We were "escorted" to the outtermost random table and practically ignored with no service after. Basically didn't receive any service until I had walked up to explain to the bartender that we had been seated at the table. Overall very judgmental workers with poor poor service. Our second time staying at the Sheraton in Waikiki and we finally went to Rumfire last night as theyre pretty pricey. We ordered the dynamite chicken karaage and the crispy chicken tenders.. Absolutely terrible. The chicken tenders looked like they came out of a supermarket freezer and warmed up. I have pictures, I wish I could post them. The chicken karaage is just more clumped up store bought frozen/reheated chicken with sauce dripped over them. Around $30 for each dish. We will never go back here. read more

We were staying at the Sheraton Waikiki so this was the only restaurant/bar opened at the hotel during our stay. It was very convenient since they had breakfast, early happy hour and drinks. The breakfast menu was pretty limited but it was good and did the their job to fuel us up to start our day. One perks as Bonvoy member it was free since their lounge was closed and this was the alternative. Had the chicken wings a few times for happy hour during our stay since they were so damn good. Located with a view of the beach whether you are sitting inside or outside. They have live music nightly although I wished it ended later but Covid restrictions the city pretty much shuts down by 10pm. read more

This is a nice and hip bar inside the Waikiki Sheraton. Drinks are pretty standard, nothing really wowed our party, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The main dining area is wide open, and there are plenty of outdoor seatings. The ocean front view is breathtaking and they have nightly live music. If you're in the area and are looking for a good place to grab drinks and appetizers with your friends and family , I would recommend Rumfire. There are probably more happening bars in the Waikiki strip, but the views from this place , combined with the convenience of it being inside our hotel made it a good option. Drinks have always been great here. Stopped by before for drinks. Today, had the fish tacos. Super good, generous portions with tender fish balanced with the toppings and salsa. The winner was of course the maitai. Nicely balanced. AND happy hour started when i came at 2:30, even better. Each was $10, instead of the usual $15. Also had the sand and sea. Will need to try the other tropical delights. Both drinks were beautifully layered. Menu is online so people can just select from their smart phones. Okay first off, it says it's open till 11pm but when we got there it was 10:15 ish and my bestie and I were told that their last call for food was earlier ... which was our fault for not checking so we felt extremely bad but they still let us in. My first drink was the RumFire mai tai ($9) which was pretty good. My second drink was the killah mccoy ($8) which was really sweet at first but I got a little used to it. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet drinks so this one wasn't really for me but if you like sweet drinks or coconut try this one. This is a lounge type place with some seats and tables, a large bar area, and some semi-private seating areas in the back. Service was great during our visit. Our server took our orders and checked on us consistently throughout our 2 hour time there. There is some outside seating with pretty good views if you get there early enough to snag a good spot. It was self seating and I got there just before sunset. Unfortunately, my view was blocked by some bushes and decor, but that was no biggie. Whenever I wanted a better view, I got up and walked toward the railing near my table. Now, the food. I hate to ever say I feel like I wasted money anywhere, but I definitely felt like that here. I ordered a drink and some wings and ended up spending about $40. That may not be a lot to some, but I've eaten at far better places and have had much more food for that price. There was nothing special about the wings for them to be as pricey as they are. The drink, lava flow, was also not my cup of tea. It sounded good before I ordered it, but then it was just not that great when I got it. Because I like to give things another try to see if the first time was a fluke, if I'm ever in Oahu again, I'll probably only come here to order a different drink. I had higher expectations for RumFire. Initially we came here for the convenience of being located in the Sheraton. Not bad, but nothing special. I knew the food would be pricy with it being in the hotel on the beach, but I at least expected something more than generic food. You can see the beach from the dining room. The right side of the restaurant has a good view of the sunset. There is cabana seating outside that faces the ocean, but you have to pay to rent one. This place is located in the back of the Sheraton and is right off of the water. On Friday and Saturday nights they crank it up a bit and turn into a dance club at 9PM. They stop serving food at 10PM. At 9 they take away all the chairs and tables around the bar/restaurant. They also give out wrist bands to the people already inside so that they don't have to pay the $10 cover charge. Before the DJ took over, the had live music. The lady that was singing sounded great. Her rendition of "If I Don't Have You" was off the charts They have excellent service, exquisite signature cocktails and picturesque food. You can sit inside or you can sit outside with one of the best views of the ocean listening to the waves crash. I ordered the chicken caesar salad and it was delicious. I got the Tiki Torch to drink. It is a typical tropical tourist drink, so in other words, I loved it. The DJ started turning it up around 10ish and the dance floor was packed all night. Dress code was casual and If you want a table then you have to get bottle service. And it ain't cheap. The location is good, the food is good, the service is good. This place is legit. Currently they only have sugary tourist geared drinks on the menu, not the usual or pre-COVID choice of at least four types of mai tais and other original drinks like the jalapeño tequila and mango purée martini drink. What a great little after-hour hang out with live music and great cocktail lineups. This establishment gets relatively busy after 7pm so make sure you either get reservations ahead of time or get there early so that you can get on this list for a table out by all the music and activities. If you're looking for a quieter feel for a conversation and or not too interested in the music or the rowdy tourists, than you can ask the hostess to seat you at the side entrance, which was relatively quiet and great for conversations. Between 6-8 they also have live music. I cant speak for every night but on Mondays they have a young fellow named Desmond that is extremely talented. I mean this dude can SANG! The live music was the best part tbh. Their bartenders are super friendly (especially Bobby) and make sure that youre happy with the service.
