before saying what i have to say i would like to say i myself am a server and understand things happen however our experience was unexceptionable especially considering this is the second time it has happened with this server. The crawfish is amazing which is why we went in the first place. our other food was good they had the burger and fried shrimp and liked it. however the service we had was quite literally the worst service we have ever received. our server came to our table THREE times the whole time we were there and the third time was because we asked another server to bring her over. we were missing the sausage on one crawfish platter, my baby brothers rice, and needed some sauces. when we asked for it all it, by the time the server came back with the sauces we were half way done with our food. the sausage didn't come out till after we had finished all of our plates. we asked for a manger who honestly didn't seem to give a crap that there were any problems. i didn't get the serves name, asked her for a receipt so i could have it and she never brought he receipt. i was HIGHLY disappointed with our experience and we agreed as a group we will not be returning. read more

I visited one of my favorite waitresses (Faith) at the Rusty Hook in Baycliff. I had 3 pounds of boiled crawfish (spicy). They were kinda small but seasoned to perfection. I also had the catfish & Shrimp dinner with corn on the cob and green beans. I would give the whole meal a solid 8 out of 10. Only drawback is the parking is limited. This is a popular local spot so come early or be prepared for a bit of a wait during prime dining times. read more

This is a dive bar that serves food. Many were eating crawfish, so I imagine the boils are good. The food we ordered was merely okay. The ambience was as described above, and very smoky. I can see this place being popular on the weekends with live music, but it is not a place I would go for a meal. read more

So, I have been here a few times but it's been a little while. I wound up ordering a burger with tots and a soda. I just checked my bank because I could hardly read the handheld device they bring. I do know I hit the 18% for the tip and I agree with one of the other reviews where they stated it's a little uncomfortable for them to hold it while you choose a tip. They should give you the device to complete it. My bank currently says $32 and I'm not sure if that includes the tip because normally tips post later so I'm kind of wondering how this meal got so pricey? My food was brought to the wrong table and I was trying to tell the guy as were other people and he just walked back to the kitchen. I get they were trying to combine food with a bar but it is looking more and more like a bar every day. There are now pool tables and as others stated, there is the smoke. For the nonsmokers, not really how you want to enjoy a meal. Even to go out for a drink, chain smokers in tight quarters ruin the moment for me. If I start coughing or my eyes start watering, I'm probably in the wrong place. Some of these places are for smokers, and I guess the rest of us should find ones without smoke. Posting my burger. Arrived at 9PM to order to go before they closed at 10PM. Walked in, no one greeted us or said anything, it was empty other than workers sitting at tables on their phones. An older white man with a beard, white shirt, and hat next to the bar waved his hand across his neck signaling they "were closed". My husband, asked to be sure "Y'all are closed?" and the older man nodded his head. Don't advertise 10PM everywhere if you're going to close at 9PM. read more

She was open, honest, and made the experience amazing from start to finish. The food, was phenomenal as well. We had the tuna appetizer, boudin egg rolls, chicken fried steak, and got some baked potatoes and burgers to go. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, and tasted great. My wife and I stopped in to see how the food was like. We noticed that it is a true bar and grill with a welcoming atmosphere. We were immediately greeted, seated and our server, Joe made some awesome recommendations for appetizers. We ordered the boudin egg rolls which are great. My wife ordered the bbq potato and I ordered the queso crawfish burger. Frankly, that is one of the very best five burgers I've ever had! The crawfish were not rubbery they were perfectly prepared and the burger is seasoned and prepared at a medium rare. We will, for sure return. read more

Really enjoyed Boushays but not impressed when they reopened. I loved their happy hour. Wings not as tasty. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. Sat outside to get away from smoke and of course shortly after ordering people came outside and started smoking. Service wasn't terrible but was slow. Really disappointed in my visit. They are advertising 50 cent oysters on Tuesdays so I had to check that out. To say they were SMALL OYSTERS would be an understatement. (I had a friend that went Saturday night and he said the oysters were big.) There were maybe 2 decent sized oysters out of 12. My goal was to order oysters and then order something else on the menu, but they were so small that I simply paid out and didn't order anything else. Table full of screaming preteen girl baseball team and some guy on the mike playing snippets of songs. We never did find out what was going on. Let me start by saying the food is wonderful!! A group of friends go for Sunday Brunch most Sunday's. For the third time we got Kevin as a server. And I use that term loosely. He approaches the table with a surly, can't be bothered attitude. No smile, no pleasantries. Just "How many is there going to be?" With an attitude. He took the drink order and returned 20 minutes later. It was all downhill from there. Empty glass for 30 minutes, refilled only when he came to take our food order. Food was delivered by a runner who was perfectly pleasant. The last person arrived late and sat for 15 minutes without acknowledgement. When Kevin did approach 4 of us ordered refills/drinks. I handed him my empty glass as I ordered mine. Two of the ladies received their drinks, while I and another did not. He came around the table to give me my check and I inquired about the two missing drinks. He rudely responded "I didn't hear!" to which I said "Then you weren't listening, I handed you my empty glass!" He mouthed off "Don't tell me...." and stomped into the kitchen to send another unsuspecting waitress. This is what we asked for from the beginning!!??!! And were told she would see by the greeter. We had the Boiled snow crab and shrimp combination 5X spicey. While the food was excellent and spicey as ordered, there was supposed to be 1 lb of shrimp with the order. We counted them and there were 8 fairly small shrimp. So, not even close to 1 lb. I asked the waiter about it she recommended we order another 1/2 lb. Really? So where do I start....Customer Service SUCKED. Well, there was no wait time on a Friday evening which was good. It all went downhill after that. It took 15 minutes and asked 2 waitresses for someone to acknowledge us sitting there. We placed our order which was a BBQ sandwich, 2 LBS of crawfish, and a seafood platter. When our food was delivered minus our crawfish, we asked our waitress for utensils, lemon, and ketchup. We waited and she never came back, so we asked another server who passed by, but still no response, we stopped another waitress, but nothing. Finally, we asked a fourth waitress she came back and told us that all the utensils were dirty and gave us 1 plastic pack to share between the 3 of us. Our food was warm, not hot anymore. One of us ate with a spoon, another with a fork, and the other with a knife. The crawfish never came, but other people were getting their crawfish. I like to think it wasn't because of our race.
