We ordered the fried green beans, buffalo wing seasoned fries complete with blue cheese sauce, pork belly sliders, and Thai shrimp. All came piping hot (hear that department of Health?) The food was well seasoned and the spicy offerings had a bit of a kick. Our waitress did an excellent job and was attentive. The manager also gave us a follow up which made us feel like respected customers. Maybe the health guys were in a bad mood that day, because these guys are green in my book. Had dinner here last night. Our server was very nice, and over-all our food was pretty good, but they served my son a meal that was hard as a rock! My son could have cracked his teeth! I tried to cut it with the steak knife but it was so hard, i could barely cut in to It! It was the pretzel dog...I thought it was supposed to be soft but it wasn't, and the sausages inside were dried out! Anyone could "see" how horrible it was even without touching it! And the person putting it on the plate still proceeded??? And, apparently our server didn't even look at the food before bringing it to us. When we told our server she took it away and brought him a new one, but now we all didn't have our foods at the same time; we like to eat together as a family. The mashed potatoes was terrible, salty and seems like they added other spices! Why not just have plain mashed? My guest had mashed too and it was the same. Hawaii folks have this odd fascination with chain restaurants. So I was not surprised when the lunch choices were Ruby Tuesdays or IHOP. um yeah, I dint just fly 2000+ miles to eat at an IHOP. Asian glazed salmon means salmon with some kind of peanut sauce. Perhaps they should have called it the oriental salmon. The salmon fillet was perfectly cooked, while the sauce was "interesting." But I was perplexed by the cheese on the rice pilaf. The beer selection is limited. Aside from the standard Bud, Coors, Miller, and Hawaiian microbrew; they did have Blue Moon. Despite the low reviews, my husband and I heard by word of mouth that Ruby Tuesdays was pretty good. Of course, we decided to check it out Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and taken to our table right away. The host took us to an area where we were able to store our stroller (major bonus [if you have a little one you know what I mean]). This place is S L O W as molasses coming out of the bottle. My family decided to come here after visiting the graveyard for fathers day. Initially my dad wanted to eat chinese but my sister didnt so we ended up eating here. It was lunch time and there were 6 of us and we were seating immediately so it wasn't too crowded. As everyone got settled our waitress took our drink order but didnt comeback with it till like 10 mins. Then she took our order and never came back or checked on us even when she passed by to check on other tables around us. As for the food it took F O R E V E R! I'd say way more than 20 mins because my mom and sister went to Macy's and by the time they came back the food still wasn't there and still had to wait another 30 mins or so. When the food finally came it wasnt really hot and they took another 8+mins to bring my sister's dish (chicken picatta w/ mash potatoes and broccoli) while everyone else was eating. I ordered the creole catch which is a cajun seasoned tilapia with mash potatoes and broccoli. The fish was nice and moist with a good flavor so that was good. However, the best part was the mash potatoes as it was smooth and creamy tasting,,,mmm. The rest of the family seemed to enjoy their food however, my mom ordered the loco moco and that place was a mountain of rice with a small-med size patty and egg so that was kind of a rip. I didn't realize that the hysterical shrieking (see my review of the "Cubby Caboose") would happen every single time the train passed by, which seemed like at least a hundred times. I apologize for that. I find you a tad on the pricey side for the sort of fare served, and I don't care to spend $6.50 on a kids meals. My children are only worth about $4 up to maybe $5.50 a pop (they may be worth more as they age, like wine). Plus I think that grilled cheese should be less expensive than breaded shrimp, but that's just me. Your food was edible--the ribs were actually quite good--despite the broccoli being overcooked and salty, and the breaded shrimp not so fabulous. I consider it a personal mission to consume 10,000 pieces of breaded shrimp in my lifetime, but I left eight of yours behind. I was planning on stealing my children's desserts as that is the sort of mother I am, so was disappointed to find only 2 miniature sized chocolate chip cookies. That is not a dessert. That is a teeny snack. The menu should say the kids meal includes a beverage and a teeny snack. The word "dessert" holds too many promises and conjures visions of things like pudding and orange sherbert, both of which were not present. Though mildly disturbed by the $13 price, my husband enjoyed your salad bar. He enjoyed it four times, and with his mouth full of supposed vegetable goodness mumbled something about how "nutritious and healthy" it felt. WTF happened to this place? It used to be a great "white person food" place, some fun menu things, etc. It was always crazy busy and average-priced. Now? My Lord. It's a fortune!! That's about $25 a person when, at a place like Chili's or Friday's, two people