Food is top tier glad to have a new option to pick from will be my new go to place to eat lunch

While I was driving down Milliken, I noticed this sign advertising oxtails and a new Jamaican restaurant. I said let me give it a try. I was looking for a good Jamaican restaurant for a while in Ontario so I tried a couple of the meals. The first two were à la carte ,one was jerk chicken and the other one was curry chicken and I tell U that was the best I've had in a long, long, long time. Welcome to Ontario Rude Jerk Kitchen and looking forward to having many meals there. PS. Don't let the word Rude fool you. The staff there is wonderful, pleasant and professional. We wanted something to grub on before we headed to Legends Tap for some brews. We saw Rude Jerk and decided to give them a try. Omg so happy we stopped here. The service and food are top notch! We we're greeted with a warm welcome and given a menu to look over. I love that they didn't try to rush us at all. The hubby and I decided to grab two entrée plates to share. He opted for the oxtail with rice and peas (rice and red beans) and rasta pasta. Oxtail only comes in large entrée. I opted for the small entrée of Jerk chicken with rice and peas. ( rice and red beans) and plantains. Also got a Jamaican beef patty. The oxtail are tender but not mushy cooked to perfection and taste so damn good! Jerk chicken was delicious but wanted some more heat. Like some super heat lol I even put the house hot sauce on the table but still wasn't hot enough. The plantains were mid. (Too hard and little flavor) The Jamaican beef patty was good hubby said it was a little to wet inside for him like mushy but I enjoyed it. The rasta pasta was good reminded me of a spicy alfredo. The rice and peas ( rice and red beans) were bomb. Im serious I could eat here all the time it's really good! It taste like someone's granny cooked all day long with so much love! I believe the Jerk BBQ master came out to our table to ask us how everything was. We let him know it was so good! Most definitely recommend coming here and showing them some love! This is the 2nd Rude Jerk they originally opened the 1st one in Perris CA and now this one in Ontario CA back in May 2026. We wish them so much success! I've been here twice now. I'll start by saying the food is extremely tasty. I ordered the jerk chicken entree both times with rice and peas and fried plantains. Just the right amount of spice. The customer service was excellent. Very helpful and welcoming. Now for the downside. The first time I went the restaurant was pretty full with customers and there was yelling coming from the back. We could all hear. Even over the music that was playing. 2 men were having an argument and were threatening each other. The biggest thing was hearing them yell the "F" slur at each other multiple times. This may not be a safe space for queer people. The 2nd time I went there was an older woman. I assume she's a manager. I could hear her yelling at the staff. Then proceeded to do so in front of customers. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. I wouldn't want someone speaking to my adult children like that. The food is great. I'm just hesitant about going back. I wouldn't want to support an abusive business. read more

I've been to Rude Jerk Kitchen multiple times, and every visit has been worth it. The jerk chicken is always flavorful, juicy, and seasoned just right. Paired with the rice and peas, it's one of my favorite meals on the menu. The oxtails, are tender, rich, and full of flavor. You can tell the food is made with care and stays true to authentic Jamaican cooking. One of my absolute favorite items, though, is the Sorrel Juice. It's refreshing and honestly one of the best juices I've had. I find myself craving it even when I'm not thinking about food! Overall, great food, great flavors, and consistently good experiences. If you're looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine, Rude Jerk Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. read more

I was in the Ontario Mills mall and saw a sign that said a place was selling Jamaican oxtail when I drove by. I went around two and it was busy, tables were filled so many people had their order to-go. The day I went, they sold out of the oxtail, rice and peas, and meat patties. I chose to try their small jerk chicken plate ($19.56) along with sauteed cabbages and their last order of peas and rice. They do have some Jamaican hot sauce bottles, the scotch bonnet was tasty. The jerk chicken was moist and the skin crispy, it was seasoned well and cooked well. The sauteed cabbage was good. The staff is nice and the place is clean. read more

