I have dined at several Ruth's Chris locations over the years, including Cancun, Hawaii, Palm Desert, and Anaheim, so I was excited to return to the Irvine location for a second visit. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. and headed to the host stand because we planned to sit at the bar. As soon as we walked in, no one greeted us. Instead, it felt like the hosts looked my boyfriend up and down and then greeted the guests who arrived after us. I can't say for certain why, but it honestly made us feel judged, possibly because my boyfriend was wearing jeans. Once we made our way to the bar, things didn't improve. We sat there for about 10-15 minutes without anyone greeting us, offering water, or taking our drink order. Meanwhile, the bartender continued checking on the gentlemen seated next to us while we were completely overlooked. When we finally ordered, we got a steak sandwich and a burger. It took approximately 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, another gentleman came in around 7:15 p.m., was greeted immediately, served wine, and received his steak before we even got our sandwiches even though he arrived well after we did.I do want to recognize Sally, who apologized and genuinely tried to make things right. We appreciated her kindness and professionalism. Overall, we left feeling like we weren't treated the same as other guests because we looked younger and weren't dressed the way the staff expected. Whether that was the intention or not, that's how the experience came across. Ruth's Chris has always been one of my favorite steakhouses, which made this visit especially disappointing. If you're deciding between Orange County locations, I would personally recommend the Anaheim location, where I've consistently had warm, attentive service

I love ordering from Ruth Chris's to go as they are always fast and the food quality is always fresh. However, I just am not a fan of going in to the restaurant. Im not sure if its because they are always busy and used to people coming in and out but the service is never truly enjoyable. The staff that assist in bussing have always been kind and attentive, but the last two servers assisting us could not seem more disinterested in assisting the table. But the service is not ALL that matters so my stars remain because the food is enjoyable. Absolutely love their shrimp cocktail.

Love coming here for happy hour. Our bartender, Rachel, was very nice and friendly. I had the blueberry mojito and it was very refreshing. The seared ahi was so DELICIOUS and the chicken sandwich and fries is big enough to split. Our main meal started with a Caesar salad and I enjoyed the dressing, and it had a nice amount of Parmesan cheese. I had the filet that came out sizzling and cooked perfectly medium rare. The side dishes, of mushroom, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, were yummy and wonderful side dishes. The berries and cream was a perfect ending. I highly recommend this restaurant. The place is clean and the service is always excellent. We will be back.

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night and it had a decent crowd. This place is similar to Houston's which is in the same area. I Had a salad, filet mignon with shrimp and for dessert I had a cheesecake to go. I love how the food came out sizzling on a very hot plate. The food is very good. The waitress we had was very attentive, always checking on us. Even with the parking structure, parking can be a little tough. But they do have Valet. I definitely recommend this place for any occasion.

Delicious 26 oz. Cowboy Ribeye cooked Medium+ to perfection!

I came to celebrate the Woman, Life, Freedom Movement and Free Iran. A big win today for the people living in Iran, liberated from their religious authoritarian cleric. I was seated in Pamela's section who was very hospitable and helped me select a glass of Belle Glos Pinot Noir. We discussed the menu and chose 26 oz. Cowboy Ribeye, Caesar Salad, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and the Chocolate Sin Cake. All were delicious and they neatly packaged the rest to take home. I felt very welcome even dining alone. Very cozy ambiance. Classy but not over-the- top. The steak was prepared as I asked Medium + and it was perfectly and tastefully presented on a very hot plate. The manager came by my table to say hello and make sure everything was to my liking. My celebration was memorable and I look forward for the opportunity to bring my relatives the next time!

Manager, Francisco what an excellent manager thank you

Had a wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris!! Francisco and Pamela were fantastic. Food was beyond delicious. Francisco suggested the sweet potato casserole. I'm over the moon about it. The asparagus and tomahawk steak were beyond delicious. Couple that with a martini and some delicious wine. This is the only place I choose to go out to eat for a delicious special meal. Food service beverages are all top-notch. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience once again.

