I noticed the sanitation grade of 95, which was a bit discouraging, But the salad bar was fresh and our server Tyra was excellent. As usual, the restaurant was mostly empty. It's still not a place I'd choose to come to anymore, but their coupons are great for this economy. We got a burger with fries or tots and the salad bar for $8.99! That's cheaper than fast food. Arrived on a busy Sunday to empty tables throughout. Was told there was a thirty minute wait due to low staff. The two tables we saw sat had been there the entire time of our 30 min wait with no drinks or service. Our server was nice so that's the 1 star. Also our order was taken quickly and our drinks stayed full. Our food arrived at various temperatures. Some almost room temp some burned our mouth. We waited a long time for food. Some food burned. We were seated next to the hostess stand where they used foul language all night and complaining. At two hours before closing they ran out of tea, not sure why they weren't making more. Saw several tables around us with same issues. So I would say many left unhappy. Update: Thought it important to update since I was contacted here by RT. I was sent an email asking what location I visited and that I would be contacted by someone from that location. It took the food a little bit to come which is fine, I don't mind waiting for good food. The food was awful, I had the catfish and shrimp, and it was very disappointing. I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment we walked in, the service was abysmal. We were ignored for over 15 minutes before being seated, and when we finally did sit down, the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping us. Our server took forever to bring drinks, and when they did, they were wrong. We tried to ask for an alternative, but it took another 20 minutes to get it.The food was another disappointment. My steak was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. The sides were bland, and the portion sizes were laughable for the price. When we mentioned it to the manager, they seemed annoyed, offering no real apology or solution.I don't usually mind paying for a meal if the experience is good, but this was a complete waste of money. I placed an order from the Ruby Tuesday website for dinner. The order was placed for delivery. The delivery was done through DoorDash. One of the items that was ordered was not delivered. I then spent 45 minutes going back and forth between Ruby Tuesday and DoorDash with both companies saying that it was on the other to give the refund for the missing item. The manager at Ruby Tuesday was condescending and rude. I will never eat here again either in store and absolutely never through their website. I would recommend anyone ordering delivery through the website to beware, if you don't receive all of your items they will be rude and will refuse to refund the item in question. read more

Here is a simple thing anyone can do to immediately improve their customers' dining experience. Don't have the hostess seat a customer at a table, and then leave them there for ten minutes with no server, no nobody coming to ask if they'd like a drink, order, or anything. Places that get my high rating are places that wow me, and places that are consistently good. This place is consistently good. The food is always good, cooked the way I ask, service is always the best, salad bar is great, and clean. Right now they have a station with hand sanitizer, and gloves, requiring everyone to wear gloves on both hands while at the salad bar. This should be a standard for all buffet stations honestly. They have a great bar to eat at, smaller, private tables for smaller parties, and great to bring the whole family as well. read more

Visited Thomasville, NC location. I had not been in years and received the buy one get one email coupon. We visited on 2/2/25 around 12:30. The restaurant was not busy. Our server was David, who because of his service and personality was the only reason we stayed. We ordered. 20 minutes later, David comes back to tell us they are out of the Maui and steak tip Kabobs. We re-ordered. He came back to fill our tea glasses and let us know they were out of sweet tea. We choose to keep our tea and use a sugar substitute. Later we hear that 5 staff members had called out. Our food finally arrives and it was good. We paid with credit cards. several minutes later David comes back to let us know they were having issues with the credit card payment service. So we waited. Later he said they thought they had it resolved. David apologized several times for the mishaps but kept a smile on his face. Like I said, he was the only reason we stayed. This was once a great restaurant for a smaller town like Thomasville, but things have certainly changed. Maybe due to Covid or other issues. I hope this restaurant turns around. Had the pleasure of meeting friends here for dinner last night. I hadn't been to a Ruby Tuesday in at least 15 years.....service was great thanks to Taylor, she was attentive, very sweet and helpful! My friends and I were happy to see that the salad bar was available. The food was mediocre - which is why I don't go often. I had the tenders and they were the size of fish sticks. But that salad bar was well worth it all! Next time we go, we've all decided to have the salad bar only. It was also $5 margarita night - so a couple of those for all of us was also worth it. Tried to eat here on a Sunday evening at dinner. Big mistake. Waited at the front of the house for about 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Then one of the servers came over to say hello. Nice enough guy, but it all ended there. Another highly rude server came over and said "the manager said everyone has to wait for 20 minutes since we are short staffed." The first guy asked her what to do, and she replied " I don't care, it's not my f--king problem (fill in the bank with the word she actually used, and loud enough that we all heard it). After being told we couldn't sit at any of the many open tables to wait, I told them we'd be leaving and had just wanted to try the place out. Her reply was, "I can't help it if we are short handed". Worst Ruby Tuesday I have ever been to eat. So bad didn't even get to eat the meal I ordered after 2 plate of the wrong food being brought out. Salad bar had rotting lettuce, not maintained or clean. Restroom has 3 stalls but only 2 are usable. Can't really blame the staff as the leader is in charge and sets the expectations and standards. If I were a health inspector, I would have closed this restaurant for cleaning and inspection of food. Whom ever put the lettuce out didn't notice that it was slimy and brown growth. Disgusting... We went To RT tonight based on recent reviews. We thought the quality of the food had improved. This was not the case. The wait staff worked hard but it was obvious they were short staffed. We are okay with that. Our waiter worked hard, was attentive and did the best he could. Our meal? Meh. The chicken sandwich was overcooked, the burgers were just okay and on the small side, the steak was just plain ugly. The fish and chips were the only decent thing delivered to the table. I have came to this place many times over the years, but lately it has just seemed to go downhill - my last trip was also more than likely my last time. I ordered the Triple prime burger and asked for it medium rare but closer to medium. Now anyone who knows anything about meat knows medium rare has a lot of pink, well this thing had pink alright - when I bit into it it was basically raw ground beef. I sent it back and the manager came out to ask me if I knew that I ordered a medium rare burger. I replied that I did, but the burger was literally NOT cooked at all and she walked away with kind of a condescending attitude.
