While in town we decided to celebrate my birthday here. We were greeted and asked if we had reservations. We did not, but they were okay with that. I'm guessing weekends you would want to have reservations, but it was a Tuesday night so we got right in. The hostess sat us and decorated the table to celebrate my birthday- that was so thoughtful and sweet. I like when restaurants are ready for these special events. They have cards that are signed by the staff to give to you also. Andrew was our waiter, very kind and relatable. We ordered 11oz. steak, au gratin potatoes, broccoli, and creamed spinach. The steak was spot on medium. The sides were amazing! I was not able to eat all my food, I expected the sides to be smaller, not a complaint just a little fyi for someone else. My husband had the creamed spinach and said it was really good. As a special bonus they send a Happy Birthday dessert to the table. The whole experience was wonderful. This is a franchise location!!! I can't believe I haven't done a review for this location yet. I go here often, and I have a great experience. I love that this locations offer a birthday deal whatever age you are turning is the percentage you get off your entree. Took my sister here for the first time for her birthday and she enjoyed the food. She had the stuffed chicken, which is my personal favorite. I had the filet mignon I had it medium well but it was well, I was kind of annoyed about that because when I order medium its so close to medium rare instead of medium and then medium well is well. I need that happy medium lol But overall great experience. The Caesar salad was good just too much Caesar dressing. The mashed potatoes are always creamy and delicious. Yes, there maybe more economical options available, but with those you will likely not experience the quality and experience. The steaks here can almost be cut with a fork, tender, juicy and always cooked to perfection. This is one of our go to spots for special occasions. Great service in an upscale but not not pretentious ambiance. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We shared a wedge salad, portions are large so salads and sides can be shared which is nice for couples or group. The salad was fresh, crisp and flavorful. We each had an 8oz Prime Filet, medium rare. Steaks were amazing with great flavor and taste. We dined at the Bar ( our preference) and our servers Nat and Matt were really cordial and attentive. A group of friends and I came here for my birthday. On our arrival, the table was decorated with little bits of confetti that said happy birthday. The service was awesome and our weight staff was very helpful. We started with the large seafood tower, which was amazing. The shrimp were giant and very flavorful. I had a hint of Sherry, which is my preference in a lobster bisque. Some of the people at my table got the surf and turf. I have not been to Ruth Chris in years, but the quality of food is still the same. For a party of six, we started with the calamari and crabmeat stuffed mushrooms. Our main courses consisted of the sea bass, crab cakes, stuffed chicken and a filet with a side of brussel sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes and french fries. We finished our meal with cheesecake, creme brûlée, and the chocolate duo. All of our dishes were great except the chocolate duo. The molten cake was spongy and the pot de creme did not taste fresh. We went here for my husbands birthday- one of the few restaurants that does it right! My lemon drop martini was excellent. Our server was amazing. We started with the goat cheese artichoke dip which comes with some toasted herb bread. I thought the starter was good, but if I had to give some feedback I would say to add even more goat cheese to it! Then I got the spring special which is a filet (I got the 11oz) and scallops over a bed of vegetables. The filet was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and had so much flavor!! Perfect size for me too. The scallops were also delicious! Seared perfectly. The only problem I had was that I think there was red bell pepper in the vegetable medley that the scallops were on.... and I'm not a fan of bell peppers. It was the first time our son had seemed totally relaxed in weeks. We were back at R/C for the first time in seven years, as he had requested having dinner there for his birthday. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. We ordered. Our son ordered his steak rare and the waiter repeated rare and specified "a cool, red center." Our son confirmed. I ordered mine medium rare. The waiter repeated medium rare and said "a warm, red center." I said yes. The soups and salad course was delivered by a runner. After the s&s was cleared, our waiter checked to see how everything was... He told us that our entrees would be out soon. The runner brought us our entrees and quickly departed. My steak had a warm, brown, hints of pink center, so I waited for someone to enter the dining room so that I could send it back. Nobody did. For twenty minutes. Perhaps everybody was working to serve the private party. I don't know. I don't care. If you can't serve the dining room because of a party, then close the restaurant for the evening because of the private event. Were it not for the butter on the plate, the steak would have been inedible. When someone did finally enter the dining room it was the manager. "How is everything?" I wanted to tell her to "Walk away." The next time we saw our waiter, he had our check in hand. Hadn't offered desserts. Just brought the check. What utter rubbish! There are so many other restaurants in the area, in walking distance that do better and deserve your business. Don't eat here! read more

