Fabulous food, service and location. The restaurant is larger than I thought and has a full bar. The sandwiches were great. Loved the moors (mixed rice and beans). Super flavorful and fresh. I am truly understanding why this place was busy. The midnight sandwich was the best I've had - and it is my go to when I see it on the menu. I appreciated the server bringing me the additional house made sauce. It was medium and I think the hot would have been fine. The taste of the medium spice was perfect as a dip for the sandwich. If you are looking for a good Cuban sandwich this is the place. They are also a great choice for shellfish allergies. Things are easily kept separate and very little crossing of ingredients. Their salads looked really good and sangria was flying out of the bar right and left. If I weren't working I would have grabbed a glass. We'll worth it. This is a place I may need to come to a few times to try several sandwiches. read more

During the pandemic, we have really been missing our local Cuban place at home, Sophie's. Otherwise, quite frankly, we tend to avoid Cuban places just since many of them are meat-heavy and we usually don't enjoy that. Until I went to Rumba and practically wrestled the last piece of lechon asado out of my partner's hands. I'll summarize - THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT RUMBA: 1) THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE: When we sat down, BOTH of the tables next to us were independently talking about how this is the best Cuban food they've ever had. I agree. We've been several times now and we've liked absolutely everything we've ordered. 2) THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL - When you're here, you're family. Staff is SO nice and always remembers us, even though we haven't been 'long time regulars'. Service is consistent. 3) REASONABLE PRICES - Yes, you might get a little sticker shock when you look at some of the items (is market price for a Cuban sandwich $13 these days?) But everything is totally worth it and that good. One final plug for this place - as I said, my partner and I aren't huge meat eaters. Recently, we brought two other family members who are even LESS into meat. They both ordered the recommended meat dishes and loved them, too. If that isn't proof of how good this place is, not sure what is. read more

We are visiting from California and arrived today 30 minutes prior to closing time. The staff was so friendly right from the start and immediately greeted and seated us. My son and daughter are 5 and 7 years old, the waitress gave her recommendations for kid-friendly meals and they both LOVED it! The waitress even separated the pork plate that we ordered so they each had their own plates without even being asked. WOW, that was so greatly appreciated! We had plantains and fried yuca as appetizer/sides and both were delicious. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was so flavorful. The meat was tender and the bread was crispy! I loved it and it was huge! My husband ordered the steak sandwich and said it was flavorful especially with the red hot sauce. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and being so kind to our family! We're so glad we stopped by! This restaurant is by far my new favorite Cuban food restaurant. Had the lechone (pork) with black beans and rice. Wonderful meal. Also had the sweet plantains. Equally delicious. Another dish was the picadillo (ground beef) dish. Also quite tasty and authentic. The place is a bit small and cannot accommodate more than maybe 20 people but, that shouldn't stop one from going there. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Oh my!! What amazing meal. We both went out of comfort zone and ordered the recommendation of our Server Tina. From the pork, black rice, yellow rice and black beans , the hot sauce was perfect! I've been to Naples twice and both times we've stopped at Rumba Cuban Cafe. Florida has taught me that some of the best food is found in strip malls. This restaurant has about ten tables outside with more seating inside. When we showed up this time there was no outside seating, however a quick wait time of five minutes and we would've been seated. We chose an inside table because the food smelt too good to wait. All of the wait staff is incredible, staff will help you regardless of if they are your primary waiter/waitress. Rosi has helped us both times and she has the best energy. They have the best Cuban's around, but the hospitality is also what keeps us coming back. Start your meal with a Mojito, and end your meal with an espresso..you deserve it! read more

I've stopped reviewing restaurants because I do not want to disappoint anyone because I was raised to be polite . . . . Nor am I paid to critique but I'm back to say Rumba is AMAZING!!!!! There are not enough adjectives or sounds I can properly type that would explain how wonderful their food is . . . You do not care they are in a strip mall. CEO Jorge tries to make you forget that fact with his white linen tablecloths or stopping by to check in; honestly he/his team could have served us the same food on a picnic table in paper plates and we would have been blind to the surroundings, the food is THAT GOOD. When asked how to replicate his Cuban because I've been trying since 2006, his passion for the product is clear. If you are going to spend money in Naples (which you will) give it to someone who loves what they do and shares that love with their customers. Enjoy! read more

We wanted a Cuban while in Florida and this place was great! We probably could have split one sandwich for us two adults, especially if you add the beans, but we were super hungry after a morning at the beach. The hours are short, but there are so many places in this city that don't serve dinner. Service was very good, we sat outside as we were still wearing beach clothes. Our waters were consistently refilled and our meals were served quickly. The cafe is in a smaller strip mall, with lots of parking. I will be recommending this place to friends In the area. read more