I was craving jamaican food for sooooo long! my friend took me to this spot this weekend and I was not disappointed! I got jerk chicken, white rice, and rasta pasta - and it was amazing!!!! The banana pudding was also soooo good! I'm glad I have food leftover to eat for later or the next day! The service was great and a special thank you to the owner, Jimmy! I did a double take when I saw this restaurant while passing through the busy main road, their colorful flag screaming oxtail, I knew exactly what was opening there and was so excited to try it! It's only been a few weeks since opening and I'm so happy to see how busy it was. Because it's a new establishment, I recommend you going early or possibly ordering ahead if possible, when we went later in the day, understandably they were out of a few items including the oxtail and ackee/salt fish. We ordered the curry shrimp and the jerk chicken (L) as well as a chicken pattie and the banana pudding. There's a variety of Jamaican sodas you can try and a vanilla milk drink called Irish moss. The friendly women at the registers were so nice and made some really great recommendations. Kudos to the chefs! The jerk sauce is really delicious! It has the perfect amount of spice and with that bbq sauce over the chicken was fantastic. Chicken was moist and their steamed veggies were also pretty dang good. Curry shrimp is very subtle compared to Asian curries but it was really good. Those plantains--heavenly! I can eat three servings of those! They are soft with the perfect amount of sweetness that balances the meal really well. Generally I appreciate the portion size of the meals, they definitely didn't skimp on the shrimp and I was pleasantly surprised. Seafood is cooked fresh to order so it might take a little longer. Their banana pudding is cold, buttery, smooth and such a good way to end the meal! We definitely want to come back to try the oxtail and ackee/salt fish but we're so happy we came through to Rude Jerk Kitchen! Authentic food and wonderful service. read more

I went to the Ontario location for the first time to support it, great customer service, nice & clean inside. I usually go to the Perris location. Wings are always consistent. That food char and flavor. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment, but when I got there, they weren't ready and had no chicken ready yet. I went back to Corona for my appointment, then returned afterward. I called ahead to check if the chicken was ready, and the staff member was kind enough to hold my order. I ordered jerk chicken wings and a side of jerk chicken. However, as soon as I got in my car, I noticed a very strong lighter fluid. type smell. When I opened the food, the wings were the main issue. It's like the cooked squirted the lighter fluid on the grill as the chicken was cooking & gave it a lighter fluid bath. Gave me an instant headache. Not edible at all! When I got home and tried to eat them, I couldn't. The taste was overpowering and reminded me of lighter fluid, and I ended up unable to eat the food at all. I reached out to the owner to explain my experience. I mentioned that I normally support the Perris location and was disappointed with the Ontario location's quality. Silly of me to think he would think of a better solution on his own. Instead of receiving an apology or any offer to correct the issue, I was told they are new and still being trained. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience or loss of my money. When I asked if I could bring the food back for a replacement or better quality, he said "take them back to Ontario, I'll be there" that was a hard pass. I don't even live near Ontario so why?? He didn't care. Overall, I left feeling disappointed in both the food quality and the customer service experience. I was genuinely trying to support the business, but this experience made that difficult. This was my first time enjoying an authentic beef patty in the States. In the past, whenever I visited Caribbean restaurants, the patties were either unavailable or appeared to be pre-packaged and reheated. Here, the beef patties were fresh, flaky, and served straight from the oven. The customer service was exceptional, and the restaurant was spotless and well-maintained. Saw this place on social media and I had to give it a try. So glad we finally have food like this by me. Walked in, everything looked clean, staff were nice and attentive. The music playlist they had going on definitely fit the vibe. I decided to try the oxtail plate and jerk chicken plate. I also saw they had patties but I didn't want to get too much for my first time coming here. Our food was ready within 10 minutes probably less. Line wasn't that long ahead of us. When I say both plates were soooo good and full of flavor. The oxtail plate was tender falling off the bone I highly suggest you try the rasta pasta for a side, A LOT of places can't get the taste or texture right... this place got it RIGHT!!!! Rice and peas were even good with the plantain. Portion sizes were huge, had leftovers for the next day. I have no complaints about this spot. Definitely have to come back. read more