can eat for that. Their menu is odd, too. This is mainly the only place you can eat at windward mall, lets face it... its the only choice. So despite the competition I got fairly use to this place. Every time I get my hair done at Regis this is the place I find myself going to. The service is just unbearably slow... it takes the waiters to get your drinks, refills and your bill 30 minutes. They really need to work on that because it drives me insane! Despite the service I like the salad bar, its not the best but for salad it will just do. There are not that many restaurants in Hawaii for salad bars so this place is an exception. The black croutons are delicious because it is hard on the outside but soft inside and so crunchy but sometimes it can tend to get salty. If I don't want to be healthy I order the baby-back ribs and choose the original sauce to go with it. The ribs are so tender and the meat falls right out and oh it is finger licking good!!! Food poisoning from undercooked chicken on Friday, 06/17. It is now 06/20 and I am still dealing with symptoms of food poisoning. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich as a 'healthy' choice but that was a bad decision because aside from the avocado and thick cheese it was topped with pieces of bacon and it was glistening with oil. How do I know it was from the chicken at Ruby Tuesdays in Windward mall? My stomach immediately felt sore after forcing myself to eat half of the sandwich. My BF and I never really went there unless we were with others or we were craving burgers that weren't fast food. We decided to go to Ruby Tuesday even though I was a bit skeptical about ordering ribs from them.We had a bad Chili's ribs experience, and I was worried RT might be like that too. When our server came, I ordered the Classic Barbecue Baby Back Ribs with a baked potato and broccoli. My BF ordered the Avocado Turkey Burger. Our food came in a timely manner. I took a bit of my ribs, and was immediately hooked. The only other barbecue ribs I've ever really eaten that I've liked were the Tony Roma ribs. I was really surprised at how good the ribs were. I also was surprised how the potato (I mean who could mess up a potato??) and the broccoli were. The broccoli wasn't salty which I was worried of. The Avocado Turkey Burger (composed of avocado, swiss cheese, applewoood smoked bacon, onions, and pickles) was just as delicious. When this side of the island I like going to Ihop, They have a really good pot roast... YUM!!! On this day I felt like a rib eye.... Ruby's was right there why not?? well.... I tell you why never again.... walked in and they sat me..... On the menu it had pulehu ribeye 15.99 so I order that and some onion rings.... server says.. I go hook you up with the meal, it comes with 2 sides I say, OK.... she askes how I want it done, I say MED....... she asks If I wanted a drink... diet... it takes a long time for my meal to finally get to the table and when it does... Saturday night, August 12. Usually I don't like coming to Ruby Tuesday because the food quality doesn't match the price in my opinion. But yesterday we came around 8-930ish and everything was great. We ordered the hickory pork chop, top sirloin, spinach artichoke, and this new appetizer that wasn't great at all. But everything else was fantastic. Also, whoever was the girl that was working the bar last night was on point as well. She made great and consistent tasting apple Martini's with caramel. This Ruby Tuesday is located in Windward Mall in Kaneohe, in the Macy's wing. I always knew that there was a Ruby Tuesday here, but dined in by accident. It was the night of my husband's birthday and we were actually gonna eat dinner with my cousins at BWW because he was craving wings. Due to the fact that the hostess there screwed up on where they were gonna seat us, the wait was getting way too long. With my cousin's girlfriend who's pregnant and all our kids getting hungry, we had to think of alternatives for dinner. I ventured right across of BWW to Ruby Tuesday to ask how long the wait would be for 13 people because everyone was already getting hungry. The guy at the host station looked at me with big eyes when I told him the amount of people in our party. But then a girl came by telling me that they had a big party in the back that has been camping out there for 3 hours and that they could clear them out, so they could seat us if we wanted. I then learned that she was their manager as she walked away to notify that party to leave. She told me that we could check at BWW to see how much longer the wait would be of us, and that she could get the table ready for us if we decided to go there instead. I walked back to where my family was waiting to let them know what they said to me, and while we were down to the deciding factor on whether to dine at BWW or Ruby Tuesday, the manager (who's name is Nikki) walked to us to let us know that they cleared up the tables and had it ready if we wanted to eat there instead. My husband felt bad for everyone, so we ended up going to Ruby Tuesday. Our server, Paul was FLAWLESS. Having to deal with our big party all on his own, with no mistakes blew me away. Not once did he have a salty look on his face or tone in his voice. He always checked up on us to make sure that we were satisfied, refilling all of our drinks without having to