For my 60th Birthday we made reservations 2 weeks in advance, drove 3 hours to NC and of course no reservation. Hostess was awesome spoke with manager they got us in "wonderful". Staff was slow and they were rude, and fighting in the kitchen, the bar tender walked off after the second raging argument, 21 minutes for our first round. Placed food order then ordered another round it came as she asked us if we wanted dessert, an hour and 5 minutes later. She failed to mention the sides were shareables so we had 11 delivered. Heard rave reviews about how "amazing" the steaks are Celebrated our Anniversary....should've planned otherwise. First off, we were sat at a table with dark stain rings all over the white linens. My chopped salad was absolutely drowning in dressing to where each bite was like taking a spoon full of dressing. I ordered the filet and my wife the petite filet. Had to send hers back because it was completely raw. Mine was the crappy end of a loin...full of gristle and tendons, I ate 4 bits and left the rest on the plate. To say we are unimpressed and disappointed is an understatement. Complete waste of $200....I've had better steak at Sizzler As for Ashley's update....that's laughable. Unreal bad server. Could hardly speak English. Never came around much to check on us. Gave my wife the wrong salad. Potatoes were bland. Steak was USDA choice not USDA prime. Big difference. Worst Ruth's Chris I have dined at; nevermind worst steakhouse I have ever been to. I have never written a review before. But the medium rare steak that was ordered came out as the "worst well done they have seen" (their words, not mine). And then the side that was as originally ordered with the entree was no longer available. This all meant that I subsequently had to dine alone while handing off bites while we waited for his meal to come. And then I got to sit and watch as he ate his. So an ideal dinner. Went there with my fiancé and his 15 yr old daughter just to get away! Such an amazing dinner!! Waitress was asked to keep the drinks coming and she did so effortlessly. We went here for my birthday . We have been many times and this was the worst experience. The service was very slow . The lobster bisque was too salty and cold . It took over 50 min to get our food after ordering and we had to send back because it was cold . We had to flag down another server to get our drinks refilled and check on our food . I have been to several Ruth's Chris restaurants and have never had an issue until tonight. I ordered a medium rare petite filet with a lobster tail and a house salad. My salad was overloaded with dressing, but I didn't mention it. I then got my entree. I would normally use a butter knife to cut through my filet, but not this time because it was though. I looked at it and realized it was more medium. I spoke to the waitress and she agreed with me. She had the inexperienced manager come over and he told me he would remake it. After what seemed like a long time, he brought out a new filet. If I want a sushi I would have gone to a Japanese restaurant. This establishment is going wayyyy downhill. My medium-well steak came back to me mid-rare. We immediately asked for the manager and spoke with him about the situation, he told us he was going to make reservations to a place called Brio. First off, never heard of it. We dined here 10/24/20 and waited in line for 45 minutes for the bar to open due to limited seating. That part was fine, the seats were socially distanced and all the employees wore masks. Besides that, the rest of our experience was a disaster. Our food took longer than expected, my sister ordered the chilean seabass and after 10 minutes a waiter came back saying they were out. She then switched to crab cakes and got food poisoning. She's been sick for 3 days with chills, fever, vomiting, you name it. To be fair.......I try to avoid going out on all the regular "Holidays" because you already know it will be crowded. But this past Fathers Day our daughter was coming up from Miami so we decided to try Ruths at the Cherokee Casino. We just moved up here full time but have owned a residence in the area for over 30 years so we are fairly familiar with all the local dining options and decided on Ruths so we could have some fun beforehand in the Casino. I booked about 10 days in advance just to be sure we could get in. To be honest, I am not a Ruths fan to begin with. The location in Ft. Lauderdale, not far from where I lived the past 65 years, is OK at best. We had a few business meetings there and we were never impressed. Shulas is a far better option IMO. But now we live here full time so why not give this one a try? When we booked I specifically required a booth. I do not like dining in the middle of a crowded room and made that clear on the reservation. We arrived at the Casino.......which is really nice now that smoking is forbidden....... a few hours early and did some gaming. About 20 minutes before our reservation we walked up to check in. Now I should have known better being that this location is right in the middle of a Casino. But the website specifically states "Business Casual" dress. The people walking in and out looked more like beach casual. I don't want to sound snooty, but at 100+ per person I don't want to sit by someone in cutoff jeans and sandals. We can do that at McDonalds. So we checked in and 15 minutes later, even though we could see numerous open tables, we were called for seating. Our daughter told them we had requested, and wanted, a booth. Sorry, none available. Well, we requested one well in advance so what can you do? We were walked in to a table for 6, kind of silly for a party of 3, which had 1/2 booth seats against the wall and one side open seating, right next to the entrance door. Nope. No entrance, no exit, no serving area, no bathroom area........I don't make reservations in advance for lousy seating. The lady called over the Manager and, in all his professional wisdom, instead of suggesting we wait for a booth to open he just told us sorry, there was nothing he could do. What? Really? I mean, you don't even suggest going to the bar until one comes open? So I told him thanks anyway, we will dine somewhere else. And I suggested to him in not so quiet a voice that they remove the dress code from the website since anything above complete nudity seemed to be acceptable. So we had a couple of more beers......once again the rest of the Casino and every staff member we interacted with was great......then left the Casino and headed down the street to Osaka Sushi house which has some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. I guess if you want to go there just so you can say you ate a 60 dollar steak, have at it. For me, I expect better treatment and a more sophisticated atmosphere for those kind of prices. read more

