The Russian River Brewing company is a great place to visit if you are in Sonoma County. The original brewery is in downtown Santa Rosa, I recommend going to this location only because it is the OG spot, but if you don't want to wait in long lines and stand in a busy bar while you drink, check out their new location in Windsor. The new location is HUGE and epic. It is great for groups, so bring all your friends. There are two great brewery tour options: Option One: they have a self guided tour (FREE), and you still get to see a lot of the production facility. Option Two: they have private group tours where you drink beer along the way, get to see the whole facility, and the tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable I went for option two, and I was not disappointed...we were also a little buzzed by the end of it. But they knew that so you end up at the gift shop!! While you shop you can smell the amazing food and just might sit down for some grub, and more beer! The food is very good and the menu is a little bigger than the Santa Rosa location. I have been to both locations and will most likely only go to the bigger one in Windsor from now on and so should you! read more

Holy cow this place is massive in comparison to the original Santa Rosa location. I love it. Easy to park, guided tours, awesome beer. Great gift shop too. Could spend a whole half a day here. Great atmosphere and food (I don't drink, but I've heard the beer was really good as well). The open area outside was gorgeous with lots of space and the staff were all super friendly. It took some time to get a table, which involved hanging out outside for a bit, but luckily there was a fun log to climb! My recommendations: have a place to get water without having to ask the staff and maybe have some more shady spots for a hot (or rainy) day. This location is beautiful, new and bright, a major difference from their original location in Santa Rosa. The restaurant is huge, but even though we came in on a Wednesday night we still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Best to make a reservation if you can! We all know the beer here is great and you certainly cannot beat the price. The food here was great too. I had a rueben sandwich that was super flavorful and a really nice side salad. They also have a wonderful outdoor area that I imagine will be packed in the summer. They have a huge dog friendly lawn as well. This would be a great spot to catch some sun with you pup, cold beer in hand. Overall this is a great new spot and I can't wait to explore it further! read more

I don't drink beer so I cannot speak to that side of their business (which is their main gig). I have been to both locations and in terms of food, this one was not nearly as good as the one in downtown Santa Rosa. The atmosphere is more upscale. It has a really beautiful property and has a lot to offer, but the food itself is not worth the price. I wouldn't go back to this location, but that may be different if I had an appreciation for beer. read more

Seating is tight around 12-1230, with the outside not open at this moment. But this super long table in the center provides this super quick service that is unbeatable. If you sit on one side of this table you see the kitchen and all the food being cranked out. The other side gives you a view of the draft beer board. Essentially the handwriting will encourage you to keep looking back and the beers on tap (props to whomever did that!). After a morning of wine the switch to beer is hard, but they have a ton of "non-beer" or these little sample sizes to just get a taste. It's noisy at the 12 o clock hour but the deliciousness of the burger had me zoning out anyway. The beer takes me back to the other location, so this one definitely doesn't disappoint. We've been fans of RRBC for many years, and were excited to try the new location in Windsor. It's definitely a different vibe from the original location, but when you resist the urge to hate change lol you can appreciate it for what it is - bigger and more high tech than the hip dive-y feel of the Santa Rosa location. We split the pastrami sandwich which was bomb.com and had some great sours. We met the manager Andy who is doing a top notch job - he really took care of us and it is clear he's a seasoned professional. Our server was great too, I wish we had gotten her name (blonde wavy hair above shoulders with cool earrings). We also took the self-guided tour (there is a guided tour option too but our timing was off) and it was really cool to see how their brewing process works. Would recommend and will return. read more

Food is fabulous. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. Beer is great. The damnation was my favorite. SUPER kid friendly. The gorgeous outdoor patio is perfect for soaking up the sun while having a cold one and watching the kids/dogs run around. We went on a Sunday and it was slammed and there was a bit of a wait but we were able to grab a beer while we waited and let the kiddo burn some energy outside before we sat down to eat. This cool new place is making Windsor a happening town. It was a beautiful spring day on Saturday. People showed up at RRBC with dogs and kids. They played happily on the large grassy area. It looked like everyone was having fun. We visited the tasting room for some yummy dark porter and a taste of Bliney the Elder. The gift shop sells t-shirts and baby onesies featuring your favorite brewery. Inside the restaurant is another bar. There's leather chairs around a fireplace if you want to be cozy. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the slight breeze. The food was even better than the beer! I had avocado toast and butternut squash soup. Hubby had a hamburger and fries. Plus he had a Damnation beer which he liked! Even though we prefer wine, we each discovered a new favorite beer! We will return! read more

