Found an insect in my water glass, the breaded green beans appetizer was a visual deception with it being filled 1/3 with actual product and 2/3 with chopped red cabbage underneath. Really?? For $7.00 I could get an entre. WTH?? Not a fan of this location, the service, or the quality of food. They dropped the ball. The only positive thing I can say was that my side salad was ok with fresh crisp lettuce. At that point, after having a migraine all day and the fiasco with this location, the food, the bill ( over charging and having it take 3 attempts ( 3 different people -finally the asst manager came to to fix it ) I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. We stopped by Ruby's because we were tired of sitting in traffic driving back to San Diego from LA. We didn't walk in with super high expectations and we're glad we didn't. The food is ok. Nothing special. The best part of the meal was the crispy garlic fries and the milkshake. The burgers were alright, but were nothing special. It is cool the way they've decorated everything. Fun to look around and you would expect there to be a fun vibe, but that's not the case. It seems like none of the employees get along and there is a thick uncomfortable feeling. Probably one of the nicest Ruby's we've been to. Loved the decor. My husband sent back his over cooked double burgers but in a few minutes got new ones cooked perfectly. I wanted to try the Impossible Burger after hearing all the hype. It was just as good as their regular ones but $13.99 was a bit steep considering the small size. I got to thinking maybe it tasted so good because they cook it on the same grill as the meat. According to the manager they "clean" an area on the grill off to make it but can't guarantee there's no cross contamination. Hmmm After reading what goes into an Impossible Burger on the way home, I probably won't be having one again. It's might be environmentally conscious but not safe for humans. Only tested on 28 rats for a month. Nothing in it is real. It's certainly not plant based. I think I'll stick with eating real food. read more

We came when there was an event called Cars and Coffee. The cars were really nice. Unfortunately the cars leaving the event were causing a ton of exhaust and gas fumes. Not to mention noise from engines rev'ing. Gave me a headache and totally made the eating experience miserable. I like cars. But being indoors and having to breath the exhaust fumes is not kosher. An easy fix would have been if they directed the cars leaving the event away from the buildings. Maybe through the lower level parking structure. read more

Breakfast special! I had the $5.99 breakfast special and was pretty happy. For $6 I felt like I got a fantastic deal! The deal came with eggs, potatoes, two strips of bacon and a very delicious cinnamon French toast. The Cinnamon French toast was delicious which made the meal worth $6. Everything else was mediocre, but again for 6 bucks you are really getting a good deal. The only drawback, was I had to wait almost 20 minutes to give my food, even though there weren't too many patrons in the restroom. Bottom line, I'm not sure about the other items on the menu but if you're in the neighborhood and have a chance to stop in Monday through Friday for this breakfast special, I say go for it. read more

The service here was stress inducing it was so bad. The hostess girls couldn't figure out how to seat people in the order of arrival. The waiter didn't arrive for a very long time. The girl that delivered the food said it was a different burger than we ordered then walked away. The waiter tried to charge us for more beverages than we ordered. The food was ultra greasy. Just a big disappointment. The only plus was the decor. Attention to every detail. If they paid that much attention to hiring people and making food, this could have been extraordinary. This location is probably an introvert's idea of heaven. I had no reviews regarding the food because we were never actually served any. It was a busy morning when we arrived but that's no excuse to just ignore us We were seated fairly quickly but that's where the service ended. We sat around waiting for over 15 minutes without any type of acknowledgement. By now it was lunch time and no one offered a lunch menu either. I get faster service at the DMV! Needless to say we left after 20 mins of awkwarding eyeing other patrons' food. Totally worth my time! This place is great if you're the type that likes to go to restaurant and be ignored. Came in when they first opened. Food took forever. Orders were messed up. Fries were cold. So I decided they had a few kinks to work out. Came in again on a Saturday. Food took over 45 minutes to come out. We were a party of 2. They were out of the Impossible Burger, which was they only thing I wanted. Granted, they did bring a basket of fries while we waited. I ended up having to order the tacos without chicken and asked for black beans and breakfasts potatoes inside. What I got was tortillas filled with lettuce and literally 12-14 beans inside. Kitchen forgot the potatoes. I was appalled. Who would pay to eat that? Luckily our waitress was very understanding because this seems like the norm for this location. She took it off the bill, but that was not what I wanted. I want to be able to enjoy going to a Ruby's that is close to me and have a good experience all the time.