Our experience at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse this past weekend with our family was our first one, and we can say that it ended up being a lot better than what we expected. Most of the food we had--and it was a lot--was tasty, but there was nothing that stood out and knocked our socks off. Their "New Fashioned" drink is delicious and the couple bottles of red that we ordered for the table were perfect for the meal. We started with some apps, and the calamari was probably the best one because they came out super crispy with a nice chili sauce that didn't overwhelm the plate/make them soggy. The tomato-mozz salad was pretty sad-looking, and didn't taste much happier; the Caesar was a basic bae, but no complaints. The harvest salad was more interesting, but again, nothing that'll knock your socks off. The artichoke dip was also the typical Applebee's fare that you see anywhere. Mains were a hodgepodge in terms of execution. The gumbo one of us ordered had a nice depth of flavor, but it was *barely* hot, so that was a disappointment. The filets that folks ordered were tender and toothsome, but the strip was tough and gnarly. Most of the sides were great: steamed broccoli and corn were the only ones that we tried but there were probably half a dozen more on the table that everyone else seemed to enjoy. We were a large party and service seemed to be run like a tight ship, which we appreciated, and there weren't any lags in dishes, which was impressive considering how much we ended up ordering. We were generously treated to dinner, so that's probably why this review is softer than it might normally be. We're happy that we got to try a Ruth's since we would never go of our own accord. My wife had a lobster tail along side her steak and she loved it. It's an easy place to visit given the steaks, seafood, wine list and don't forget the chop salad. We have dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouses at various locations many times. On this Occasion we rented the private room because we had a large family group. I have always regarded Ruth's Chris as one of the best and most consistent steak houses in the country. Not so much at this one. We did receive great service and the staff was very friendly. Out of 6 steak orders only one was cooked to the ordered temperature. 3 of us did ordered medium rare petite filets and were served to us from medium well to well done. Had I known that the petite filet was a very thin cut of filet I would not have ordered it. There is now way for them to run an improperly cut filet that size through an 1800 degree oven and get a medium rare finish. $1600.00 later, very disappointed. read more

A great steak experience for my dad's 70th birthday! Calamari appetizer and harvest salad were a great start to the meal. The sides were solid, our favorites being the lobster Mac and cheese and the asparagus. I got the bone-in NY strip steak which was very flavorful but if I come back I will definitely get the filet which is one of Ruth's specialties. They even had a fun birthday discount where the birthday person gets the % off their meal equal to their age! We also liked that it is not quite as dark inside as some steakhouses make it. read more

We chose Ruth's Chris for our anniversary dinner, and it turned out we chose well. The restaurant set aside a quiet table for us, and sprinkled it with some "Happy Anniversary!" sparkling confetti. (We also were treated to a complimentary cheesecake for dessert--see photo). A welcome like that was a pleasing sign, and nothing about the rest of the night disappointed us. Our server (who resembled a mid-career Martin Sheen) was very attentive, glad to answer questions, let us be when we needed to, always appeared just as our wine glasses emptied. I enjoyed just talking with him. My wife and I ordered the filet, mine full size, hers petite. They were excellent, tender and flavorful as you'd expect prime cuts to be. They did come a bit rarer than I would normally expect a medium or medium rare steak to be, though I don't consider this a problem. For sides, we chose the roasted brussels sprouts and sauteed cremini mushrooms. The sprouts were a little tough (a problem with that item at many restaurants), but the mushrooms were outstanding, earthy and buttery with just a hint of the garlic and herbs. One note about that "business casual" dress code (which is announced on the front door): it doesn't seem rigorously enforced. We saw diners in jeans and tank tops, and shorts and Hawaiian shirts. Maybe RC relaxes things a bit in summer, but I wouldn't rule out a visit here if you don't feel like dressing up. Not a cheap meal by any means, but we came away with no complaints. read more

