I've never ordered outside of my all time favorite, boneless chicken kabob. Make sure you mix the tomato and onions with the rice to get the full foodie experience! Things have slightly changed since the last time I've been there....

[[HIGHLIGHT]]clean and tidy inside, and appreciate the linens and marble tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] they start with lavash bread service with onions, butter, and sumac. we ordered a soup, salad with lamb koobideh, and i got the chicken and beef koobideh. it was plenty for 3 people and i just happened to be extra hungry otherwise we would have had leftovers.

We tried the chicken koobideh, the beef koobideh, the barg, the lamb shank the must musir and the dolmeh. The dolmeh had some powdery and tasteless substance which I didn't recognize. No taste. The must musir was actually pretty...

good, the only good item. The chicken and beef koobideh were dry, chewy and pretty bland. More to cook, at least put some butter at the end of the grilling process. The barg was akin to a beef jerky, only without any taste. The lamb disk was in a watery broth not sure where they were going with this recipe. And they didn't put tadig with geymeh in our bag but let's cusp that up to an error. No, I would never go back to this place.

What can I say about this place. We were craving Iranian cuisine and randomly came across this gem. We went with low expectations as we have had very mixed experiences with a lot of Iranian restaurants... some turn out great and some leave us underwhelmed .. any how when we came we took the staff's recommendations.. we ordered their noodle soup and boi oh boi it was soo good.. warmth in a bowl. Followed by the main course .. we ordered their soltani platter, mixed plate koobedeh and salmon platter ... the barq in soltani was soft juicy and so well prepared coz normally it tends to get dry or chewy.. so we had chosen medium ... and it was amazing.. I chose their salmon platter as i was contemplating on white fish but i went as per staff recommendation.. even their mix koobedeh was delicious... it consists of one skewer of chicken and one beef.. not only is their food delicious their portions are very decent .. so much flavors .. we had no room for dessert so we skipped it .. [[HIGHLIGHT]]they have a very cosy and neat ambiance.. nothing over the top neither basic.. just perfect..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and what can I say about their staff.. superb.. this has to be our goto place for Iranian cuisine.. by far it scores in all aspects...

Delicious Persian food in the Inland Empire! We've been coming here for years and it still is a go-to spot when we get the craving. Food sometimes takes awhile to prepare (20+ mins), but everything is so fresh and tasty when it arrives at the table. Can't wait for my next visit!

I ordered barg. They stated it was "our finest cut of charbroiled filet mignon." This is by no means filet mignon. This is skirt steak or carne asada. You don't get long fibers like these in filet mignon. Don't lie to customers. Just advertise what you're serving or serve what you're advertising. I took two bites and was done.

This place is so incredible I could literally eat there everyday. I cook a lot at home and do pretty well but I couldn't do anything as close to these dishes. The hummus starter was excellent. We also had the eggplant baba ghanoush that I typically never eat. This time it looked so good because it had crispy thin sliced onion rings with roasted garlic on top. Oh my, it was the best. The show stopper, however, was the juicy chicken. That is the name of the dish. So incredibly good. This is what I could eat every single day. I want to try a salad next time. They all looked really delicious and refreshing. Super clean food. Highly recommend! Sorry, this is not the best picture.

Most rude and unaccomadating servers there. We walked in, our first time going with the family, we sat down, and they were rude and annoying. I told the family I refuse to stay here, so we all got up and left! Please fire so the idiots working there and hire more friendlier people. We came in on a Sunday night and there was only one other party of 3 here when we arrived. A few others showed up, but the place was definitely not busy. Service was attentive and prompt. The food...could have been better. I went out on a limb and decided to try their dough drink, uncarbonated. I tried one sip and swore I wouldn't take another. A few minutes later I thought it couldn't have been that bad and decided to try another sip. WHY do I go against my instincts?! It tastes like the yogurt/garlic sauce offered with many Mediterranean dishes, but with a slightly more liquid texture. But as a drink, I prefer not. We ordered an eggplant dish to start and that was pretty good. The hummus we ordered as part of our Yelp check in offer pretty much remained untouched. Store bought hummus is way better. The meats were seasoned well and tasty. The basmati rice was decent but on the dry side. read more

