Newly opened bar & grill type restaurant in the CCBC resort, Runway is a great addition to this popular hotel. There wasn't any options for food here before so guests would need to eat out or have food delivered. Runway makes it much more convenient if you don't feel like going out. Runway is still in their soft opening phase with their grand opening next week, even though it hasn't been long since they opened, the staff seemed to have things under control and organized. The only real thing I could be critical about was the food coming out was a bit slow but it's understandable. We started with fried pickle chips and cheese quesadilla. The pickle chips came out quickly and was piping hot. The quesadilla took a lot longer but was good, it came with guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. I'm not sure what kind of cheese blend they used but seemed like jack, cheddar, and some boursin herbed cheese spread which made it creamy. For entrees, Mark H and I split the Luggage Bbq Burger and Cajun chicken tenders. Both were good but I think the burger was the better of the two. It's a wagyu patty and came with house made bbq sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese, and onion ring inside. The chicken tenders were tasty but pretty heavily breaded, even for a carboholic like me. The rest of the table: A seared ahi, I didn't taste it but it looked good, the two that ordered it liked it. And a house Caesar salad with crispy chicken tenders on top. My friend pretty much lives on chicken caesars and said he liked it so I'm guessing it was pretty good. We were all pretty stuffed so passed on dessert. Runway has a pretty extensive menu so there's something for everyone. In the restaurant's description it says "Dining, Drinks, & Drag". I'm sure once they have the grand opening, it'll be loads of fun.

If you are looking for a hidden gem with no hidden agenda, then Runway Restaurant at the ubiquitous CCBC Resort is for you. Family friends Richard and Eric are the owners of this "alternative lifestyle" resort which several months ago added a restaurant and bar addition. Personally I have always sort out the best hard to first spot places along the proverbial highway and this restaurant serves absolutely amazing food quality with value driven presentation and extremely cheerful service. A lot of this quality goes back to Richard's years of "the deal" and his ability to get the best at the best from the best. This reflects nicely from Chef Brittneys Kitchen and General Manager Taylor, eye on the prize. Great quality beef, burgers and salads along with full bar and wine list. Hidden along the Cove in Cathedral City and approved by the Santa Rosa Mountains!

Small quaint restaurant, food was really good, service was fun!!!

Had the BBQ burger (excellent) and came for the bfast buffet (it was just ok). Overall great atmosphere, good service and not bad on the wallet. I ordered special order due to dietary needs and it was perfect!!! Great deal on the house wine too!! Now back to CCBC for more fun!

On my way to Runway tonight Sept.30th for dinner and show with singer "Charles Herrera" I plan on returning! Highly recommend!

I have been here many times because of the live entertainment with such amazing singers! I always order dinner and cocktails and have always been happy with my orders! The service is great and I feel very comfortable and welcomed! It keeps me coming back for more.

But this time it was in the evening and happened to be drag night. We didn't know what was going on until we walked in. It was pretty lively so I recommend coming early. I think earlier they have drag race on and then starting at 9pm is when the drag show starts. You can reserve seating and a table but they also have first come seating in i believe. We got lucky as there were two seat open at the bar counter. Drinks are good and affordable. The crowd was a mix which was fun. There was plenty of dollar bills in hand. Show did start a little after 9 but it was so much fun and worth it. It was our first time and let me say, we will be telling people about it and bringing them with us. The showgirls were all amazing and excellent song choices. Costumes were quite nice and very elaborated. The hostess was a major doll and it happened to be her birthday that night. Even after performing, she still mange to come and chat with people which was nice getting to know her. The show was so fun and I highly recommend it. It's free to get in but make sure to have your cash ready for the entertainment. RSVP seats and table are also available.

I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. Places you probably wouldn't have visit but the deals are too good to pass on. We've seen this place loads of time driving by and always wanted to try it out. I made a reservation for the patio at 7:15 thinking it'll be nice for the sunset but of course it was 103 still outside...lol... We were going to see if they could move us to indoor but when we checked in, the hostess was ahead of us. She knew it was going to be too hot for patio seating which was amazing of her. When you walk in, there's the hostess desk as well as a cute little lobby waiting area. Across from that is the wine cellar and around the corner was the bar lounge area. We didn't even know it was there until after dinner. It was massive. The restaurant is broken down into different rooms. We got seating in the main room where it's more of the MCM vibe with the high back booth seating. There's also a little private room to the side next to the restroom. The layout was quite beautiful and it was well decorated. There was also another room a step above us and and also the patio. The setting of the table was beautiful, elegantly dressed with an over side white table cloth. Only downfall, the booth was a bit too straight up. If you don't have good posture, you do now...lol... David was our waiter who was excellent and amazing. Very friendly and polite. Also so welcoming. As it was restaurant week, menus came out both with their daily as well as the deals. Classic menu does look quite nice but can't beat a good three course meal. That was offered for 49.00 three course, starters mains and dessert. Started off with a glass of wine before hand which a few was had throughout dinner. Service was excellent throughout the whole experience. One of the servers came over to place our napkins on our laps before. Also a warm roll with butter was brought out to start. Dinner, the options were great on the deals. We both started off with the Scottish salmon sashimi. Delicious thin slice served with seaweed salad, blood orange, scallions, Thai chili in a blood orange glaze. That was excellent and very tasty. Entrees, an order of the flank steak cooked nicely. Citrus marinated flank steak with shoestring fries, grilled baby broccolini and a creamy peppercorn sauce. This dish was flavorful and went well together. Steak was cooked well and the sauce was great. Also the beef stroganoff. Thin sliced seasoned sautéed beef served with mushrooms, onions, thyme, sweet cream and sour cream served over herbed butter noodles. I haven't had stroganoff in such a long time and this dish was very tasty and delicious. Sauce was great which sometimes I think it can be too salty but this place was great. Lastly the dessert, one was the vanilla creme brûlée. Classic Madagascar vanilla bourbon and berries. The other, strawberry Napoleon. Layered of flaky puff pastries, velvet pastry cream and fresh strawberries. Both looked amazing and very tasty. I didn't have any as I was off the sweets but let me say it went down well. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. The whole vibe was your classic Palm Springs dining. Service was amazing from the start with hostess to the end of dinner. The staffs were all amazing and very friendly. David was a major doll throughout our meal. He even mentioned happy hour which is next. Everything was excellent and we would definitely be back.

The nachos were a standout -- loaded with guac, cheese sauce, beans, and melted cheese. And the portion? Massive. Easily enough to feed four hungry people. We had 2 and made a decent dent. Drinks were also solid -- pricey, as expected at a ritz, but well-made. The piña colada with a rum totally hit the spot on a 100-degree day. Today Alvaro even went to the extent of ordering ingredients from one kitchen to another to make us a specialty cocktail. AME, has been accommodating and making sure that our kids and the entire family has everything they need even when we don't know we need it EDSON another superstar in the team has just been amazing. The fact that I am taking time out of my vacation to write this review should speak volumes as to how happy we are to be here right now and our trip is not over yet. We have another few days to enjoy and we will. We want to thank the entire Ritz Carlton team for their hospitality. But the majority of the heavy lifting is being done by the staff of the Air Pool. So THANK YOU!