I tried this location for the very first time of any of their locations. The flavor of everything I got was really flavorful: Oxtails, rice with peas, & rasta pasta. It's a steep price at $32, but I don't know if oxtail dishes are normally that price, but I know in these tough times, they want to make a profit too. Rude Jerk Kitchen's brown stew chicken was delicious! The rice and peas was bomb and the plantains were good as well. I thought the food would take like 10 minutes, it definitely took like 30 minutes. So don't go here if you are in a rush. They have sit down area with 4-5 tables. As for the service, they greeted me, and were friendly. Not overly friendly like chick fil a or anything lol so don't expect that. I'm very very very happy this new location is open. I've been getting their food from their Perris location. Now they have one in Ontario, this will become my regular go to spot. The food is amazing and it starts with the owner and his staff. They have great customer appreciation and treat us as such. The new location has more dining space. Now you can grab a bite to go or sit and have some delicious ox tails, beef patties or jerk wings (my personal favorite). The Brown Stew Chicken is very good too. I like the rice and peas too. I could go on and on but I'll save that until I try some other dishes. I'm sure they won't disappoint!! S/O to the Latina who works up front from the Perris location. Service, cleanliness and decor was great. I tried this place based on a TikTok from a gentleman in his grandmother trying it on opening day. I'm assuming on opening day they put their best foot forward, however, that foot was gone when I got there. The service was excellent. My biggest problem was the quality of the food. Mainly the chicken. I found it to be very dry. I ordered the wings and I can guarantee these wings have been sitting down all day and then serve to me around 5 PM. They were not freshly grilled or cooked. I think also the same for the jerk chicken side that I ordered. The goat was very tender and seized inappropriately and the rice was also decent. However, I was extremely disappointed, having a grill available that my chicken would not be grilled to order or at least make sure it was grilled a few minutes before I would even accept 30 minutes to an hour before. But this clearly was chicken that was sitting out and was rubbery and tough. Will not be trying this place again. Again, this mainly applies to their grilled dishes. I did also order the stew chicken, which was decent. If they did not have anything fresh available, they should've said that. It's better to get half a star off for running out of items vs serving up old dry food. Hope this is helpful. read more

I drove all the way here from my house just for me to get there and they don't have rice and peas. They offered me white rice which is nasty and I'm so irritated. They know its the weekend they know they will be busy and should be prepared for that. I walked out with no food. It was kind of packed but no one helped me for about 5 minutes while I stood at the register. I wanted to love this place and support but I'm not coming back here. Tried it after seeing it on IG and being excited to have Jamaican food locally. Rice and peas did not come with my meals of jerk chicken so to pay almost $50 for 2 jerk chicken plates with no rice feels criminal. Chicken was juicy but just ok. No smoky flavor to the jerk chicken so it felt very basic. Plantains were dry and the steamed veggies could've used a bit more salt. Definitely could've made this at home and better. I really wanted to love this place but to bring home a plate to my Haitian husband with no rice when I was told rice was included (or at least that's how I understood the cashier explanation to me) felt like it wasn't worth the price. Edited to respond: so if rice is included, that means I got no rice with either meal. I wish I would've taken a picture but there was steamed veggies and plantain only and my chicken was in a separate container. I also reiterated rice and peas to the cashier. The service was superb and all the staff was welcoming and friendly. We were told before we ordered what was unavailable so that made it easier to make our selections. The white lady working there today, who his her name under "P" is very racist. Try making an order thru phone by talking with an accent and she'll put you on hold for 7 minutes. Then I had my black friend who called to place his order, and she hold peoples order and took his without a second wait. She claimed she is overwhelmed and wish she wohld get a $10 tip. The food is not even fully cooked. It's all pink and bloody that my dog would die if he tries to eat it. Go to the one in Pomona, ot's a hundred times better, plust it has it's own Jamaican products that they sell. read more

Every time I come here, no matter the time, they never have anything. They catered my graduation party and I really enjoyed the food but it's a hassle ordering from them. It takes 20 minutes for rice and peas, 20 minutes for white rice, etc. They chose a great location but they were not prepared for the amount of business that comes with it. I always have to "try again another day" in hopes that they are in stock. I recommend so many people here from my party and they all say the same thing, some people even traveled 45 minutes again just to eat here because the food was good at my graduation just to be turned away because they consistently run out. If I could give a zero. I would... went there today for OPENING DAY at 1:30pm. I received plantains that weren't fully cooked. Oxtail that was fatty and drenched in ketchup and browning. Jerk Chicken that was unseasoned. The meat tasted raw and sour as if it went bad and was still cooked to serve. Few hours after eating I am now having lower abdominal pain. I will never come here again. Waste of $60. read more