I've ordered take out once before from this restaurant. The Persian dishes here are fantastic. Traveling to Iran several times in the past and enjoying the flavorful Persian food now for 45 years, got to say Rumi Restaurant is spot on when it comes to delicious and well seasoned Persian food. I ordered several of their stews as well as beef and chicken koobideh with a variety of their rice selections. Great food, chicken was moist and well seasoned. Beef dishes were delicious as well. They even warmed the bread (a lot of Persian restaurants I've been to don't do this) . Rumi's employees were so nice and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable and restaurant is clean and nicely maintained. I will definitely be back. Great job Rumi!!!! read more

This review is mainly for my parents' orders. My father had ordered shrimp salad and my mother ordered the chicken wrap and I ordered the lamb kabob with rice. Father's order: They only gave 5 pieces of bright yellow shrimp with absolutely no flavor. Mothers Order: At first she ordered the chicken wrap but they told her that they didn't have any bread for it so she settled for the salad with chicken koobideh. Her salad dressing was like water with no flavor. Chicken had no flavor either. My order: It wasn't too bad. We are never going here ever again. It was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. read more

We went there today and ordered rumi's number 2 which comes with lamb chop, chicken kebab and koubideh. It was very good. Also they had ash reshteh which is hard to find and of course delicious. Icing on the cake is that our picky son ate all his food. I can give a 10 star just for that. read more

I'm not from the area but wanted to take my parents to out to enjoy a real delicious Persian meal!! Rumi's did not disappoint! Food was fresh and authentic (we would know). My mom is an amazing (Persian) cook and it's always a great testament when she takes the name down to visit again! For starters, we had the eggplant dip- they got it RIGHT! Then we each had chicken and lamb kebabs... the portions are generous, food is fresh and tasty- well seasoned! For a traditional post meal, we had hot tea with Sweets. Used to work here and honestly horrible place. And definitely not sanitary. Especially with the bread. For example if one table just left and had leftover bread that didn't have a bite taken out or any leftover food on it owners and mangers made me put it back at the bottom of the bread bag to be reused. DISGUSTING. And let's mention how horrible Mia is to her staff. Doesn't do half of the work as the servers or whatever what I was(host/server?/busser) and still takes majority of tips and leaves only $7 for us. On a busy night most I got was a 20$. Her own father/owner showed me the pos system just to close someone out to help out more. One day with Mia I tried to close someone out while she was in the back talking on the phone. She aggressively shoved me out of the way and belittled me in front of the costumers. So embarrassing and I started to cry. She didn't care and said all I do is complain and cry to either one of her parents. The owners kids who are unfortunately managers think people who's daddy's didn't give them a restaurant can't learn a computer or do a job better than them. And they also treat their parents like shit. So if you think of eating here. Don't. Waste of money on horrible people and business. read more

Came here yesterday for my birthday because I saw the wonderful reviews. The ambience, food, and the manager were all great. The one star subtracted is because our waitress did not smile even once. We understood she was the only one working so she was really busy (it took probably 20 minutes to take our order and we honestly didn't mind). I'm sure anything you order there is great, so I won't bore you with those details. Oh and yes you get a free cold appetizer with a check in. The waitress didn't even care to look at my phone haha. read more

I got the filet mignon lunch special the other day. Like another yelper said, 80% rice :C AND I LOVE RICE! But that is waaaaay too much rice for like 3-4 small pieces off meat. Price is not good for the amount of food you get. I felt like the meat wasn't seasoned well either. And I have low standards when it comes to food!! It's not difficult to please me. Also, not sure if intentional or mistake, but no hummus with lunch specials? Overall, the lunch special is not good in both the taste and the price. read more

