They did exactly what I wanted for for the design and I chose the cookies and cream flavor and it was super moist and flavorful and not too sugary tasting. I was trying the Tres Leches cake and waiting to taste something special and delicious, hoping with each bite I'd get that famous aftertaste this cake should have. I have to admit I was disappointed. It was ok, but not truly good, even the texture and flavor of the milky soupiness was off. I wasn't expecting to see the other great reviews, so maybe it's me. But I wouldn't purchase from Rum Cakes again. It feels kinda like Sprinkles, pretty to look at but not really that good. read more

I got a small vanilla rum cake here recently. I never had a rum cake before, but I heard good things about it and thought this would be a good time to try it. Luckily, they had whole cakes available for pick up which I was able to personalize with a greeting on the cake. We served the cake at home and it was delicious. The cake was moist, not too sweet, and had a perfect hint of rum in the cake. I even liked the icing, which is something I usually scrape off! The four of us finished the cake the next day; it was that good. The bakery offers more desserts, including tres leches, whoopie pies, and amaretto cake, which all look so good. When I went to pick up my cake it was not ready no one had even started on it. they said the lady who took my order didn't put the paper in the right spot, so no one knew about the order. They quickly put one together and it was not worth the money I paid for it. I was really upset because it was for our one-year wedding anniversary, and I wanted it special. This place just opened a week or so ago, and they have a wide variety of cakes and desserts! You can order the cakes whole or by the slice, which I thought was a nice option. I got the red velvet whoopie pie, and their strawberry vanilla and amaretto cupcakes. I have a sweet tooth as it is, and everything was great! Just a touch too sweet for my liking but not so sweet that I couldn't finish them over time. The owner was very kind and during times like these it's hard to keep a small business running. The frosting is amazing, but the cake itself is of not good quality. It literally tastes as if the cake was dunked in a liquid, such as olive oil. Very disappointed in the texture and flavor of the cake itself. Honestly, without the frosting the cupcake would not be edible. read more

My new favorite dessert place! The choconutella chip cookie is seriously the best cookie I've ever tried in my life. I also tried a slice of a cake but I don't remember the name- it had the word Boston in it. It was like a white rum cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate icing. I wish I remembered the name but the cake was so light and soft, perfect amount of moisture, perfect amount of rum, and all the flavors complimented each other. Best cake I ever had. My fiancé and I both said we want it as our wedding cake! (We weren't even looking). On top of that, their customer service is so great at each location. Absolutely recommend this place. read more

This place is the real deal! Very good cakes available by the slice (a decent size, too!) or the whole cake. Couple of my favorites are the carrot cake, chocolate rum cake, and the alfajores cookies.
