Very nice waitress,we had an appetizer of crab cake & shrimps. Then we had steak burgers with onions and mushrooms. Mine had a sweet potato side and hers had broccoli. The both of them were delicious and reasonably priced. The bus boy came for empty dishes and was very funny and interesting. Been there many times and it is always a good place to eat!!

We were seated immediately on a Monday evening. Our waitress was very good and very attentive. She knew the menu well, as well as all the beer & food recommendations. We started with sweet corn tamale cakes. I loved them! So many different flavors and something I've never tried! Hubby had a prime rib sandwich with macaroni and cheese and loved it! I had the big burger without blue cheese and french fries. It was so big! I only ate half and hubby was able to finish the hamburger. (Perhaps I filled up on the tamale cakes?!) it was very good There is outdoor seating as well as quite a bit of inside seating. If you're in the area, I would recommend stopping there. Good food for a decent price.

KODAK, TN 37764 / AMERICAN STEAKHOUSE / 09-27-23 / DINNER +They also offer fresh catch of the day options. +The prime rib was cooked nicely, medium rare like how I wanted. +The house salad with strawberry vinaigrette dressing was good. +The service was okay.

Lovely place. Feels upscale but the prices are decent. Great place for a work meetup or date night. I had the voodoo tacos with corn brûlée and as odd as that sounds, it was so good. Like a sweet creamed corn with a charred sugar topping. My husband had the chophouse burger and it was huge! He said it was the best burger he's had in a long time. We'll definitely be back for steaks to try.

Another really great dinner. I had the petite pork chops and broccoli and creamed spinach and everything was delicious. Also the coffee presentation is really nice too. The way it's brought warms the cup up and it was delicious.

We were traveling and stopped here just before Christmas. They had a long wait for supper but offered a quick curbside service so thats what we chose The prime rib sandwich was absolutely incredible We had the sugar snap peas as the side and they were great. Came with half a loaf of fresh bread too. I went inside to pick up our food and the ambiance was quite romantic with low lights and a cozy fireplace!

20 minutes waiting on hold to place a to-go order is outrageous. Don't waste your time when this is the type of service you get.

It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.

Everyone had just been seated. It would have been a 45 minute wait. I had hoped maybe they would ask the couple if they would mind dining inside. We left and stopped at another business. It had been awhile since we were there so I called to see an outside table was available. They told me probably in 10-15 minutes. Knowing we had been there earlier and we had dogs, they wouldn't hold it for us. Food was great. Their tenderloin could easily serve 4 people. The fried deviled eggs are excellent!

The wait is worth it if you get there before 8 am. The omelettes had a lot of filling and were very good. The buckwheat pancake while thin had a really nice texture. The pot roast eggs Benedict was good but the biscuit is so thick and soft and the meat is soft that it would be better with an English muffin for a texture factor. People are frustrating--especially on vacation. But, if you are irritated, do not assume that you won't be understood. I speak 3 languages well and understand more. The wait was awful, but to be expected. And our waitress was helpful and friendly--though not super attentive. She was busy, though, not lazy. The food was decent. Not earth shattering. Bottom line...if you want BIG food. And you have 1.5 hours to wait for food...it is a great tourist spot. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The cinnamon roll bread is well done...but the flavor was tame and the glaze was not good. My son loved the Aretha Frankenstein pancakes. However, if you want good food, there has to be a better spot.