Continue to love this location as it feels like a mini vacation since I make quite a drive past two other Ruth Chris locations to come here. The ambiance here is very intimate and the Christmas decorations feel so festive this year Service is straight up benchmark breaking from the hosts Cheri and staff, the manager Bill making us feel VIP every time, to Jared which made our entire dinner feel so special. Food - I love the cowboy Ribeye.... It's literally my all time favorite steak across all other steak houses. The marbling is perfect, the seasoning is excellent though a bit on the saltier side I honestly love and the lobster tails (small, jumbo, and the specials) are super fresh, and very meaty. Apple crumb dessert is gone and upgrades cannot be made on the Ruth classic specials which is probably first negatives in my patronage for the last 15 years. Still this doesn't take attention away from this location and will definitely be back again soon.

Had such an amazing experience at Ruth's Chris! We started off with the crab cakes -- I will say they weren't quite as crispy as they normally are, but still flavorful and definitely not bad at all. We got two of the 3-course meals for $60 and everything was absolutely delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the shrimp were amazing, and the creamed spinach was SO good. The mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and delicious too -- definitely one of my favorite sides. To top it all off, the desserts were yummy and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, such a great dining experience with delicious food and we'll definitely be back!

We celebrated at Ruth's Chris Steak House and honestly... it never disappoints. From the second we walked in, the service was on point. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and quick without ever making us feel rushed. That kind of consistency is exactly why we keep coming back. The tomahawk steak was unreal. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served sizzling just the way it should be. We had a margarita and a lemon drop martini, and both were made perfectly. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want with a great steak. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, they surprised us with the most amazing complimentary desserts to celebrate. Such a thoughtful touch, and honestly what sets this place apart. It made the night feel even more special and personal. The experience is the same: amazing food, great drinks, thoughtful service, and zero disappointments.

Always great service and quality. The atmosphere is nice, the servers know the menu very well, it's always enjoyable. I recently had the seared scallops. They were cooked just right and the brussels sprouts went well with them. Not pictured was the creme brulee. It was very smooth and delicious!

Mediocre steak. It was my birthday and my family decided to celebrate here since I saw that they had really good reviews. I really dislike how the restaurant is so dimly lit. I think it's just not my type of ambiance, and everyone is talking so it's so loud and dark. The tables are definitely all squished together. First, I asked for truffle crusted and instead got blue cheese. Secondly, we only asked for 2 desserts and received 3 instead because the server said he was going to "do me a favor" and added 3 to our bill. I mean, I said no but I just decided to not make a big fuss since it was my birthday. Would not come back to this location.

Thank you Ruth's Chris Steak House for a great birthday dinner experience! This was my first time dining here and I'm really glad we decided to try it. Ambiance: The vibe was perfect for a date night, family gathering, or if you just want to feel a little fancy for the night. The lighting was intimate, classy, and made the whole experience feel special. Definitely a 10/10. Food: The food did not disappoint! I ordered the 6 oz filet mignon with lobster and garlic mashed potatoes, and my husband got the New York steak. Both steaks were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly--we enjoyed every bite. For appetizers, I had the French onion soup and my husband ordered the BBQ shrimp. Even though I'm usually not a big onion fan, the soup was surprisingly really good. Dessert was the cheesecake plus a complimentary crème brûlée for my birthday, and both were delicious. Not overly sweet--just the perfect amount. Overall, the food was a highlight of the night. Service: This part was a bit mixed. My husband had an 8:30 pm reservation. When we arrived, we were told it would be a few minutes, which was totally fine--but we ended up waiting about 20 minutes and noticed other parties being seated before us, which felt a little odd given our reservation time. When my husband checked in with the hostess Cheri, her response came off a bit rude, saying there was a party ahead of us, which didn't sit right since it was already past our reservation time. That said, Angelo (I believe that was his name) completely turned things around. He seated us, wished me a happy birthday, and made sure we were taken care of--10/10 service from him. Our waiter Ben was also amazing. Even though he was clearly busy, he made sure everything came out correctly and cooked perfectly. Thank you, Ben, for the great service! Overall: Despite the rough start at the host stand, we still had a really great experience. The food, ambiance, and service from Angelo and Ben made up for it. I'll definitely be back soon

Yummy and great service! Everyone was very nice and the steaks were all perfectly cooked which typically does not happen for big parties. Fortunately they were all very tasty!

