I rented a camper to be delivered to the Walt Disney World campground. I made the reservation specifically for the camper to be delivered. At the gate to the campground, the camper was denied entry. Apparently, WDW only allows for campers to be delivered if arranged through one of their four preferred vendors. You can also bring a rented camper in to the WDW campground yourself. You cannot have it delivered. The WDW campground manager says that RVShare was notified of this some time ago. The owner of the camper was taken by surprise as much as I was. Thankfully, I was able to arrange for a cabin rental in the campground; otherwise, my family would not have had any place to sleep. The bulk of what I paid was refunded with the exception of a $40 delivery fee, a $50 cleaning fee, and taxes. I'm having to pay a cleaning fee for a camper that I never even saw the inside of! RVShare is having me duke it out with the camper owner, when RVShare is the one at fault. WDW could also have emphasized this rule more on the webpage, but RVShare should not arrange for a camper delivery to a place they've been told they're not allowed to. They should also notify camper owners. read more

This company is unreliable. I reserved my rv months in advance and even had rvshare send me confirmation emails and reminders about my upcoming trip. They charged my card the desposit and the full fee. The day I went to pick up the RV the owner said that he no longer owns the rv! Talk about a curve ball and terrible position that puts us in. If you are planning a trip be fair warned that the day you go to pick up the rv it may not even exist. read more

Omaha, Nebraska, The absolute worst experience ever! The water siding work. The rv smelled terrible and the cushions were torn. We couldn't use the RV, stayed in a hotel instead. Do NOT use this site. They are horrible. They do not coordinate with the owners of the RVs. This site is like VRBO, but for RVs but the worst of all. They take money from your account even after reservation is done. I made a reservation on the site for a specific RV on specific dates. Then i wanted to extend it for one more day for which i had the worst time of all as they were not coordinating anything well. After 5 hours of constant follow up i finally got the extension, but to my surprise they have changed me more than the whole 4 days trip. When i try to reach out to them they will just send me some bulls**. Its been more than 15 days i have been following up with them and on top my refund has not been returned yet. Save your self from this nonsense and book your stuff through Outdoorsy, far far better than this loose house. They owe me more than 800 dollars now. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! RVShare cancelled our paid in full reservation a day and a half before our trip. We were taking it to Faster Horses. We spent over 4 hours on the phone that night when we received the cancellation, then over 10 hours the following day contacting every owner in a 50 mile radius. We were paid in full and looking forward to our trip. There was nothing to protect us as renters, owners can cancel their reservation at any time! At first we weren't too worried, as it appeared there were many other RVs to choose from. Come to find out, the whole company is a sham! They show all this inventory, but none of the owners are active, so they don't respond to you, therefore you can't book their RV. DO NOT USE RVSHARE... you don't want your trip ruined like ours!! read more

Currently in dispute over a partial refund. RV owner Jered in Chatsworth with a winnebago was four hours late to pick up and four hours late to drop off. The rig was dirty, dog hair everywhere. Silverfish in the tub, we put towels over anything we sat on. Company is currently allowing a dispute to go back-and-forth and now since I won't remove my negative review, he won't give me a refund. NEW We booked an RV for our anniversary. Paid my deposit and we were set. 2 1/2 weeks prior to our reservation the whole house came down with COVID-19. I tried to cancel my reservation but was only refunded 1/2 of the amount paid. I understand there is a cancelation policy, but there should be a human element to consider as well. We had our family Come home internationally spending thousands of dollars. We had a trip planned and all our concert tickets and Airbnb booked worth 10,000$.The owner bailed on us on day of renting saying AC wasnt working and RV share said they will get us a priority booking and send some links to contact owner which turned out to be fake.They offered a paltry 200 dollars as a compensation which is ridiculous considering the effort and money spent.Worst thing is they wont even connect to manager.We are filing legal complaint for loss we incurred. read more

Zero stars if I could! The RV that we rented in Duarte, CA showed photos of a brand new 2021 Class C 30'. It was in fact a completely different rv when we arrived cross-country to California - the rv was falling apart and was actually a 2019 according to the VIN. The generator was so loud, it was unusable. The second dinette was broken and unusable. Several USB outlets didn't work.The refrigerator handle was broken and hard to open. It had not even been swept nor cleaned. The owner contacted me privately and asked to be paid on the side for Delivery, etc. The list goes on and on both about the rv and the owner. As if this wasn't bad enough, when I contacted RVShare regarding the misleading listing and dishonest, unethical owner, they continually directed me to the owner. I explained that I didn't want a refund or to discuss it with the owner, but that I thought they wouldn't want these types of lisings on their website - all to no avail. RV Share does NOT protect owners. My camper was damaged from a renter back in August. We have been going back and forth with RV Share, the insurance company and the renter since the moment we picked it up. Because our fix did not cost over $1500 insurance won't touch it, and since the renter is refusing to pay the $1300 bill, RV Share has completely dismissed us and are refusing to pay for the repair. They preach that their fee's are only 25% of bookings, but when you look at most of my bookings and do the pure math it comes to damn near 40% EVERY SINGLE TIME. Why am I paying them 40% to rent MY camper out if they DO NOT have my back? Owners should be considered partners. Without us, you wouldn't have the business you have. We keep the renters happy and coming back - YOU SHOULD HAVE OUR BACKS. Very disappointed and my campers are coming off of their site. read more

