Would I recommend: yes What I ordered: Plain bagel Smoked salmon lox Pickled onions Capers Dill/cream cheese The amount of lox was a little light, but they were quality. Everything tasted fresh. The made other things by hand there. It's not a place that has frozen ingredients off of a truck. I would go here again.

Randomly stopped in here for lunch while antiquing around town. The coffee was divine. I had a fall special of salted maple oat milk latte. Their granola parfait was delicious and just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. The bacon and egg breakfast sandwich was delicious also. Tiny inside with a few spots to sit and enjoy. Very friendly and fast service. New fav coffee spot in Astoria.

This is a great place for coffee and Tea beverages on Commercial Street, right by the Sunday Market. This was our 2nd time stopping by at this place. The beverages we've tried thus far taste great. They also have some fresh sweet and savory baked goods, and also make some breakfast sandwiched with toast, bagels or English Muffins. This is a smaller place, with 3 small tables and some tall chairs on a counter which overlook Commercial street. Their service is great and the breakfast sandwiches we've tried are good, albeit on the smaller side.

This place was amazing! I was getting grumpy and needed some caffeine and a bagel and my wishes came true! I got a dirty chai and it was delicious! Also my bagel had a healthy amount of cream cheese. Much appreciated! The cafe is tucked away and blends into the building but well worth the stop! Service was fast and staff are friendly. Next time I'm in Astoria this will be my first stop.

Great little independent cafe, with well trained baristas and seemingly engaged mgmt. Lattes were pulled consistently well over several days; staff was cheery and customer service oriented. The non-adjustable fan was an annoying pain in my neck, literally; the door with poor seal at top and large missing sweep at bottom wasn't a great separator between the near freezing cold outdoors and kept the place from feeling cozy. A door closer would really help exiting with fully loaded hands.

We stopped by here in Astoria before checking out neighboring places and found this nice coffee shop that doubles up as a great place to get a quick bite. I personally tried the sausage egg breakfast sandwich substitute for everything bagel for $1.50 more. For $8 total, this was a pretty solid sandwich. The bagel is nicely toasted and super fresh and the sausage and egg, despite it being something I can easily make at home, is welcoming in terms of the speed of preparation as we are tight on time to explore the neighboring areas. For the price and quality, this place is very solid.

This is a great spot for a cup of coffee. We came into Astoria on a cruise ship and wandered in to the Rusty Cup on a whim. The inside of the shop is clean and has a nice aesthetic. There is a cozy, quiet vibe where it feels like you can really sit down, relax, and enjoy your drink. The barista was extremely friendly and patient despite our indecisiveness. We tried the iced matcha latte and a regular drip coffee. The pricing is great here, especially for a small coffee shop. Both drinks were prepared with care and tasted great. You can tell they take a lot of pride and care in their product here. Definitely recommended if you enjoy coffee, especially if you're stopping by for a short time from a cruise ship. If I ever find myself in Astoria again, I will be sure to visit again!

I enjoyed a Flying Barney here on a chilly October afternoon. First off, the store has an adorable charm with local funky handmade masks on the store and very much has the vibe of a local coffee place. Note that during COVID it is limited to 3 people inside at a time. The prices were also fairly cheap without sacrificing quality. The Flying Barney, a cold chocolate drink, came with some delicious whipped cream and finely blended up coffee beans which added a fun texture to the drink. A 16 oz came out to around $4, which was cheaper than Starbucks! read more

Couldn't decide where to get a quick bite to eat before the dreaded doctors appointment... so glad we found the rusty cup on Yelp! Great service and yummy food. Prices are good and everyone is so friendly. Definitely brightened our day and filled our tummies. I'd recommend a croissant breakfast sandwich and white mocha. Will be back next time we're in Astoria. Oh! And their sign outside is clever! Literally a giant "rusty cup" lol points for character. Tiny place near the Liberty Theater on Commercial Street - reduces menu and no-inside seating, as adjusted for COVID-19. We stopped in both mornings of our stay for white mochas and breakfast burritos each time - so good. Mochas are creamy and rich rather than sugary. The burritos are amazing - egg, bacon, hash brown, cheese and salsa in a panini-grilled tortilla for $5 even. One kept me full on a whole day of touristing. Clean, very friendly. Wish I had photos to post but the food disappeared too quickly. read more

I just stopped in here for a latte and breakfast sandwich. I got an egg, cheddar cheese, and ham sandwich on a bagel. It was delicious! The eggs were fluffy and the bagel was toasted just right! The reason for only four stars is that the latte was not very hot. It tasted good but was only slightly warm in temperature and definitely could have been warmer! I will be returning to this business! read more

Don't be fooled that their breakfast sandwiches are worth it. They are nearly $8 and the same size and ingredients as Egg McMuffins from McD. Coffee was good, but the overall value very poor. read more

It's been a while since our trip to Astoria, but I did want to point out this place. It's a small space and the lady who runs it is very friendly. The sandwiches and the coffee drinks are all made from scratch and the coffee is as good as any from a high-end barista. She knows her stuff and it shows. There is a reason why there's always a line out the door. read more

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast during a weekend trip. Service was so friendly (and comical!). Got a cappuccino and an americano. For breakfast we had bagel sandwiches (could've used a little salt and pepper but overall great). Great value for the price read more

lovely place with excellent service! was dissapointed to find theyre no longer serving the sandwhiches you see here on yelp, so we opted for the breakfast burrito. should be noted these come premade so you can't add / remove anything from them, also seemed like it came with hot sauce of some sort inside which i wasn't expecting but was still tasty! read more