They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. They always do a great job with decorating when they have a new theme in effect, and the Great Gatsby décor is no exception. The room is filled with lots of gold streamers, hanging gold light fixtures, art deco artwork, Roman columns, etc. Reservations are highly recommended. We checked in at the host stand with Emma who was very friendly. She seated us immediately at the bar as requested. We enjoy talking with the bartenders and watching them make drinks. Ruben was our bartender and he was excellent in all aspects. I started out with Between the Sheets from the Gatsby menu (rum, cognac, orange, lemon, $18). Rum and cognac is a great combo. This cocktail is spirit forward and well balanced. She started out with a Bartender's Reserve (you call the spirit and flavor profile, and the bartender crafts something special for you, $20). She gave parameters of no hard liquors like whiskey or cognac, not sweet, and not refreshing (i.e. no cucumber). Ruben made the most amazing gin based cocktail. Some of the ingredients he mentioned were plum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and a bit of chartreuse and soda. It was complex and perfectly balanced, with great flavors. We have been here many times, and he even served it in a unique tiki mug that we've never seen here before. Now it was my turn to put Ruben to the test. I also wanted a Bartender's Reserve, and I told him to use any spirit as long as the drink focuses on banana or apricot flavor. He went to work, and after a short time a beautiful frosted glass was served to me. I forget all of the ingredients he mentioned, but it was rye based with banana liqueur, a small foam top, and fresh shaved cinnamon on top. The banana was perfectly present with the rye at a nice level. This was a home run all the way. Of course, she wanted another magical creation, and Ruben went to work yet once again. She was served a beautiful yellow cocktail, and he even hand cut a little lemon fish garnish. It was mezcal based with yuzu, elderflower, mango, and lime. It was perfectly balanced, the smoke was at the perfect level, and again it had a great mix of flavors. There was some left over, and he even gave that to her in a chilled side bottle with its own baby's breath flower garnish. It's so fun to watch their bartenders create something from scratch, grabbing various bottles, mixing, tasting, adjusting, and then garnishing and serving. In addition to Ruben's delicious creations tonight, Adrian and Sergio have also made us delicious custom crafted cocktails on several occasions. We will definitely be returning soon for some of their new upcoming themes.

Not to get your hopes up or anything, but he makes your visit to this speakeasy an elaborate and awesome experience. We came here for a dear friend's birthday, so I had no expectations of the place- we just went to celebrate him! One thing of note: vegans beware! Eat before you come here! Our only option is hummus. Came for the drinks though, not the food. The ambiance is dimly lit to create the intimate vibe and there was a Great Gatsby theme. Not sure how often they change the theme but we'll be back soon to find out. Espresso martini was delicious, Across the Bay was delightful, but the ABSINTHE drinks were INCREDIBLE. Green Beast and Love You Better. Thank you Sergio for making Joe's 43rd birthday an unforgettable one.

The ambiance was so cool with lots of Asian inspired decorations, total eye candy. The line for the drinks was a little long but went pretty fast and we were lucky to score 2 seats inside almost immediately. If not, you can stand around or sit on other little tables on their outside patio. You can view the drinks through a QR code, a wall menu or above the bar. The drinks were really good with fun names, it was hard to decide which I'd make my first! A great place to visit and enjoy a good drink.

If you have some time while browsing The Lab during the day, I recommend stopping by for a drink! It's also nice to include in your barhopping itinerary in the evening since there are a number of breweries around too. I've had mixed experiences with the bartenders. Luckily, the gentleman manning the bar during my most recent visit was very friendly. Drinks are always great. I've tried a variety of drinks from the menu here, but my favorites are: -Love in Drunk, a lovely cocktail with cucumber and grapefruit flavors that create a fresh watermelon taste when mixed together -Bee's Knees, short but strong and sweet -London Mule, very herbal thanks to the gin and very refreshing