Love this place. We come here often and also order from here too. We have brought family and friends and they all love the taste of the food. Its delicious all the time. We love the special for families, it feeds a lot and the meats are tender and juicy. Try the homemade cheesecake it is really light and scrumptious. We always order the family #1 deal for about $35. First off, customer service here is really slow so expect to wait a bit for your server to get to you with your items. Overall, the food was delicious. We started off with a hummus dip as an appetizer and it had flavor. The dish I got was a combination plate of beef and chicken and my husband got a lamb dish. Let me say, the herbs and seasoning they used in the meat was a perfect balance. Nothing was overpowering and you definitely can taste the difference in all their meat. I was overcharged when I placed a To-Go order. My total that I signed for was $55 but noticed on my banking app that I was charged $62. They added a tip after I signed for it! Granted it was my fault that I left the tip area of the receipt blank but for them to add their own tip is straight up unethical. Be cautious of your receipts when going here because they might overcharge you too. Shame on them. read more

My wife and I were craving Persian food but didn't want to drive to OC for our regular spot so we searched for one closer to my parent's house in the IE, and we're so happy we found this place! I called and ordered ahead and it went smoothly with minimal contact. The whole family was hungry so we got Rumi's package #1 and it fed our family of 5 and still had enough for another plate for a midnight snack. Honestly, it was the best beef and chicken koobideh I have had. It was super juicy and had so much flavor. The boneless grilled chicken was my kids' favorite. One thing to mention, I am usually so-so with basmati rice but their rice was perfectly cooked; even my kids liked it! I can't get enough grilled tomatoes and sumac and they provided all that. They have a pretty good outdoor sitting area with pretty strings lights. Next time I will dine there with my friends. read more

Amazing food and great customer service. Very clean and nicely kept up location in Corona. Stopped by on my way to Vegas to get some food and saw their amazing yelp reviews so I has to stop by. The food is amazing I got the Rumi #1 special and an extra chicken koobideh which is amazing !!! I will be back every time I go to Vegas now. Try them out. Ran by a very cool family as well. Oh my God. These people will rip you off with the bill. On $110 bill they add $30 tip. The order was only rice and meat and rice and chicken. 4 plates. They charge wherever I felt. Nothing else in the plate. Will never go back there and never recommend it read more

First, their food is absolutely delicious. I have frequented Rumi's many times and have never had any issues with the food. Unfortunately, today's order pickup left me with a decision to not return. When picking up my order on 07/12/21 at approximately 7:00pm, one of the workers mistakenly gave my order to another customer. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. This worker was an older gentleman, I assume in his 80s, and appeared to be of Asian descent. The owner blew up on this poor man, calling him a slew of names, including "stupid" as well as going off on him in his language. The worker slowly walked toward the back of the dining area and continued to work with his head down. This was absolutely elder abuse, and while I didn't say anything at the time for fear of making matters worse, I am appalled that this happened at all. I hope the gentleman finds a better place to work. Shame on you, Rumi's owner. read more

Would give 0 stars however Yelp does not allow me too. Inside of place reaked of sewer customer service was not good. The food tasted exactly like contaminated sewer water. Couldnt eat it and through it to the trash. Didn't bother returning to ask for my money back. Complete waste of time and money for food that tasted disgusting. read more

Very delicious food . Wow ! I had a soultani beef kabob which was juicy ,tender and the marination was tasty. If you have a crave for Persian food this is an awesome spot to stop by and feel like the shah of Iran for once in your life . I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone and there is a lot of options for vegetarians if you prefer no meat. read more

Do not order delivery from this place. I work in the service industry so I tend to be a little more lenient than others when it comes to mistakes, but this place really needs to work on their customer service. If you cannot deliver food in an efficient manner, please do not list delivery as an option. Pros: - Their food is actually good, I got the Naderi Soltani and it was delicious. Cons: - 1.5 hour delivery time when the estimated time was 45 - 60 min, no apologies from the delivery guy or the restaurant manager. - I asked for half rice and half Persian Salad, but I only got full rice. Love this place. I used to travel all the way to the OC for great Persian kabobs. But once I found this place I don't have to make that terrible drive any longer. This is a hidden jem in Norco / corona area. The staff is always great and for take out orders always very hospitable and kind. The Koobideh and chicken kabobs are so juicy and the soltani steak is my favorite. The kids ask me to cater this at least 2x's a month. read more

