I wish I lived closer! I walked in wanting to pick up some new running shoes since my Asics GT-2000's weren't doing it for my running anymore. I decided to get fitted and try out a couple pairs of different shoes for my needs and ended up going with the Brooks Ravenna 8 shoes. I was helped out by a sweet woman that I can't remember her name for the life of me. As I was getting done with my fitting, I couldn't help but look at the InknBurn Apparel. Though expensive, I do love their designs. Both ladies that worked the day I visited were very nice and answered all of my questions regarding running shoes, nutrition needs before, during, and after my run, and clothing. Great place! This was the worst experience being a distance runner for many years. So the lady who worked there with red hair and the younger girl with red hair and blue eyes were extremely rude and disrespectful. Every time the younger one would bring my shoes she would unlace the shoes push the box towards my fiancé and I very aggressively. I asked the older lady if she could fit my fiancé to which she rudely responded "I am with a customer"although she had just brought him shoes to try on. The whole vibe I got from them was as if helping me was a burden. The product is great which is why I fallowed through with my purchase. But due to a lack of any kindness or training on customer service I will not return. It wasn't until we made our $500 dollar purchase that the employee became friendly with us. When I first moved into the area and began seeking a store for running shoes and gear, I found the Running Center in Temecula. I like the personal customer service and the fact that they remember my shoe size and favorite brands whenever I come in. I also like their frequent discounts, sales, and promotions. But the thing that I appreciate the most is all that they give back to the running community. Every Thursday night they sponsor a fun run from the store. Runners of all levels of experience and ability show up for a social run. Fun runners get special discounts and offers, prizes, and opportunities for contests, and other treats. It is a very welcoming environment and I have sent many friends who have been impressed and well served whether they are just starting out or are accomplished athletes. Dropped by because my husband wanted me to try the Hoka shoes. As soon as I walked in, the ladies noticed a difference in the way I walk, stand, and that the shoes I was wearing was bad for my feet. I tried on the Hoka (loved it) but they also recommended Brooks which would be better for my over pronation of my feet. They were right! So I'm not raving about the shoes but I am raving about their amazing customer service! This is the type of service that have been lost in the big mall type stores. Could be a nice store if they had selection. Best excuse to not shop local. The clothing was sparse, and the staff sized you up when you walked in. If you are older or do not look serious, forget getting help. As a more senior runner, I prefer to shop where I am not profiled based on my more senior appearance. Recently experienced a foot injury and was looking for new shoes that wouldn't aggravate my injury further. Was having trouble finding the right shoe at the big retail chains and was frustrated by teenage sales clerks who had no idea what the heck they were talking about. I showed up here after looking for a local shop that would meet my needs. Not a huge selection but the customer service was incredible and I found the perfect shoe, with a little help from the sales lady, in no time at all. Wow! I went here with my son as he is doing cross country this year in school. "Tyler" had my son run across the store and then replayed the video in slo-mo to analize how his feet land and tailor him to the right running shoe. Long story short, he got new shoes, comfy socks and he's a teen motivated to go train. Mission Accomplished. I have been to the running center a handful of times now and each time I've had an awesome experience. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have a bad knee and was having a very hard time running just short distances. Since then I've had the pleasure of Christine and Tyler help me and provide me with great information that has proven to be correct. It has allowed me to run 2 half marathons now and I just got a new pair to train for my 3rd. Couldn't have done it without their recommendation on shoes to help ease the impact on my knee. I have referred friends and family and they all have had a positive experience. Nina down at the running center helped me so much with finding the right running shoe for me. Most times you do anything shoe related you feel bad asking to take a look at multiple pairs of shoes. Either that or the sales person makes it seem like you're asking for the world by having them grab you more than one pair to try. Not down at the running center. For one they video taped my running style to find which shoe is perfect for my feet. Instead of me just trying to take a stab in the dark on a random pair of shoes that might not even me right for my feet. Nina pulled out a lot of shoes for me to try on. The ladies working here are absolutely amazing! I went in there looking for a pair of running shoes and a pair of nursing shoes for work. Within not even 30 minutes I had found both! About a week later I decided that my nursing shoes just weren't the right fit for me, but of course I got rid of the box and the receipt (like a dummy). I went to the running center to find shoes for walking, and the occasional jog on a dirt trail. I have never been so impressed with customer service than today at the Running Center . Christine, the manager, helped me find great fitting shoes for my wide feet. She brought me about 8 different shoes to try and we started doing a process of elimination together until I felt completely comfortable with my shoes. I've always struggled with finding shoes that fit my wide feet so it was nice to have someone knowledgeable to navigate through the huge selection with me. Thank you again !! read more

In addition their return policy is really awesome too they give you 30 days on new shoes.. I feel like they could have more of a selection of running clothes such as compression shorts and tanks & visors!! Went earlier today and was very impressed on how professional they are. I was helped by a guy named Tyler and he was extremely knowledgeable. The process was very cool, he had me try on a pair and had me jog while he recorded my running technique. He played it back and analyzed my stride and made his recommendations based on that. Forgot to mention that on occasion I have ankle pain and recently injured my left knee. I feel very confident now that the shoes I purchased are going to help with that. Yes the shoes can be pricey, however if you are a runner investing in a good pair of shoes really is essential to your success. I will be sure to come back in the future. read more

This was my second time coming to the running center and I will not be back. The customer service is awful. My family and I arrived and it was busy. I understand that places get busy but we waited over 15 minutes and no even acknowledged that we were there. As a matter of fact one of the employees acted as if we were an inconvenience. My husband started looking at shoes and she was trying to get by but did not utter a word just gestures of her trying to get by. Neither one of the employees even once stated that they would be right with us. We would have liked to have purchased shoes for our three children. After purchasing shoes from area discount stores for years, I decided to try the running center. All I can say is wow!!!!! The sales staff wouldn't let me purchase a pair of shoes until they knew all about my goals and the number of days I ran per week. After explaining some of the nagging injuries I've encountered through the years, I tried a pair on and the sales person analyzed my running form and found that I was pronating outward. As soon as I walked in they asked me if I needed help, got my shoe size then went in the back to get a neutral shoe in my size. They saw how I ran then recommended a shoe for me. Don't go if it's busy. The employee wanted to make sure we were "serious" about buying shoes because they were getting busy. It took a month for me to convince my wife to try this place as she is very new to running and spartan races and we were greeted with a snobby staff member that treated us as an inconvenience. I guess I should have worn our finisher medals around our necks when we went in to be taken more seriously. Fun,friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the store if you're a beginner at running or if you're more advanced and transitioning into a different style of running. They helped me get the shoes I needed to run my best at the 2014 tough mudder. I had one of the fastest times in California, which qualified me for the world's toughest mudder. I attribute my success to my training and my gear. I didn't once lose my shoe in the mud or slip on any of the obstacles.
