Bought a groupon coupon & they had an Easter sale. Had nothing in stock. Had to order a pair of shoes & took 9 days to arrive. Definitely could have gone somwhere else in the meantime, but I had the groupon so I had to wait. When I go to pay they dont honor the Easter sale. Also service was very poor! Employee acted like we should kmow excactly what we were buying. Seemed put out havibg to help & we were the only ones in the store (I wonder why?) I am an avid runner and triathlete and realize the importance of running in the correct shoe. I have been a customer of the running center for years. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable and really go the extra mile to make sure you are fitted with the proper shoes within your own range of preferences. They also carry all those running specific products and popular nutrition that is often hard to find in other sporting goods stores. They often have "wear test" days where the companies will come out and actually let you run outside in the different model shoes to see what works for you and what doesn't. Like the previous customers mentioned, they are very supportive of the running community and not only have their own runs, but are knowledgeable about all the different groups in the area, as well as upcoming races and events. I went in today as many of the girls I run with suggested it. I spoke with Michael who was extremely friendly and helpful. He brought several pairs of shoes out for me to try and help me narrow down my selections by describing what each benefit each shoe had. He also helped save me some money by letting me know about their referral program and military discount! I will definitely be back in. Oh and the prices are comparable to online. I had heard that they might be expensive but I checked on my phone while I was waiting and didn't see the shoes I was buying any cheaper online. read more

Sitting here in front of the Running Center in Temecula, extremely disappointed! This was my first time in the store, a nice young man was helping me, when another customer walked in. I was happily browsing the wall of shoes, when suddenly the Manager (Christine) PUSHES ME! "Watch out!" she says, can't you see I'm filming?!" Some other customers were watching and laughed out loud. My face turned bright red, not out of embarrassment, but of shock and anger. I laughed it off and continued with my purchase. I calmly walked out, dropped my stuff in the car, went back in and let her have it. She apologized however, I will never shop there again. ***Still disappointed, all I got was an apology. Which I accept. But Running Center has done nothing make me feel comfortable going back to shop there. If you want good customer don't shop there. It's a get in, get out type of store. I have been a very happy customer of the Temecula Running Center since 2011. They care about runners and the running community. They take the time to fit you to the right shoe. I also love there frequent sales. As mentioned in another review they have a Thursday evening fun run which offers different mileage options and speed levels. They also have weekly specials for those that participate in there fun runs. I checked this place out as I needed new running shoes and saw the positive reviews about it in here. I've played soccer all my life and am in the military so running has been a part of me since I can remember. That said, I know nothing about actually running. When I've needed shoes, I've simply picked up a pair that was the right size and looked decent. After my current shoes had seen enough, along with some lower back pain, I decided to go to a real running store. This place did not disappoint. Nothing but running stuff, no other sport stuff. I was quickly greeted and helped by Barb. She looked like a runner and asked all sorts if questions about what kind if shoes I was looking for. I did the video analysis with her, took less than a minute to complete. Some reviewers have kinda shit down the idea of being as to analyze run movement with a quick video tape but I instantly saw my running problem once she slowed down the video. I over pronate. Barb asked how many times ac week I ran and how far. Based on my answer she selected four shoes, all in the $110 range. While it was more than I was used to paying for shoes, I buy them in base, I also realize you get what you pay for in athletic shoes, and there were shoes there upwards of $200. I tried the shoes on and Barb helped me nail it down to one pair, Mizuno Inspire 10. I didn't even know Mizuno made running shoes. Barb said they make excellent shoes, and while she was putting the other shoes away I did a quick review search. Sure enough, Mizuno got excellent reviews from various sites. Really impressed with the selection and knowledge base. Even better is that it's a local store. Would recommend to anyone looking fur running shoes. read more