RRBC is a gigantic, beautiful brewery! Saturday night anywhere can be a jam..but we didn't mind an hour wait time, more beer to drink I say! The main bar was jammed, but right around the corner, another bar and an enormous outdoor venue. I imagine come spring time, outdoor music etc..perfect! The food, fish and chips, pork sammich and the beet salad. Everyone was pleased. Our service was great..no complaints! This place was by far the BEES KNEES!!! So clean and THE best cooked steak we had ever had!! I stopped here with my 3 daughters and no one left with an empty stomach!! I love this place! The original Santa Rosa location will always be my favorite, but I love the location and size of this newer Windsor location. A lot of people compare the two, but they're honestly nothing alike, other than the beer anyway. The outside area is super spacious and I love hanging out out there when the weather is nice. The only things I don't love is that they don't serve pizza at this one and the acoustics are pretty bad. I understand their decision to have a completely different menu though! At least they have fries at this one - and they're delicious, especially with the cheddar fondu. If they fixed the echoing problem I know a lot more people would be into it. I know several people that don't enjoy coming here for that reason alone. I still give it five stars though since it's Russian River! read more

First off, this would have been a five star review if the only things I was considering were the conduct of OUR bartender, the food (great) and the beer (excellent). Unfortunately as we were wrapping up, one of the bartenders started giving out samples of the upcoming release beer (Pliny the younger) to their friends, despite being several days before the event. He then proceeded to tell others no when they also asked for samples. It was awkward and frankly felt super weird. Beer culture is usually inclusive and fun, and I don't think it would have felt weird if there had been a blanket "sorry it's policy to wait" thing going on, but obviously if you have the right friend the rule doesn't apply. This is a very impressive place! The service we had at the 3 person high top bar table was great. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. It couldn't have been any better. The restaurant is big and the outdoor area will be great for the summer. The beer is obviously awesome. The burger was really good. The bun was pretty plain and could use an upgrade. Ever other aspect of the burger was perfect and flavorful. The fries are good for being on the thicker side. I prefer thin cut. I can't wait to go back and try more beer and food. read more

I like their beer, the people not so much. I went up (me Bay Area) there with family and my French Bulldog. I was assured they are dog friendly. We got there and they directed us to the patio. Tried to order a round of beers, but the bartenders (2) were way too busy talking to the waitresses. I took my dog over to our table and left her with my brother and got our beers. I'm guessing there is no waitress service on the patio. I asked where we order food. I was told that with the dog we can't have food on the patio. I told them she is a service dog, they didn't care. We did the self brewery tour, which was interesting and easy to follow but still informative. Could have used a bit more history on the brewery itself. Now, we sat at the bar and received excellent service. We were there for lunch on a Monday. The food was delicious! Squash soup and a chicken ceaser salad. This location is HUGE. Tons of parking. Came in for lunch during the week to avoid crowds. The restaraunt area is clean and there's tons of good seating. This place is totally different from Santa Rosa. No pizza here ;( but the burger I had was very good. Beer selection is legit. All the usual suspects. The tour here surprised me. Very informative and thorough but fun at the same time! Be prepared for a lot of information On brewing and you get to taste a few beers on the tour. I would highly recommend the tour, and well worth the $15. You also get a glass after to keep. My husband and I have put off coming here because its so touristy and different than the Santa Rosa one. I added myself to the waitlist and we were in when we arrived 10 minutes later on a Saturday! It is clean, nice looking and seems like a nice place to go and hang out, kid friendly and pet friendly which is a huge plus for my family. It was extremely loud in the main room when we first walked in, but we were taken to a smaller room where we could enjoy our date night. My husband had eaten a late lunch so he wasn't as hungry, but I hadn't eaten all day so I was there to have a meal as well as a beer. I had the steak frites and they were really good, when my waiter asked how I wanted my steak I said "well". I don't eat much meat and after my last pregnancy I cannot handle anything other than well. He kind of made a face when I ordered and sure enough when my order came out it was not even close to well. I was extremely annoyed, but he didn't check in much at all and my husband and I only had a couple hours out for our date, we didn't want to waste it waiting for him to come back 30 minutes later to complain. Other than our waiter we enjoyed our time. The lady at the front was starting her first day there and she was great! She had a question before she sat us and a lot of people came to help her.
