I've worked at a pet store before, so I know how hectic things can get, especially with grooming. That's exactly why I try to be patient and respectful with employees. When I arrived, the employee at the front desk was occupied with another task, so I waited quietly until she was available. Instead of greeting me or acknowledging my wait, she immediately said, in a flat and irritated tone, "Give me the vaccination/vet information." Dreading a second interaction later, I returned to pick up my puppy and that's wasn't any better. While putting his collar back on, my puppy wouldn't sit still, which is understandable for a young dog. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the employee visibly showed her frustration by exchanging looks with a coworker and gave another dead-eyed glare not at all shy to show me her displeasure. I wasn't given any feedback about how he behaved during his groom, whether everything went well, or if there was anything I should know. My puppy was simply handed back to me, and that was the end of the interaction. I don't expect over-the-top friendliness, but I do expect basic courtesy and professionalism. A simple greeting, clear communication, and a respectful attitude goes a long way. That was nonexistent throughout my visit. There was no greeting, no courtesy, and no attempt to provide even basic customer service. Her tone was curt, her demeanor was openly irritated, and her body language made it obvious she had little interest in treating customers respectfully. Working in a stressful environment doesn't excuse treating people with contempt. She lacked the professionalism and courtesy I'd expect in a customer-facing role. While the grooming itself was fine, the customer service made the experience one I certainly won't be returning for. 0/5 rating.

Their pet food selection is also great with high quality brands. I also love the toy and enrichment options they have for dogs. They even have a small selection of cute leashes and collars. The staff is always very friendly and kind, and the store is always very clean! They have stuff for small animals and birds as well, which is not something you see at every small pet store. As a local dog trainer and pet caretaker, I love supporting other small businesses and love to always be treated in a friendly and welcoming manner. This time was very different. We were greeted by "do you have an appointment"; no hello, good morning, nothing. I had a large cage in my hand. When I explained that I had arranged with one of their staff to donate, they didn't seem to know what to do. One manager was apparently there, but he was on the phone and didn't have time for us. They finally had us put everything on the floor. After a moment of awkward silence we just left. I drove an hour to donate many supplies, but left feeling like they thought it was an intrusion. Not a very welcoming place.

All the volunteer workers were so nice and helpful. They educated us on the different breeds and how to care for them. The birds here are cared for remarkably well, including clean cages, daily fresh salads and monthly vet checkups. You can't just walk in here and walk out with a bird. They vet people extensively, because these animals are a lot of work and some live to age 80! Be patient with their process. It makes sense.
