My husband and I thought we'd try something new. I had the #10 fried chicken, white rice, slaw and black beans. My husband had the fish and shrimp tacos. We shared the nachos which were good. The fried chicken bowl was a bit bland. I added the green chili salsa which made it better. The chicken came in 3 small chicken pieces which would have been better chopped up. My husbands tacos were ok. His shrimp had a bit too much cabbage. Overall, atmosphere and cleanliness were great. Staff are friendly and quick. read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular taco and wow... there are no words. A classic taco done right. Crisp taco shell, juicy meat, stuffed with all the essentials (ground beef, cheese, shredded lettuce, and this amazing sauce that I have no idea about ). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. They make a better than okay taco. The place was clean and very efficient. Great for a quick meal. We got a bunch of tacos and the beef nachos. Our favorite was the brisket taco. The meat was well cooked and had some flavor. The breaded fish and grilled shrimp tacos were also pretty dang good. I would absolutely skip the Rusty's taco and the acapulco fish taco. They were both sub par. Tortillas were basic corn tortillas and the salsas kind sucked. $4 a taco isn't bad for what they deliver. read more

Went here for the first time tonight because we were in the area and figured we give it a try. Although the bartender was pleasant enough , the food was not. I ordered the shrimp bowl and the rice was sticky, the meal was too salty and the overall meal was not good at all. My husband ordered steak fajitas and there was minimal meat and the fajita fell completely apart when he lifted it to eat it because it was so soggy and greasy. For the amount of $4.50 for one street taco, it certainly was not worth it. If we had eaten our food there, I would have asked for a refund. We wind up throwing it away. I sincerely believe the "people" giving higher than 2 stars reviews are paid bots. Please do not come here. Granted, we did not drink any alcoholic drinks, but I don't even think the drinks could save the food rating. First off, you have to order everything at the bar which was weird, because were you would order and pick up food there's a register there I just don't know if they're short staffed maybe? Second, the food is over priced, $5 per taco is too expensive. We ordered all of our tacos on flour tortillas. Even though the flour tortillas do look like they are homemade, they are served cold and what seems to be undercooked. The portion of meat that they fill the tortilla with is shameful & embarrassing. My husband got a fish taco and a brisket taco. The serving of breaded fish was very small and overly breaded. The brisket was extremely dry and also a small portion. I got a fish taco that was exactly the same and I also got the Baja grill shrimp taco, there were maybe 4 very small shrimp and this taco. All of our tortillas were cold and hard. Our kid got the chicken tender kid meal and the chicken tenders looked like fried clam strips. They were small, overly breaded and extremely dry. I am telling you the only thing that we ordered that was good & hot was the tater tot's that came with the kids meal. You can see from the photos that the cabbage garnish is bigger than the meat portion in the tacos. Please do not waste your money here. When we left, none of the staff asked us how our food was, so they have to know that it's not good. We left immediately walked down the strip mall & ate at Jersey Mike's Subs. The food is really good and fresh. Unique taco combos. My kids don't like the chicken fajita one and they don't really have any other chicken options (kids are big chicken fans). So this is a negative. They need more chicken options. Maybe a pulled chicken type thing with spices or a sauce? The chips and salsa are really good. Fresh. Salsa is a little too salty. Maybe they could lighten the salt on that? Watching my BP is hard here! My favorite taco is the green street. SO GOOD!!! Winner winner. I like this one with the green sauce (delicious) and lime. If you are looking for some tacos in a quick manner this is your spot! The fact that the menu has many options for under 10 dollars (pretty much) is an awesome deal. And did i mention it is QUICK! We stopped in on a weekend afternoon. The vibe here is friendly, relaxed, & beachy. It reminds me of California. There was a sign asking to place orders at the bar, and plenty of tables to sit at, but we sat at the bar. The bar is open to the patio, which adds to the beach vibe. The bartender was quick and helpful with honest recommendations. The top shelf Margarita is delicious and very cheap. The tacos are called "street tacos", but were much larger than the usual street taco. 2 would be more than enough. Our favorite by far was the Baja shrimp. The Baja sauce is like a spicy Mayo. The bbq meat had a super strong smoked flavor. Overall the place was clean, drinks are cheap, the food was awesome & came out fast. Another hidden gem! You can never find too many taco places to love right?! This place is fairly new. I believe the bartender said around 6-8 months now. They have $5 margaritas. I like the frozen regular margarita but my bf enjoys their blueberry pomegranate. Their beers are around $4-$5, also has a full bar and cheap tacos which are insane! They serve the corn tortilla slightly crisp but also offer flour on request. They're known for their brisket tacos which I highly suggest. They also have nachos which I've tried which are great for a quick snack. Breakfast tacos are on the menu all day everyday as well. Who doesn't like breakfast any time of day?! Umm yes please! ‍ This has quickly become one of our new favorite spots to chill. They have TVs with sports ‍and nice little outdoor patio which is open to the bar. A Hidden Gem If you are in the area, you have to stop by Rusty Tacos . On this visit we had the Pastor, Carnitas, and Carne Asada Tacos, and all were delicious. The Carnitas were exceptional, probably some of the best Carnita tacos I've had in a while. The meat is juicy, flavorful and dripping with jus and these tacos are packed with meat, no skimping at this place. You could easily demolish a whole plate of these tacos without much effort. These breakfast tacos are amazing. They're not too big that you feel stuffed afterwards, just perfect for a light breakfast! I'd recommend getting two and then see if you're still hungry. Their breakfast taco options are varied which I love - I wanted to try several of them! The name was what originally caught our eye while visiting San Tan Village. We didn't dine at that location, but learned there was also a Scottsdale location - much closer to home. This location is very bright inside and also has a good amount of patio seating. There was a sign when we walked in directing us to order at the bar instead of the regular counter area. No problem. It wasn't very busy in the middle of the afternoon, so we were able to walk right up to the bar while still being able to observe social distancing. The bartender was friendly and personable and IMO, a good fit for the place. I had signed up online before we arrived and was sent a "free chips and queso" coupon. That queso was the BEST! They should bottle and sell that stuff. It really is that good! We chose a variety of tacos, including a couple of the "all day breakfast" tacos. Everything was excellent. Great flavor combinations and please don't ask me to choose a favorite. We're keeping a list of what we've tried so far because we plan to go back and try them all! Prices were excellent too.
