Delicious, but I do have some comments. - I prefer my eggs fully scrambled in my breakfast burritos. Went there twice in two days. Great service. Clean tables. The Mac nut waffles were good except the nuts were slightly over roasted. But the loco moco with corned beef hash was so good that I came back the second day to try it again. As good as any I've had in Hawaii. read more

Aloha Mr. Pete's is Mr. Pete's with Stacks Pancakes combined. I love this location because they have so many delicious food options and they also have delicious coffee drinks too. This location is also great because it has a large interior and then a nice patio as well. They even have a drive thru! The servers are very friendly and helpful too. I'm all about Aloha Mr. Pete's! What an awesome spot! They happily served up our party of 15!! After we noticed, we beat the crowd. It's a pretty lively, with outdoor and indoor seating. The service here was cute, they were helpful in choosing out which menu items to have, and it does seem like a family-owned (i think) business, which is always something to look forward to supporting. Unfortunately, I agree with a lot of the recent comments that the food is simply too greasy and lacks flavor. I think that the interior and service can outweigh that for some folks, but as a first-timer I'm not sure if I want my brunch soaked in grease that early in the morning. I think the restaurant could improve on the quality of ingredients in that manner. On other notes, the hawaiian latte was a good size and tasted good as well. The cashier made a minor mistake in not hearing us request for fried rice instead of the white rice for the loco moco, so we ended up ordering fried rice to go before we left, but even with the white rice it was sooo good. We got loco moco with Portuguese sausage, spam musubi, white lava pancakes, and a side of bacon, and all tasted amazing. The gravy on the loco moco was perfect, it tasted so good! Came with my family and everyone of us had something wrong or missing. - orders eggs benedict they tell us they're out of hollandaise sauce okays that's fine things happens - orders banana nutella and cream crepes, they bring the crepes out without any whip cream, she goes to tell them and they say they're out of it, it costs extra, we then have to tell them unless it comes with it which her crepes do. - I go to order mac nut pancakes, they're out of macadamia, so I order banana pancakes and specifically ask if they have coconut syrup still they tell me "yes". My order comes out missing the coconut syrup, I ask for it and they say they're out. That's literally the whole reason I got the pancakes I would've ordered something else if they would've said that ahead of time. - Then to top it all off they fully forget the omelet that my boyfriend ordered. He goes up to check on it because it's been 10 or so minutes and none of them have any recollection of it. This place was a literal joke of a restaurant. The guy at the front counter needs to be properly trained and the prep should be done if you're going to open. I have been going to Mr.Petes for probably 35-40 years. Always great food. Always a family friendly place with a very local flavor. Loved the murals, the hand made milkshakes and the large diverse menu. Mr. Petes has no undergone a remodel, and although it is bright and clean with flowers on the table and digital murals ... with the remodel they have lost the cozy comfortable family feel of a local staple. The food is still yummy , but May things are gone from the menu. The staff are friendly , efficient and kind. Mr. Pete's is just no longer MR. PETE'S. Super disappointed, we went for breakfast this morning and had a 20% off total bill coupon to use. We placed our order and attempted to redeem the coupon. The employee at the register didn't accept the coupon, even though it was specifically for that location. We showed her the coupon through the Entertainment Value book and she entered our phone number. The coupon didn't appear in their system so she didn't honor it. We receive local coupons from our 24 Hour Fitness memberships and have never experienced any issues like this. Usually, if they cannot find the coupon, they still honor it. I had the Club House Avocado Sandwich which had a generous portion. It consisted of bacon, turkey slices, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayo in a Parmesan crusted sourdough. The mayo was very subtle I hardly tasted it and the sourdough was nicely toasted and not too cheesy. Chicken was so good, but the toppings overwhelmed the delicious waffle and chicken. Wouldn't get it again. Chilaquiles were just ok and lacked flavor. Rice that came with it made It an odd dish. Maybe they should add some pico on top to make it better. Wish it was a sit and dine type place, where they ask you how the food is and refill water. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aloha Pete's Burgers that left me thoroughly impressed. The menu offered a wide range of delicious options, but the standout dishes were the loco moco, egg benedict, macadamia pancakes, onion rings, and zucchini fries. The loco moco was the highlight of our meal. The perfectly cooked chicken katsu was topped with a generous portion of gravy and a fried egg, all served over a bed of rice. The egg benedict was also excellent. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. It had tomato and avocado, which added a nice freshness to the dish. The macadamia pancakes were fluffy and moist with just the right amount of crunch from the macadamia nuts. The onion rings and zucchini fries were both great sides. both were perfectly crispy and seasoned well.