We made a reservation at Rumi's for a large group of 22 people, including families, expecting a pleasant dinner experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be extremely disappointing. When we arrived, our table was set up directly in front of the entrance, leaving a very narrow walkway for other customers. It was clearly not an appropriate setup for such a large party. When we politely asked if it could be adjusted, the staff's reaction made it obvious they were not happy about the request. Since we had a large order, we went to the counter to place it carefully and keep track of the quantities. When we asked for a little assistance to ensure everything was correct, the gentleman helping us responded with sarcasm rather than support. I chose to ignore it at the time to avoid unnecessary tension, especially as we were dining with families. When the food was served, there was a noticeable lack of coordination and professionalism. There was no courtesy, no politeness, and no sense of customer service. It genuinely felt like the staff had not been trained on how to properly serve or manage large groups. At the end of the meal, during payment, I calmly brought up the rude and sarcastic behavior. Instead of acknowledging the concern or offering an apology, the gentleman responded with even more sarcasm. The interaction was ill-mannered and arrogant. Out of respect for the families with us, I chose not to escalate the situation or create a confrontation and simply stepped away. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the staff's lack of patience, professionalism, and basic respect toward customers. I came to this restaurant a 2nd time because I like to be fair in judging a place. The first time I came I ordered the chicken koobideh, the egglant appetizer, and the faloodeh for desert. The chicken was dry and burnt around the edges, the rice was fine (it came with the chicken), the eggplant was good, and the faloodeh dessert was just plain awful. It was way too sweet and the texture of the hard rose water mixed with the very hard vermacelli was not a good combination at all. The service was just slow and awful. The wait staff, just walks past you and doesn't ask if you need anything. The 2nd time I came, I ordered the beef koobideh and it was not bad with the rice, the salad shirazi, yogurt and just tea. Again the food wasn't bad, but the salad was definitely pricey for the tiny portion you got. The bread in the basket was old and stale. The service was even worse. They don't even properly greet you when you walk in. It's like they are doing you a favor, to have you eat there. They honestly don't care about customer service. I asked two different waiters for chopped onions and it wasn't until the 3rd time I asked, that they brought it. I had to ask for my water to be refilled, when I had already asked for water the last time the guy walked by. My friends decided to take me out for lunch for my birthday, knowing that we always get great food and service we decided to go to Rumi, and they did not disappoint. My friends got their usual chicken shish kabob which they loved, since it was my birthday i decided to be daring and try the white fish. They gave me the option of either having it fried or charbroiled, without hesitation i told our waitress to go ahead and fry it. Lets just say that had to be some of the best fried seafood i have had. This is a great restaurant. My husband and I love the food and everyone is friendly and attentive. We love the kabobs for two. I love the salad with the olive oil, lime, and salt. I could just eat that if I didn't love their kabobs so much. The rice is so good. If you like Persian food, try Rumi's! I wasn't a big fan until I ate here and now I love going. read more

There food is AMAZING with customer service to match! LOVE YOU RUMI'S! Chicken was moist and tender, beef was flavorful (though a tad salty) and we enjoyed the variety of flavors in the rice. After we ordered, two other parties arrived, yet both groups received their food before us. The biggest issue was my mother's meal. The rest of our food arrived, but her entree took over an hour to come out. During that time, I checked with the staff multiple times and was repeatedly told that it was "on its way." Unfortunately, when it finally arrived, it was not worth the wait. The food itself was underwhelming. The shawarma was not very good, and the portions were surprisingly small for the prices being charged. We expected much better quality and value. I understand that restaurants can have off nights, and I generally try to be understanding. However, with an almost empty dining room, the long wait, serving later-arriving customers first, poor communication, and disappointing food quality, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the service and the food quality.
