So first review of 2021 and I figured I would finally leave a review for this place seeing as we order from here at least once every two weeks (don't judge us). They are super close to us which a plus but they also go out of their way to make your experience enjoying. About 3 years ago when we first ordered from here I remember not being impressed. My pizza was soggy and dripping with grease. Little did I realize my partner ordered it with extra garlic sauce (I didn't even know that was a thing nor realized it at the time) but when I complained the manager made good on it with another pizza to try again to see how we liked it. Luckily the next pizza was amazing and we have been loyal patrons ever since! The staff is always friendly, our pizza is always cooked correctly, and it's always ready on time when we order online or delivery. Are they the cheapest Pizza place around? Heck no! At first Marcos was our go to pizza. Lately things have gone downhill and fast. We have received a pizza without any sauce, we had a delivery where we were told 30 minutes AFTER delivery that it was there. We even requested they knock. Our coupons almost never work and when you call in to use them they do not apply them correctly. We tried to use our rewards on an order. The store cancelled the order with no explanation. When asked about refund and our rewards we were told they would not be doing that. After fighting a bit, we did get our refund but no points back. We decided to try this pizza place now that it's finally open. We ordered half Delux and Pepperoni Magnifico, Garden pizza and cheesy bread. My husband had the thin crust with Delux and PM and he really liked it. He said it reminded him of Donato's pizza back in Ohio. My garden pizza was decent. It was just right size, not too much sauce and not greasy and have left overs for the next day. The cheesy bread tasted very fresh and it came with marinara and ranch sauce for dipping. People that work there were very friendly and enthusiastic. There were a few people already waiting for their orders when we got there and more people came in to order right after us. I'm glad to see that this place is busy means they have good pizza. They also have other items such as salads and sub sandwiches(hoagies). They have bottles of soft drinks on display for sale as well if you want to buy drinks to go with your pizzas. This is probably the 3rd time we've ordered out in the past 3 months so this review is with that disclaimer. I was craving pizza and we got a gift card for 50% off in our mail so decided to use it. We got The Works and it arrived hot and ready. It's definitely greasy but not too cheesy which is good in my book. I have no complaints about the pizza. Just some notes for the establishment and others. The ETA and actual delivery time was off by about 7-10 minutes. Also, the online order option allowed customer to put in any instructions and I specifically put to leave it at the door and text upon arrival. I guess I should've also specifically put not to ring the doorbell because when it arrived.. doorbell rang and no text. I have a sign on my door that said in caps not to ring the doorbell. In any event, it's all good. Just a constructive note to make sure to check the porch door upon delivery or look at the instruction notes because if you decide to provide that during checkout, then expectation is you need to read it and comply. I'd give this place maybe 4.5 stars. It's not the best, but it's pretty good, and I would not hesitate to order it if I'm craving pizza. So I'm not sure why their rating is so low. I'm thinking their delivery service might be the reason, but I always pickup, so I can't comment on that. I'm not a pizza fanatic, but it's definitely better than most of the other chains. I like the crust, plenty of cheese, and good toppings. I've never ordered during busy times, but when I have ordered, it's ready when they said. They only have like one table, so I wouldn't dine in. The workers always seem pleasant and competent. Update: A week later and I wanted to update my review. After the pizza was picked up, it had been sitting for some time. I can't give a review based on taste or freshness. I am adding 2 stars because Marcos Pizza just credited that purchase back to my account. Maybe the woman working that day didn't know how to handle the situation. They are new. I don't know if they saw this review or looking over what happened that day because I'm sure I wasn't the only one affected. Usually when I personally don't like something, I just move on. However, this situation is not about the quality of their pizza - it is about their service. I ordered a pizza for deliver at 11:00. It said it would be delivered at 11:30. I was having a working lunch with my staff and we were on a deadline. I thought I'd order a couple of pizzas for them. We received a phone call around 11:15 saying that the girl was the only one there and she did not want to leave the shop unattended and was it okay if the pizza was delivered around noon instead. Answer - sure no problem. Noon is still lunch. At 12:30 still no pizza. at 12:35 the phone rang and offered us a 30% discount to come in and pick up the pizza because the delivery guy didn't show. I work with clients. I understand customer service. I also own a business so I know bad, unexpected things happen. I'm just shocked we were offered a 30% discount to stop working and go pick up the pizza 30 minutes after the time the pizza was supposed to be delivered per the first phone call. I honestly would have been okay if they just gave the pizza for free. Not because I want free stuff but because they were making an effort to make their mistake or service better. I'm also guessing that if the pizza was made to be delivered at noon when the driver did come in - it has sat under the warming lights or warming tray for almost an hour now. When effort is made to right a wrong and responsibility is taken, I'll be okay when things didn't go as planned. We did go get the pizza because everyone was hangry at that point. I didn't want fist fights to break out over trying to decide what everyone wanted now that stomachs were rumbling. Tried the cheese pizza - it was pretty average. The small pizza was big for its name, but priced accordingly.

