I had the New Orleans Tilapia with shrimp had them leave 9th Cajun sauce. It was very very good. Josh the bartender was my server. Stopped for lunch and bartender/waitress was not attentive at all. Soup served cold, had to wait for utensils and refills. I wish I could leave zero stars since zero food is what we could actually stomach. We waited 45 minutes to be seated. Once at the table we ordered tea. I ordered the ultimate crispy chicken sandwich minus onions and lettuce with fries as a side. My wife ordered chicken quesadillas and specifically requested no onion or lettuce at all. We waited another 40 minutes for food. When it arrived my sandwich was a dried up fried chicken patty on a plain bun. There was no cheese, bacon, sauces, pickles, tomato or condiments of any kind on the sandwich. The fries were cold and hard. My wife's quesadilla was literally stuffed full of caramelized onions. I told the waitress that my order was incorrect and she stated that it was what I ordered. Boy that menu picture of the ultimate crispy chicken sandwich must certainly be false advertisement if what I was served was what I ordered. She apologized for the onions on my wife's but never offered to correct it. I refused my order and the waitress comped the entrees and then charged us $10 for two glasses of tea. We never had silverware or napkins offered to us and I finally had to get them from a box at the back door so my wife could try to choke down her onion quesadilla. WORST MEAL OF MY LIFE! The waitress gave the excuse that all the kitchen staff are new and don't know what they are doing. My advice: go across the street to the Burger King drive thru for a much better culinary experience. Update: Guest relations called me and apologized. I feel better about my visit. Went for dinner - hey - it's a Ruby Tuesday, so you know what to expect and this one was no different. Service was good - not great, but didn't wait long for anything. Salad bar well stocked and fresh. Had the new chicken parmesan - it was pretty good - really crispy. Very convenient to hotel next door where I was staying. read more

Right now this place isn't at its best. Low staff filty carpet slow service. 15 mins to get a server to take orders, 55 mins to get order after that. So 70 mins to get food with the place 50 percent empty. I know it's just the lack of kitchen staff but you can't count on stopping for a lunch in a hour at all now. read more

Two couples, we met at Ruby Tuesday for a nice family dinner. Good menu, we had salmon, pasta and steak. Everything was delicious. One went to the salad bar and bragged about it, great variety. We were well satisfied; but, just had to have dessert! The caramel crunch cake was super! Ruby Tuesday is s good place for a pleasant Saturday night, food did not disappoint. I'm usually a fan of Ruby Tuesday's. In fact despite resistance I always stick up for the chain if for no other reason then they have a salad bar. However this location in Newport Tennessee I cannot vouch for. I was disgusted by the filthy condition of this restaurant. The floors are greasy the tables are sticky the salad bar is uncapped at best. I don't know maybe they shouldn't have carpet in there as well because you can't help but think how much food is been spilled on the carpet and it just sits there and festers bacteria. I wont be back to this location anytime soon. read more

Yikes.... this bartender (Melissa) actually cut me off after only 6 Coronas. Is this for real? I was sitting at the bar, minding my own business (eating chips and Queso) and not talking to a soul. She says "I've never seen you in here before, so I'm not sure how much you can handle." Well, unfortunately I'm nearly 40 years old and over 300 pounds.... my buzz typically kicks in around 12-13 beers. Yet she had no problem sweet-talking a few regulars and pouring them Tequila shots??? No matter... plenty of other options around town. I guess they are ultra-conservative at this location. We just stopped here while driving through the area. The food was fine. The salad bar was pretty good. One of the water glasses had food bits in it. My husbands entree arrived after the rest of us had basically finished eating. And after that, my daughters side of fries arrived. My kids both ordered off the kids menu. The entrees are listed as $3.99 or 4.99. The drinks are listed separately as $1.29. We all just drank water. We were charged $1.29 per kid for soft drink. We asked the server and she stated that the kids meals come with soft drinks so we were charged. What the heck? Why would the price be listed separately on the menu then? I was going to stick around to talk to the manager, but another table seemed to be having an issue with the service as well and maybe the server was just having a bad day, so I paid the overcharge and let it go. read more

We were looking for a vegi burger and salad bar and new Rudy Tuesday had both in the past so we looked on line and verified before we arrived, we called the location and ask for pricing and were told cost so we arrived and ordered, after being seated and attempting to order we were informed that they did not have a veggie burger and that the price that we were given over the phone was incorrect because the girl at the front was new and didn't know the accurate pricing.We were also told that the menus were new and it reflected new pricing and that the website that we looked at while it said Ruby Tuesday was not accurate. read more

