Kids chicken nuggets

This is reminiscent of the 1970s dinner with the clientele a mix of the retired and teenager looking for a coffee and burger. The restaurant is clean, with tables cleaned quickly and the decor a mix of watercolors and posters all reminding you that you're in Montana. The burger was good, and the fries hand cut and a bit thick - which is my favorite. No complaints!

My first time visiting Montana, and I tried Ruby's. (I then returned again the next day lol) Let me say this first, the people, the people, the people made me fall in love with this place. The food is AMAZING which will make you like a place but mix that with great people and it's a wrap! I will always come to Ruby's when I'm in Montana. There is a parking lot and a few surrounding lots as well as street parking. The vibe inside is like "hometown family" warmth and love. I definitely recommend Ruby's Cafe!

Fast and quick service! Food was fast and also scrumptious with decent portions. Definitely a busy spot but worth stopping at! (Huge biscuits!)

Scrambled eggs with hashbrowns, chipotle veggie sausage, and wheat toast.

I stopped here on my way to Coeur d'Alene and was very happy. I got eggs, hashbrowns, wheat toast, and the chipotle veggie sausage. The sausage was flavorful and had a nice texture, especially for a plant-based item. There were also many hot sauces to try which makes me happy as a heat queen. Service was quick and friendly. I would visit this place regularly if I lived in Missoula.

Breakfast Menu

Nailbanger: Rubys Local Legend. Price and Portions Good. Food and Service Great. Parking and Bathrooms good. Can't go wrong here.

Atmosphere is very Montana. It'll transform you back in time to an old time cafe. Very cute and rustic. Ordered the Firehouse Burger with green chile, pepper jack, and bacon. The green chile gives it a taste of mild heat and is very good. Service is friendly, fast, and tends to your needs nicely. The milkshakes come in classic glasses and my kids loved it.

Local hole in the wall that does a fine job on the basics. Has a decent Chicken Fried Steak made from scratch.

Nice and clean but understaffed when we arrived at 11:15. Food preparation was fine, but creativity was lacking. I won't be back.

I tried multiple places and they were packed. Ruby's didn't have a wait and I'm surprised. Food was great and service was even better.

The location makes it very convenient to go to the very pleasant bookstore next door while waiting for a table - there is no shortage of customers even on a Wednesday late morning. The line is well-managed with a waiting area and restaurant pagers handed out. It seems like a place that is frequented as much by young people as retirees. They have a combo plate that includes two eggs, hash browns, a protein (I've so far only tried the corned beef hash), and two pancakes starting at 17 with upgrades available for the pancakes. It can easily be split for breakfast and offers a really good variety of things. The corned beef hash, hash browns, and pancakes are all top notch in my opinion (and the eggs are good eggs also). There are numerous Best Breakfast Winner posters hanging above the window to the kitchen and I don't think this place needs much support - they seem to be doing quite well - but in case this reaches someone who is visiting Missoula and doesn't know about it, it's well-worth a stop. The Vegan Wrap was AMAZING!!!!! By reading the ingredients,…read more you think it'll taste like your standard Vegan wrap. Nope! It was so much more delicious!! Even a non-Vegan will absolutely love this.

Lost my business. 8 months ago I posted a review about this…read moreplace due to them forgetting my sauce on the side that I pay extra for each time. I love these burritos. They are a specific craving for me pretty dang often. Why? Because I love the burrito mixture with the SAUCE. I order, and because I have only so much time to eat in between patients, I ask for the sauce on the side so it all doesn't get soggy. I put specifically *sauce on the side* Then pay even more for ANOTHER sauce on the side in effort to get them to realize I want a SAUCE ON THE SIDE. More times than not, they have forgotten. The only times they haven't is when I ask the dash driver to confirm. In a moment of severe craving at work yesterday, I said heck with it, I'll order a burrito. Guess what?! NO SAUCE. I called in and in my most pleasant voice, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy but they would take my number down and have her call me back. NO call ever came. I was complaining to a coworker and sure enough she says "oh, that happened to a coworker last week." After that, I went and checked the reviews. Sure enough there were multiple complaining about not getting sauce on the side. At this point I'm questioning if the employees are just that dense or is this just full on laziness? I'm being ripped off every time for something I shouldn't even have to pay for in the first place. Won't be going back. Definitely won't be suggesting to visiting friends and family either.