Marco's is a decent little pizza delivery/carry-out place. They are a smaller chain so I'm sure they vary place to place. The pizza is pretty standard but is definitely made to order with fresh ingredients. I normally do carry-out and they tend to take 10-15 minutes longer than predicted to make it. Of the big brands, I'd compare it most similar to Domino's. However, it is significantly more expensive for that class of pizza. Their saving grace is there are coupons readily available in store, online, and via mailers. read more

I get it! You don't order seafood at a steak house so why order a sub at a pizza place? We tried their pizza and it was good so we decided to order a pizza again until the wife says "I would rather have a sub." We ordered three subs two steaks and one veggie. There wasn't 3 oz of meat between the two sandwiches. Mostly bread a little onion and very little meat. The veggie sub was made wrong as well--custom to remove the olives and a change from cheddar to provolone cheese. Neither happened. I like the concept of pizza bowls without the pizza bread. However, today I ordered a Philly cheesesteak bowl and greek salad. Spent 20 minutes driving to pick it up. I was very disappointed to open the pizza bowl box only to find half of the food was missing. So.... who ate it? It certainly wasn't me and I felt compelled to throw it out. This evening, as we normally do when ordering, we ordered a pizza online. Our pizza was delivered, but when I brought it inside (we use contactless delivery), it smelled a little different. Turns out, there were sliced onions on top of what we thought was our pepperoni pizza. I called them up and the manager admitted the accidental pizza swap--it happens. I worked 6 years in fast food--I have done it too! So, they promised to recook a new pizza and send it out. I had ordered a Pepsi which I did get in the first delivery, but they sent another (they didn't have to do that) with the new pizza which by the way was perfect!! So, that's why I gave 5 stars. All good until person answering phone told me they were "out of large pizzas". Wrong thing to say! But, I asked what they DID have, and was told medium-thin. When I called this time to voice my frustration my call was answered by an employee who yelled in my ear for the manager named Jose. We have ordered from here a few times and always enjoyed our pizza. Tonight I ordered and it was taking an unusually long time. I called and the manager said that he was aware that my pizza had not arrived and he was remaking my order and sending them out fresh at no cost. He never said why but I was impressed that they had already fixed my issue before I callled. I would have given them 5 but my pizza was wrong and they forgot my 2 liter. I do have to say though that even after I told the delivery person he didn't have to bring it back because they had already comped my order they sent a new driver out with one any way. This is the worst pizza in Plano, and that includes Jack's frozen pizza. I do not recommend going here. They say the dough is handmade, but it doesn't taste that way. First time Marco's customer. Ordered for delivery ay 635p. Estimated delivery time of 735p. Called at 750p to ask about status and was told our order had just gone out for delivery. Called back at 810p to ask again about status and was told they were still making our order and it would be another 25 mins, at which point I asked to cancel the order. The gentleman on the phone was apologetic, said this was not typical, voided our payment, and said he would still send the order. Lack of proactive communication, and misinformation when I called, is frustrating and I am not likely to order from them again based on that alone. Food finally arrived at 830p.