It's a Ruby Tuesday, what more can you say really? The salad bar is pretty much consistent at all RT's, and good for the price. I don't frequent RT's very much, but rather out of convenience. This particular experience might possibly reflect Ruby Tuesday's president Buettgen's recent statement that RT"s is "stepp[ing] back" from recently retired founder Sandy Beal's "effort..to move 786-unit Ruby Tuesday to a more upscale operation and market image". The last few times I had been to a RT's I was impressed that each time had been better than the last, not they seem to be reverting to accepted mediocrity. Buettgen had been the SVP-chief marketing officer at Darden Restaurants (parent of Red Lobster and Olive Garden), so this would certainly go along with their philosophy. I had the Caribbean Chicken which was fine, but didn't meld well. The chicken itself was bland and the salsa was spicy, it was two ends of the spectrum that clashed no matter how you tried to portion it. It seemed rushed maybe, and clearly the elements were prepared separately, and then only combined on the plate. read more

Went to Ruby Tuesday's on dinner break tonight, been there before it's close to work, we told the server we were on break and had to be back to work in an hour. The food was good and came out quick, the problem was we asked for to go boxes and the check and never got either. The server walked by our table to others several times she did stop long enough to ask if anyone had brought our boxes we said not yet she left and we never saw her again. I went to the bar and asked for boxes and our check, the manager got them for me. When I got back to our table the ladies at the next table said they should have warned us about the service they got there before 4 and we're still waiting to get their checks it was now after 6 they had stopped for a burger . Nice place. Had a "shrimp fondue" appeteaser. Decided to get hot bites as an entree. Big mistake! For $7.99 I got a handful of chicken bites and 10% were cooked hard and inedible. Never again! Walked in, no greeting. Not a word until I greeted her. She exhibited zero customer contact skills. Not even a smile. After some observation, the dining area was crumb and sticky filthy. Every booth, every surface. This place needs a good two days closed with buckets and rags, asses and elbows. Server was pleasant. Had salmon and salad bar. Food was good. It's hard not to wonder what cooking surfaces look like in kitchen if public dining area is considered acceptable in this messy, sticky condition. I didn't encounter the restroom. 12/14/2018 Terrible food and service. Got $20 rib eye steak that was fatty and small. Steak was the thickness of a piece of sandwich meat.

My husband and I eat out a lot because have to travel a lot. We've been wealthy and we've been poor so we've had everything from cheapest fast food to the highest dollar steakhouse. Price wise, Ruby Tuesday is a nice middle. So you would expect a middle average experience. I've eaten many times at Ruby Tuesday, though it's been a long time, and as expected had an average experience until tonight. I'm also gluten intolerant. We started to go to the Sagebrush but the wait was a little longer than we could wait. I'm so glad because I don't think they could have topped the experience we had at Ruby Tuesday. The waiter was intelligent, knowledgeable, thoughtful, clear and friendly. I thought he would be good management material, but I'd hate to see him leave the floor. The gluten free options were actually exceptional which is rare for a mid priced restaurant. I've always liked the salad bar, but now it's even better. They have the gluten free cheese crackers that I've had before at home. Mmmm mmmmm mmmm. The ribs fell off the bone. Fabulous! Impressive. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a trip from NC to Nashville. The food was fine. Ruby Tuesday usually has a decent salad bar. I'm giving them 1 star because the waitress charged my card twice - once for the $43.58 for our check and a second time for $357.00 - and didn't bother to tell me. When I discovered the erroneous charge the next day, I called and spoke to a manager who explained that it was an honest mistake and that everyone thought it had been taken care of the previous day. He was very apologetic and offered a free meal to compensate me for the hassle of being on vacation 400+ miles from home with nearly 400 bucks missing from my bank account. I'm still only giving them one star because the server chose not to tell me about the mistaken charge and I had to spend a half day of my vacation dealing with this BS. read more

I had a steak, which is a rarity for me since most chain restaurants can not properly cook a well done steak. Nevertheless, I decided to order one here and it was very nicely cooked. Slightly braised on the outside and so excellently juicy in the center The salad bar seemed to be well laid out. I loved the crisp greens. The staff was friendly. The waitress seemed to go out of her way for all of her customers and the manager seemed to know how to run a restaurant with precision. read more

Yeah I know, it's a Ruby Tuesday so why the 5 stars? I have been having lunch here nearly every Wednesday for almost 4 years which would probably equate to about 150 lunches. One of the factors that sets this particular Ruby's from the others that we have never had a bad meal and the food is always consistent. We never needed to roll the dice! The employees are all experienced, polite, humorous, accommodating, and there's very small employee turn over. Sure, we have our favorite servers and bartenders, but the others are just as good.
