I know this is a BBQ place but you have to try their Buffalo Chic Sandwich! My wife's was PERFECTLY cooked, moist w/o being watery, full-on chicken flavor and a nice thin, crunchy buff coating. SO GOOD!!! We came around 6pm on Wednesday and there was a 30 minute wait which shows you how good this place is. Service was fantastic! Everything came out super fast...I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes for our food. I got the pulled pork and my husband ordered the brisket bomb. The food was delicious! We ate way too much! My husband and I just moved to Georgetown a few months ago and I wish we tried this sooner. We've heard rave reviews and have seen all of the signs around and finally decided to get take out with my family in town. Pick up is very covid-friendly. Masks are worn and there's a take out table outside. A member of the staff was very attentive and came out right away to ask what we needed. They took the bag out to us and ran our card. They had hand sanitizer available outside as well. The best part... THE FOOD. There are many places that call themselves the best BBQ... welp I'd say this is the best and possibly only BBQ joint near us. We got a few combo plates with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. All plates come with white bread, corn bread with honey butter (heck yes) pickes & onions, and a choice of 2 sides. The Mac n cheese and spicy black beans were great sides! Good food, friendly service, and nice sports bar atmosphere. Ribs were very tender and moist and the sauce complemented them well. Brisket was also moist and tasty, although not quite as good as BT's in Sturbridge. Too light on the smoke. Pulled pork was good but was missing North Carolina vinegar sauce. Sides were good but they need to stop serving McDonalds fries. Overall, good food that needs more smoke and better sauce variety. read more

Wow. Such amazing food. Angry at myself for waiting so long to take the 10 minute trip to The Rusty Can. We ordered 2 racked of ribs and they were perfectly cooked. Fall of the bone with just enough pull. Mac and cheese and beans were beyond compare. The beans were filled with chopped brisket. Also got 1/2 pound of brisket and pulled pork. Cooked great with a clear smoke ring. Would have like the brisket to be sliced and not chopped., but was still tasty. Got buffalo wings that were nice and meaty and spicy. The burnt ends were huge and juicy. Can't say enough about the food. Lady working the phone was great and helpful with how to do the pick up in these current times. What can I say that you haven't already heard about the Rusty Can? Night after night this place is turning out top notch barbecue! If you need to know what's on the menu for the day check out their Facebook page, there's some thing on the menu for everyone. I am personally a fan of their brisket, the brisket bomb sandwich is off the charts, the mac & cheese is creamy and delicious, and the pulled pork is fantastic! Living as close to this restaurant as we do we benefit from the smell of the smokers going all morning and night. Service was awful for take out. The person answering the phone was rude, I had to call back twice because she wouldn't let me finish a sentence, like when to pick up our food. When picking up the person there was so busy on her cell phone she gave me the wrong change and then when questioned she couldn't do the math! Then, there is the food. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and no condiments like bbq were offered. The photo on the yelp site provided by the Resturant is not representative of what we got the sandwich only had one teaspoon of slaw the bun was greasy they grilled it on the griddle so it tasted like a hamburger. No pickle, so sauce dry meat, little slaw and greasy bun. No utensils and no napkins were provided. Total order was 34$ half went in the trash.I left small tip and will never eat there again! read more