ask. His service along with Nikki's was all what made our dining experience worth remembering and this 5 star review. This Windward Mall location is convenient, especially for anyone in Kaneohe, around the Heeia area. This location has a full bar area, that you are welcomed to sit at, whenever the restaurant is full. The service here is very hit or miss. Sometimes, you'll have a great server who will refill your fountain drinks and water whenever the liquid is even half full, and sometimes you won't ever see your server aside from when your food comes out, your order is taken, and your check is brought. It's a 50-50 shot. The food does take an AWFUL long time to come out. Which baffles me, because the food, while I have had food there that tasted alright, doesn't taste like anything special. It doesn't taste like anything that doesn't come out of a frozen bag, or a can. The last time we went there, I ordered a strawberry margarita and a the Wild Salmon with a double side of rice pilaf. The rice pilaf is quite good, the rice is nice and has that al dente factor. The salmon was tasty and flaky. What I didn't like was, I had to excuse myself to make a phone call. The waiter assumed that I "had left" and boxed up my order, without asking any of my friends at the table. When I got back, I saw everyone eating and asked where my food was. To the waiter's credit, he apologized and offered to plate it again for me. I appreciated that, but I still didn't like that my food was tampered with before I was finished with it. All in all, if you're at Windward Mall and you want a sit-down meal, then this is your only option, and it's not entirely bad. You know after seeing all the Yelp reviews I was really hesitant to eat here. But we found ourselves in the Kaneohe area yesterday and due to receiving two gift cards for Christmas we decided to take a chance. SERVICE (5/5): Let's start with this. The first time the waitress came by to take our drink orders she noticed that my wife, Martha C. was hesitant about trying the iced tea so she told her that if she didn't like it that she could always switch to a different drink. How cools is that?! When it came time for our food to arrive it was actually delivered by the cook who looked like he was doing a jig (Irish dance) to our table. He asked us if we wanted any condiments, but I could sense that he wanted us to try it without it (even though he didn't say anything). I think he was relieved when we said no. Honestly after trying the steak, it was definitely better without. All throughout our meal the waitress made sure to have our beverages topped off and the salad plates removed from our table. FOOD (5/5): Now let me start of by saying that most married couple swap food couple of times during a meal. Especially telling each other to try something when they think it is really good. So where to begin. The salad bar was decent, could have been better but for $6 something I was looking at it as something to eat if service was slow (which it wasn't). It had the usual and was well stocked with an assortment of things to add to your salad, along with several other varieties of salads (pasta, potato, etc). The thing that stood out to us was the Mac & Cheese side that came with the wife's dinner and the Steak and Lobster. The Mac & Cheese was outstanding, the noodles were nicely cook with the cheese softly melted complimenting it really well. The Steak was perfectly cooked, with just the right doneness that we ordered, it was perfectly seared locking in all of the flavor so there was no need for any condiments. I like it here and have never had a really bad experience as mentioned on some of the reviews. I have to start off by saying that our server was GREAT! We tried the Bulgogi Fries and it was something different and interesting. Suggest to have the sriracha on the side - in case you find it too overpowering. The salad bar is decent too. I like that they are coming out with new dishes to create a different experience but I do wish that they would do some "local" specials. read more

Hmm nothing too special about ruby Tuesdays. Last time I went here was for the all you can eat salad bar. Not many places I know of offer a salad buffet which makes this unique. I think there should be more places in Hawaii that offer a salad bar but a better variety and selection of salad bar items. One of the most dismal dining experiences I've had in a good, long time. I was on Oahu for a short trip and took a quick solo hike through the mall to check out what's trendy these days. Thinking that Ruby Tuesday's would be a smarter, healthier option than the Food Court, I went in for a cup of soup. It arrived, twenty minutes later, lukewarm, its top congealed. Cream of Broccoli is a simple soup to make, but this was basically little more than a bowl of overheated half and half with a bag of frozen vegetables thrown in that hadn't properly dethawed. The side of French fries I ordered were also lukewarm, limp, and disgustingly oily. I was also charged for a club soda, my server was practically nonexistent, and the music was grating. I realize this is a venue right smack dab in a mall, but standards should still be met. Overall, this was incredibly disappointing. I won't return, unless forced. Even then, I'll duck out 'for fresh air' and spend my money at the Food Court instead, if I must. read more