Had 5! Women at front to seat people but then had no openings for dinner (short staffed so half of the tables were not being used) so they just stood around. Yes, they have help--but for some reason they over hire in the front and then do not hire or train in the back. Why not train one of the hosts to at least clean tables rather than just standing around. There was a long line to get the first come first seated bar spaces. When we asked about the empty seats, we were told that they were waiting on the bar tops to be cleaned. Really? Not one of the five could grab a rag and wipe the table off? When i finally got to the front of the line, I was told to go and ask a woman if i could sit next to her. What??? Is it hard to wipe off the bar and serve drinks until the kitchen can get the food out. Empty seats at a bar are a huge loss of revenue. And the bartenders don't get tips if they are not serving. Put people at the bar and let them have a drink while they wait much better than standing for an hour at the door looking at empty tables. And then, my so called salad was inedible. I ordered a medium rare fillet and my wife ordered a medium New York strip and both steaks were tough as if it was put in a tilt skillet! It was so chewy and I tried to eat it, I couldn't force myself to eat it! I would've been better to eat elsewhere but didn't because I was craving a nice steak! I had a birthday and decided to splurge and go to Ruth's Crist. What I found out was that they could not get my filet cooked right. Had to send it back twice. By the time I got a medium rare filet my wife had finished eating. To top it off the servers were totally disinterested. They stood I'm a corner of the virtually empty restaurant and talked to each other. I have been to Ruth's Crist in FL and they are awesome. Definitely not my best experience with RCSH. Our server Bethany was great, but our meal was less than our normal experience. My wife and I both got filets with garlic potatoes and brussel sprouts as sides. Our steak did not arrive at our table sizzling. Big deal? No, but everything was only warm, not hot or piping hot. I asked for medium, got medium well. Didn't complain, as it was still tender and juicy, but a bit over done for myself. The potatoes and sprouts were merely warm, not actually warm. Dinner on February 4, 2024. Candace was our server. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, 5 guests total. The restaurant was not full. Waited for 10 minutes to be greeted or watered once we sat at our table. 4 starters came out and 8 minutes later mine arrived only after asking the food runner and the server. It was soup so I didn't understand the delay especially since my FIL also had the soup. Four entrees came out and my MIL had to wait for 8-10 minutes for her main. My main came without the side. It came so late we just boxed it up. Birthday desserts were brought out and we had to ask for the other 2 to be brought to the table. Needless to say the service was terrible. We waited at the table for 14 minutes for her to pick up the check and run the card so we could leave. We were there for 2 hours. I was so tired after I went straight to the room, no gambling for me that night. While the steaks were prepared perfectly and delicious as was the veal ravioli, the lobster bisque tasted like no other bisque I have ever had and not in a good way. The crab cakes were ok but nothing without the roumelaude which we were told you have to ask for. Weird you have it but don't serve it with the crab cakes or offer it when taking an order. The chopped salad used to be amazing, it was not. The cheesecake dessert tasted like it had been previously frozen. The meal and service were disappointing and we will not return which is a shame because my in laws go to Cherokee every other month. read more

My first time here, food was excellent. Lawdamercy how I loved my steak!! I ordered the steak fillet..? & itwas cooked well done to perfection, cutting through it was like a hot knife to butter, just easily sliced through. And tastes incredible with a burn crust to it but chewing it was like chewing bubble gum or something, it wasn't tough at all!! The asparagus was great also and the loaded baked potato was good also. Tasted the sweet potato souffle and I just want to have that by itself for dessert! It was so good and comforting...on to the lobster mac and cheese, this is new for me as I'm not a big lobster fan but I can say it was pretty OK. The crab cakes, I didn't get a chance to get any of that or the salmon (they were someone else's dish ) but I plan to come back and get the steak that sizzles at me! there were other things on the menu I need to come back for also! read more

No offer for anniversary dessert and although manager came to table 3 times about late food, offered NOTHING for the horrible experience. The wait is always over an hour, but only a third of the tables are utilized. The food is always great, but the service is the worst service in the history of restaurant service. It was Mother's Day and we were looking for somewhere special to enjoy dinner. Despite the holiday, we managed to score a reservation for our first experience with this chain restaurant. It was also the first time in over a year where we sat inside in a restaurant or entered a casino due to Covid. We were escorted to our table promptly and the waiter explained the ala carte options and the fixed price choices. We enjoyed an excellently prepared Sea Bass with grilled asparagus and lobster bisque and a tender steak and shrimp option with garlic mashed potatoes. Although neither were inexpensive it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. We finished with crepe brûlée and an excellent cheesecake. Service was phenomenal. Kudos to Bre and Dani behind the bar for equally taking care of me. Overwhelmingly hospitable and welcoming. The classic 3 course meal was really good. Filet and Shrimp cooked perfect medium rare. Small cheesecake was a perfect portion so I didn't feel like a fatty afterwards. Only complaint was your Lobster Bisque sucked. It's my favorite soup and this one wasn't great at all. Portion of the soup for $11 is also pretty stingy, but hey I guess it's a corporate thing. I will definitely come back and alter my starter.