Don't know why this place has high reviews. As a coffee person was looking forward to a delicious, strong cup of coffee. The coffee here was weak and basic, so I needed to stop somewhere else to get another cup. Was also odd that for a coffee shop they only had basic stuff (cream, regular spread of sugar... had to ask for milk and brown sugar). The staff is friendly, but the manager/ owner wasn't as warm; was a bit prickly. read more

Good coffee. Friendly service. My wife and I got an americano and a latte. Both drinks were solid and good. But what I really appreciated was the friendliness of the gal helping us. Asking what we were up to, giving us plac s to check out and other places to eat at. My wife and I both felt a bit of a cold / unwelcoming vibe walking around much of Astoria so it was a refreshing experience to say the least. read more

Owner was very rude when we were on a tour bus and was dropped off in front of his coffee shop. There was about 25 of us ordering a coffee drink. I don't know how the two females are able to work for him! We asked that he might repark his car after he unloaded his store supplies and he said "I'm not moving my car for any bus"!! We had to load the but with 48 people and tie up traffic! Extremely rude!!!! I enjoyed my coffee that his two female employees mad for me read more

The staff was very nice and courteous. We had a BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato avocado) and a Tuscan Turkey panini. Both very good. Lots of drink options between espresso, smoothies, and blended drinks. There were also a lot of choices for baked goods from a local area bakery. We will definitely come back when we are in town. read more

Needed a quick coffee and breakfast to start our day of adventure. They are following plague guidelines and only allow three customers at a time in the shop which I appreciate. Very friendly fast service. Order a white mocha and an egg, cheese, and bacon breakfast sandwich on a croissant. My husband got a coffee cake and peanut butter cookie which he enjoyed. Friday, February 5th, 2021 -The Rusty Cup has a lot of Five (5) star fans - there's the teller at Key Bank, who likes their Americanos, there's my next-door neighbor Eva, this list goes on and on of people, who have told me they like The Rusty Cup. So today Friday, February 5th - I went to The Rusty Cup and asked the owner to make me her best sandwich. She made me a classic BLT and the touch of Guacamole made it a yummy sandwich, especially for bacon lovers. Today, I'm joining The Rusty Cup's five (5) star fan club because The Rusty Cup has excellent coffee & sandwich. Now, I'm a Vanilla latte drinker and The Rusty Cup's Vanilla lattes are as good my favorite Coffee cafes (Journey's End (when driving somewhere over bridge) & Coffee Girl (the ambience of being on Pier 39 makes the view unbeatable) but if, your in downtown Astoria I recommend you go to The Rusty Cup, you'll definitely join The Rusty Cup's Five (5) star rating club after one visit. LOVE. This was the perfect find on our early morning adventure. No frills. Not too busy (though by the time we left, the spot was mobbed with locals and a long line had formed). Must've gotten lucky because clearly everyone knows how good this spot is. Ordered a dirty chai tea latte with almond milk (yey!) and an extra shot of espresso -- YUM. We also had a breakfast sandwich, which was okay. Not as memorable as the chai, but exactly what we needed to get us going in the morning. No wifi -- better for you anyway. Cute beta fish at many tables -- it always bums me out to see fish tanks, but the little ones were very cute. Parking was fairly easy, but again, not sure if that's the case usually because we were there as they were opening. read more

We had 2 delicious mochas- made exactly how I ordered them and a English muffin sandwich which was tasty and perfect for hitting the road. The owner was working- super friendly, knew a lot of her regular customers and good at making coffee!! She got busy right after we ordered but did a good job getting our stuff out along with everyone else's in a timely manner. We will be back- my new fave place to stop in Astoria! I just got a drip coffee with cream so I don't have much to write a review about. This shop is small and, with COVID restrictions, doesn't allow for indoor seating. Only three customers can be inside at once to allow for for social distancing. read more

The Rusty Cup gives the feeling of a cozy neighborhood staple. A place for neighbors and newcomers to get their breakfast sandwich, smoothie, or espresso while offering an opportunity to pick up some local merch. It's located on the best shopping street in town, right next to the theatre. read more

This is the best little coffee shop we have ever come across. The food is hot and fresh, made to order. The couple that runs it are silly and quirky but that is the way I like people to be. The guy would break out into song while fixing your food. The gal who makes the coffee is chatty and happy and silly. Just an overall wonderful way to start your day in downtown Astoria. Good food, great coffee, and smiles all around. We will be back!!! read more

While Christy's coffee is, I believe, the best in town, 2/3 of the Rusty Cup's experience is the wonderful group of regulars who stay and talk and do crosswords together, and never pick up their cell phones. I will look forward to doing that again when the evil COVID pandemic is driven out of town! read more

Because she wasn't that hungry and I knew I couldn't eat 2 pancakes. Service was nice the poor waiter had to take care all the tables by himself with non stop customers coming in and out, doing the serving, taking orders and busing tables. There was no view of the ocean due to it is on the inside facing the street and not facing the ocean on the outer side of the complex. Restroom located outside, which is shared by all tenants there.

I was thinking of hitting somewhere else the 2nd day but when I stopped in for the morning caffeine fix and there was a line, I weakened and ordered the savory 2 egg, with potato cakes instead of griddle cakes. This place is a great addition to an already above average food scene.

He then stated, I thought I pressed the carbonation button with the soda... huh.. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years. I know that's not how that works.