We stopped by Rusty Can on our way to Maine, sort of by chance. We got very hungry all of a sudden, and used Yelp to find the closest Barbecue place, which happened to be Rusty Can. Had we missed that highway exit, we'd have missed out on some of the best barbecue we've ever had. The exterior is nothing fancy, just an unassuming building on the side of the road & slightly hidden by the main road. But once you step inside, you see the love, care, and excitement that goes into Rusty Can. The smell is unbelievable. We waited about twenty minutes for a table --- nothing compared to the wait times that came right after us (people were waiting 40 minutes or more). I've never minded a restaurant with a wait; that means it's worth it. And worth it, it was. What a treat the Rusty Can is! Dinner platters are plenty for two people, and while they offer up an incredible smoky/sweet bbq sauce, you don't need sauce. My partner and I shared a platter that came with brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread, pickles, and onions. The star was the brisket. Calling it "moist" doesn't do it justice. You bite into the brisket and it's a flavor explosion, with the smokiness shining through atop a salty, peppery undertone. The ribs were equally tender, falling right off the bone and providing that satisfying, smoky hit. Sides were exceptional - the collard greens were my favorite, offering a great tanginess that balanced the smoky brisket. And while I don't ever review a place for the customers, everyone there was so friendly! We were seated at a family style table next to other customers, and everyone was talking together now and again. Everyone was clearly happy to be there. The staff is exceptional too. I was fired by Rusty Can as a customer. I came in one very busy day. I ordered a beer and it was set on the table in front of me almost 3/4 full. Server never returned to table. I didn't wanna complain I didn't wanna interrupt their busy times so I took a picture of it, drank it and left the money on the table with tip as usual and left. Couple days later, I Facebook message the restaurant and I said look I got this beer and it wasn't a proper pour no big deal just letting you know. I received a message back from Mike the manager said yeah just ask for me next time you come in. I said thanks very much I love you guys my favorite place. So I go in, I ask for Mike and Denni the bartender (who I see all the time) says "whats it about" I said oh my name is Kevin I have this message from him to ask for him when I come in next. I show her the message and she looks at me and says "so you narc on us, get us in trouble and now I gotta pour you a free beer?" I said well it's not that big a deal doesn't need to be a free beer I was just letting them know. Sorry. She pours the beer I drink it I drink another beer I have lunch she gives me the bill only one beer charged. I think ok that's cool no big deal. She doesn't call me Cutie this time. She tells me that the owner wants her to thin out the crowd and if people complain just tell him to leave because he has too many customers. I look at her in disbelief and I say no way that's crazy. So I leave a generous tip as I always do and walk out. I think to myself she told me that story for a reason. So a few days go by, Hopi g all is ok, I go back in I sit at the bar and boom, she ignores me. I hear her over in the corner telling all the servers "there's the tattletale, that guys a tattletale tattletale tattle tattle and the fellow workers are glaring at me. So, finally somebody comes over I order a beer I drink it I leave a generous tip and realize that's the last time I will ever go to Rusty Can. I had been going all the time. I always leave between 30 and 50% tip and sometimes 100% tip if it's just a couple beers. I have taken friends there often and when family is in town I always take them there and one night I went in I ordered some food got a large to go order and it came to about $190 and I left $300. Not sure if they pool tips but I expect so. I told the story to a friend of mine and he sided with Denni until the tattle tale bs. I agreed. I felt like sh$! about it all. I felt bad I even mentioned it. As a fellow restauranteur, a chef and a smoker aficionado myself I really appreciated Rusty Can and It was my go to place as it had been for the last year. I live close by. Now I can't walk in there again. I can't take family, I can't take friends, and I can't recommend it. It's a bummer what the bully tactics of Denni did to me. It was like I was in 5th grade getting ganged up on. And this is the bartender that I've complemented over and over. I even asked for her one day and I said thank you I brought my wife and daughter in here the other day, they were apprehensive, and you just couldn't have been nicer. I really appreciate it. She looked at me and said oh my gosh thank you. A fellow bartender said that was nice of me because she had just received a bad review online. One night Denni took the label off of that Ipswich lager can, came over from behind the bar and plastered it on my back. I thought wow this is my bartender this is where I'm going to come. They have my favorite beer, have great food, cool place. I'll come here often. I'm not angry, I'm sad. Sad because I love the place. I give Rusty Can five stars. I don't think the owner said that. I don't think the kitchen would treat people that way so Rusty Can gets five stars from me. read more

Driving from Boston to Maine, I pulled in here at 830 on a thursday night. I was very pleasantly surprised excellent brisket.

Man oh man... I'll tell ya, if there is one thing that the northeast has been lacking for well EVER, it's been real BBQ. This is the type of place you go to and you don't mean to do it, but you eat yourself till you hate yourself. It's a bit of a drive for me coming from the city, but worth every overpriced gallon of gas (Let's go Brandon). I started off the normal menu my first time, but now I eagerly await their posts on IG to fire up my palate. I've yet to get in on the Ramen, but it's fine, I'm told it will be well worth the wait, and I'm also told to get there early, because it sells out. I can go on and tell you how great everything is, but I am not going to. You see a place like this, you're supposed to go and learn it on your own. There's usually a wait, deal with it. We were finally around the area to check out Rusty Can. We have heard so many great things and how amazing the food is. That may be the case, but our experience as soon as we walked in was awful. We walk in and a server says "I will be with you in minute." My mom, who uses a cane to walk was barely walking in through the door and another person was coming in right behind her. The same server walks by us again and says in a rude tone, "You need to move in and let others in!" All while my husband was holding the door for "others" to come in. This place may have amazing food, but the customer service was simply awful. My mother and father felt so uncomfortable they asked to leave. I hope this doesn't happen anyone else. read more