Stopped here for lunch after a tour of the Revs Institute. It was pretty packed at lunch time but they got us seated outside right away. The staff are all so friendly and happy to make recommendations. We split a full Cuban sandwich and added beans and rice plus sweet plantains. Everything was so mouthwatering delicious. The Cuban was crispy and buttery on the outside with juicy ham and pork inside and lots of gooey Swiss cheese. Beans and rice made it feel like a nice filling meal. I loved the herbs in the rice and it was a good portion even split between 2 people. The plantains were so good but there were just 6 pieces for about $6 so I tried to savor every bite. read more

Rumba was a pleasant surprise. Me and my family were on our way to the airport and wanted something different for lunch so we looked up Cuban restaurants and chose Rumba. It was a rainy day yet the plaza Rumba is located in was packed and so was the restaurant but had one table for us, thankfully. We were greeted and seated by a very polite hostess who ended up being our server, i mean just the sweetest lady. She was so helpful and engaging, especially towards the children who have never had Cuban food and were very skeptical. I ordered the Palomilla Chicken and my wife got the Palomilla Steak. The children got a chicken bowl to split. We also ordered a side of plantains and yuka fries. My chicken was seasoned so well and cooked perfectly mixed in with the rice and beans and i was in food heaven. The steak was awesome as well as i essentially begged my wife for a piece. The children loved their food especially the yuka fries and plantains as we took another order for the flight back home. We topped dinner off with some Cuban coffee which was so smooth and soothing. Perfect way to end the meal. Quiet and quaint location that I will be visiting again when I'm in the area. Besides the food being out of this world the customer service was exceptional. They didn't do anything special they were just good people. read more

My husband and I visit Naples Florida every winter. The first place we go to eat when we arrive is the Rumba Cuban Cafe. Their specialty is a grilled pulled pork and cheese Cuban sandwich. My husband says it is the best he's ever had! They are open from 11am until 3 pm! The waitresses are so friendly. We're not experts on Cuban cuisine but I can tell you everything we ate or drank was delicious! I started off with a Mojito. Tall, cool and refreshing! Lunch was half of a Cuban sandwich which was more than sufficient. I added the sides of black beans and yellow rice and loved it. I have no idea why anyone would go to the hoity-toity restaurants on 5th Ave when they could eat at Rumba. The servers are amazing and the food is delicious. The mojito was strong and the wine was filled to the top. What more could you ask for :) The tostones compestre, the Cuban sandwich and the white rice and beans were superb. The compestre is a ton of food, plenty for a meal. My wife tried tres leches cake for the first time and loved it. We highly recommend everything. read more

I was feeling carry out for lunch with guests in town. I had to do Rumba. We arrived to an amazing greeting! Or course ordered Cuban's (best I've had in FL...or possibly anywhere) and added a few sides...Fried Yuca and Tostones. We ordered mojitos while we waited....also amazing! The poblano pasta and the rice seriously have my heart. The seating was a little close - but I would never dock point for that. They have a decently small space and are utilizing it incredibly well. And I was just in awe at how clean everything was. The attention to detail from the staff and owners goes a long way and my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. My husband and I had lunch at Rumba today. I have to say we were so happy we found the restaurant. We got lost getting there from our hotel, I called and got directed by Jorge. He stayed on the phone tlll we got there.( Thank you , Jorge) We started with pulled pork dish with plantain chips. Wow, the pork was so good, so flavorful. My husband said he hated plantains... well I guess he never has ones that were this good. I had the half Cuban sandwich with rice and beans. I liked it that the rice was separate from the beans. It was good that I could add as much rice as I would like. The rice was so good I enjoyed eating it by itself.John, my husband ordered the wings which he loved.They were so crispy and the sauces were amazing! The sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. The cuban beer went with it wonderfully. It was nice that it was served in a tall chilled glass. Jorge is fun and seems to love what he is doing working with his Dad. My family vacations in Naples every year. We always try to find a good cuban restaurant as soon as we get there because we live in the Midwest. Typically, after the meal we critique the food as to what was excellent and what was disappointing. Rarely does the food live up to my cuban grandmother's cooking but Rumba's food did. Even the kids loved it. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Our favorites were the Palomilla Steak and the Roasted Pork, delicious! We ended up going 3 times during our vacation. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I hope it is still around when we come back next year. read more

This has become our go to spot for Cuban food in town. The service is always friendly and we have always gotten a great meal and gotten it quickly. The slow roasted pork is an absolute winner. Ask for extra hot sauce on the side. The Cuban sandwich is my favorite in Naples and one I find myself craving quite often. If you want Cuban food, this is the place to go! read more

We normally order take out from Rumba for a pretty long time now. I would say if you've never been there well basically almost everything is good. I've tried their Palomilla steak, Pollo a la Cubana, Flounder, Cuban sandwich and Tostones all very delicious and authentic at an incredibly reasonable price.