Ruth is simply the BEST and was so happy when I told her how serious I have been with running now. I am planning on running my first marathon and she gave me fantastic tips since I have already ran some half marathons. In 2012, I bought three pairs of running shoes from them and although two are worn out, I still wear them for casual walks or runs. I am so happy I found this store. This is the go-to-place for athletic shoes and GREAT customer service in Temecula. I am so incredibly happy and so appreciative with my experience with a store employee named Valerie. She was amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and very understanding. I spoke with her over the phone and she took the time to listen to my every word. My first time in the store I purchased a pair of running shoes. I was very pleased with my service from the young man that helped me, but an unintentional and easy mistake to make happened at the time I purchased my shoes. I didn't even notice myself until later. So that's when I decided to call the store. I called thinking I was going to be told they could not help me because my 30 days had past. That is when I spoke to "Valerie" OMG she was GREAT! She told me she would have to discuss with the manager, and she did. Valerie called me the very next day and told me they would take care of me. I feel I received great quality customer service that I would have not received any where else. I know this store must have taken a loss over my returned shoes, but they cared more about me than a monetary loss, They exchanged my shoes for a new correct pair. It showed me that their customers come first. Not very customer satisfaction concerned business. My husband and I purchased $300 plus in walking/running shoes. We both only walk, not run since we are in our 60's. The saucony shoes my husband purchased had the plastic frame at the heel crack in both shoes after only 4 months of moderate walking use. The shoes could not be worn without the jagged plastic frame in the hill sticking deeply into his heels. He returned the shoes to show the management. The manager never came out to address him but sent a teen-age clerk to tell himtheir policy was no returns or credits after 30 days and then gave him a phone number to call Sacony and complain to them.He told them he wasn't the retailer and would have no pull with the company but they would. The young man blew him off again with the talking points of "no credit or returns unfortunately". He said but you sold me a very defective product. "Sorry, there is nothing we can do for you because of our policy but I understand how you would be upset... I would be too". Oh well...best to buy elsewhere or off amazon if they are going to sell defective products and not care much to do right by their customers that trusted them with their business. read more

I ordered a pair of Nike shoes online from them and unfortunately they were not in stock at the time. I worked extensively with Susan of the customer service department and she contacted me immediately. She helped me pick out a different pair and had them express shipped immediately. They were a gift so the expedited shipping was amazing. Of course the shoe was the wrong size, my fault not theirs, and I was talking with Susan again. She helped me with the return/exchange and I'm happy to say the new shoes are on the way! My experience with them has been amazing and I plan on coming back for all my running needs. Other stores either don't know running, or try to pressure you into buying inserts and other unnecessary stuff. Normally I go to A Snail's Pace in Orange County, but since I moved, I thought I would give this place a try and avoid driving 100 miles. I am glad I did! Staff very helpful & friendly and they videotape the way you run just like A Snail's Pace. They brought me out 5 different shoes to try on and am confident I got the right ones. They would have received 5 stars if the store was laid out a little better and the "road" that you run on was out of the way to other customers. Shoes are a competitive in price with other running shoe stores. They do need a little more apparel. I was looking for compression pants for runner's knee and they don't carry any. I have to say, the Running Center is the absolute best place if you are a runner. I like that they not only analyze your feet to see what the proper shoe is for you, they are patient and take the time to really help you pick out the right shoe. They research all the items they carry and I feel confident that what I buy there is the very best. For instance, my protein powder - love it. It is gluten free and has good ingredients. It is hard to choose products like that for me because I don't really understand all the label lingo but I trust the Running Center. I know they did the research. I have bought my shoes, running clothes, sports drinks, protein power and anything else I needed running wise since I moved here in 2009. I really like the way they get involved in the community, how they come up with all kinds of fun events and how they support so many events. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Temecula store. I am a head coach of both cross country and track & field for a local high school, as well as an avid runner myself. I walked into the Temecula store on a Friday night after a long week of work and coaching. All I wanted to do was to find a pair of shoes for an athlete on my team who could not afford to buy them herself. I was not greeted by the manager or salesperson, Tyler, who were both busy helping customers. I understood this, but acknowledging my presence with a simple "I'll be right with you" would have been nice. I sat down to wait my turn when another customer walked in and was helped before me! I still hadn't been greeted after another 5 minutes, so I went up to the register where Tyler was wrapping up his dealings. After staring at him for another two minutes, he finally rudely said "Just a minute!" When I explained that I needed something on sale because it was coming out of my own pocket, he waived to a stack of boxes and said "I only have these Nike" and did not offer to look for a size or any other alternative. I asked if he could look for a size 7, he said they didn't have it. At no point was there an offer of any other shoes or alternative. I could clearly see I was not important, so at that point, I walked out. I guess I'm taking my business to Roadrunner Sports. read more