This was our first visit to RCS on a Friday night. The week after Thanksgiving, we are sick of poultry, looking for a good steak at a restaurant we hadn't tried before. I made a 7:45pm reservation for Friday night, after Midnight Madness. The location isn't the greatest, across the street from the bus station, but parking is plentiful nearby. Beautiful dining room and bar. They have happy hour and I am looking forward to trying it sometime. The host took our coats and we were shown to our table. It was very comfortable, in the back corner of the restaurant - next to a 12 top where dad was ordering tequila shots for his 22 daughter's birthday dinner with her friends. It was very interesting. A bit annoying but entertaining. We were thankful that they left as we began our meal, but saddened at so much wasted food and drinks left behind. Just wow. What was remarkable was watching our waiter coordinate a team of assistants to serve this massive table, then return to us with out missing a beat. He was so professional and attentive - we could not have asked for better service. Back to our table - I ordered the ribeye with twin lobster tails, a glass of wine and the lobster bisque. It was all absolutely excellent. The steak was a perfect medium rare, the tails were not dry. Waiter brought out drawn butter. The sides were huge and very good. Scallops potatoes and corn. My husband loved his filet. We were about in a food coma with our heads on the table, when our waiter mentioned creme brulee to my husband. He couldn't pass it up. The coffee was my savior and a great suggestion while my husband enjoyed his treat. Along comes the check and in a wonderful surprise, the waiter comped our dessert for being patient having been put next to such a large party. He didn't understand why the host sat us where they did, but he was apologetic. I cannot say enough about our dinner experience. For the minor hiccup, there was a gracious apology. The Ruth Chris happy hour is very good. The drinks included have enough variety for a wide range of people to make a selection. The food included in the gappy hour ranges from a large and delicious hamburger to an Ahi Tuna appetizer. The happy hour is only from 5-6pm so it isn't very long. Overall it is very good. read more

This is what door dash delivered to me from Ruth Chris.. i contacted door dash to ask them to butterfly thE chops and to please not burn them to give me a baked potato with sour cream and butter and add chives, I only have chives a salad without bacon or goat cheese I requested in the harvest which shows that the lack of them got the request but ignored the ranch request the preparation of the lamb and finally the potato comes with butter and sour cream, I didn't get anyand ranch i didnt get the bacon or the cheese but also not ranch I look at the chops its has ruined my desire to ever have a lamb chop again. I have ordered from them enough until I do realize that they knew me, so this proves they no longer want my business. It is now our favorite steakhouse! The proximity to the parking structure made our visits even easier. Everything from the decor to the service is outstanding. Start with the lemon drop martini, then the seafood platter as an appetizer. It is the freshest seafood ever. You can't go wrong with the filet, mashed potatoes and the Au gratin. For dessert, go with the bread pudding and the collection of spirited creme anglaises . The Chambord version is particularly indulgent. There couldn't be a more romantic date location. read more

We made a reservation for our anniversary and had to wait about 15 minutes before our table was ready. We had a nice drink at the bar while we waited. The drinks were expertly crafted and nice and strong. There is a dress code at this restaurant so keep that in mind. We were sat in a room upstairs that contained only a few tables so it wasn't super loud. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. We started with salads, I can't remember what mine was called but it had tomatoes, mozzarella and balsamic. It was just perfect. Very tasty and the size was generous. We each ordered steaks. I got the filet and my husband got the bone in filet. Sides are a la carte and large enough to share. We had asparagus, corn, broccoli and potatoes. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Our steaks were cooked exactly the way we asked and mine was possibly the best steak I've ever had. They gave us a free piece of cheesecake for our anniversary and put some cute confetti on our table. Full disclosure: Our granddaughter works as a hostess at the restaurant. That aside, our dinner was superb. My wife had the filet and I went with the cowboy ribeye. Our excellent server, Amanda, recommended it as "the restaurant's most flavorful" steak and was she ever right. We began our experience with the spicy shrimp appetizer. In fact, it really wasn't "spicy;" more like delicately delicious. And not filling. So it set up the rest of the meal very nicely. Our shared Caesar salad was served on chilled plates. We both agreed that it's the best Caesar we've ever had. Anywhere. Amanda knew the menu inside out and answered our questions thoroughly. Her service was very friendly and professional, but not the least bit obsequious. She delivered a wry sense of humor along with our food. Obviously, you don't go to a first-rate steakhouse looking for a bargain. Ruth's Chris is undeniably expensive. Yet in most ways the food, the service and the overall warmth of the staff more than met our high expectations. So in that regard Ruth's Chris was an excellent value.