Owners of RV Share do not make sure the RV you rent is safe, or properly functioning. Rented a large RV locally, thinking this company would provide support if needed. WRONG!!! The RV had dry rotted tires, one of which blew out on I 95, after calling owner, we were left on our own to replace and pay for tire. The RV also did not have working rear lights, did not know until it got dark! There was also a horrendous smell inside as we were driving, later to be discovered a leaking Propane tank. We reached out to owner, asked for a refund, gave uss $300, but then charged our credit card for a "broken frig handle". RV Share was not helpful at all, no support, filling out a dispute form, not sure where that will get me. TERRIBLE, was put in dangerous RV, could have killed many people, oh and there was a flap on top not secured, would have killed someone if it blew off and hit another vehicle. reserved an rv and owner has 24 hours to accept and he cancelled but gave me some other dates. Chose another date and reserved, paid, and got confirmation of reservation. Then he cancelled because he had double booked. Asked rvshare if there was anything I could do and they said they would help me find another rv which I could do online. Booked and paid for an RV.. Our truck broke down. We canceled our trip and then a family member offered to let us use their truck. We contacted the owner of the RV and the RVSHARE to ask if we could get our reservation back. They said it would be fine. We re-reserved the same camper for the same dates within 15 minutes of canceling. I have an email where we where told there should be no additional charges from RVSHARE I also have an email from the owner of the RV saying he would talk to RVshare to make sure they don't charge me. They still charge me a second time. I had to dispute it with my credit card company and they removed the charge however RV share is re-billing me again after it was disputed once already. read more

The RV Share is a joke. The trailer owner J.H. owns 2 green Rpod in Redland is a joke. I booked a trailer on early of June for my trip on 6/27. The owner found out the water pump doesn't work on 6/23 and cancelled my booking 4 days before my trip. He cancelled it without any explanations. I had to call him to find out why. 6/23, he offered me another his unit which has poor condition with a discount. I accepted his offer. However, lie to RV share and claimed we have arrangement that BOTH of us arrange to upgrade insurance? So the trailer has poor condition that's why I need pay more for insurance? Again, I raised the question. The owner had no respond, then next morning, he cancelled my booking again without any explanation. Will RV Share customer service help? Hell no. read more

We rented an RV paid for extra insurance through them and took it on the road. We had almost no help in how to use the RV it looked very different from what it was pictured as looking much less nice and had a hole in the side. We ended up putting a crack in a cubboard as we put the slide back in in incorrectly as we were not taught how to do it. The insurance they told us to buy through them did not cover it apparently it does not cover the inside. They took our 1000 deposit and our thtee day trip cost is 1500 dollars. We will never rent from them again. I strongly advise that you do not rent through them go with a company like cruise America who covers you completely with insurance. read more

We got a blowout on the way to AR, between Amarillo and Oklahoma City. I called the RV Share Road Assistance number and the gal I talked with was useless. She asked me a bunch of questions, then said "We can't locate you." "Do you have anything to change the tire with" (SERIOUSLY? It will take a pneumatic wrench to get this tire repaired you idiot!). "If I send you a link on your phone, can you pin it so we can find you?" This went on for over an hour and a half. I asked for her supervisor, she said she'd give her sup. the message. We all know where that went. While we were calling everyone under the sun, a guy called from that company. Same stupid questions and he was useless as well. We finally called 911 because technically, we were stranded there. The 911 operator gave me two phone numbers in about 30 seconds. After it was all said and done, we lost 7.5 hours of time, and I never made it to my "once in a lifetime" event that I rented the RV for in the first place. The owner of the RV said that someone rented it two weeks earlier and had the same problem with this company and he limped it down the road and paid to have it repaired himself. I wasn't so lucky. The other tire would have blown out if I tried to do that. Turns out the owner had the wrong tires on the RV. They were standard pickup tires. Not tires to support a 14,500 lb. RV. Check out the reviews before you rent and do your homework. I'm sorry I didn't. I posted this on RV Share on FB and they took it down. AND RV Share isn't BBB accredited. read more

Like most of these tech based startup companies, there is no one that will actually talk to you. to be quite honest with you i tried to reserve a tow rv with 15 different owner and i got no response. so i contacted customer support and they were no help! do use rvshare to reserve your rv . use outdoorsy very quick response from owners and website wasn't very interactive for customer.... all it is good for is getting your credot card information and trying to bill you without and owner contact or confirmation..... dont wate your time as i did for 24 hrs++++..... good luck if you do they suck read more

I wish that I had seen the other bad reviews before I rented from this company. I planned an entire trip, including non-refundable prepaid activities along the way, and the owner canceled my reservation shortly before my trip, within the window when I would have been required to forfeit my entire payment had I been the one to cancel. I suspect he cancelled because he thought he could get more money renting to someone else since the demand is so high. I certainly was faced with paying more to rent an equivalent unit on short notice to replace the one that he cancelled. At a minimum, they need to make it very clear on their website and in their Terms and Conditions that the owner can cancel at any time without any penalty. read more

CONSUMER ALERT: DO NOT USE RVSHARE!!!! STAY AWAY!!! We rented an RV in August 2020 through RVShare. The RV we rented turned out to be a LEMON. Its hot water heater was broken, which meant dreadful COLD showers for the rental duration. The owner of the RV also did not do a proper equipment check prior to handing over her RV to us, so we had to learn the hard and unpleasant way that she failed to provide a CRITICAL piece of equipment that allows us to hook up to water. We ended up obtaining the equipment piece ourselves. Additionally, the RV was not as advertised (no navigation in reality, TVs did not work, and to boot, the RV drove horribly on the road. It needs new breaks, and an alignment for sure. Our arms and legs were sore from the way we had to hold firmly the steering wheel, as the RV pulled to the right aggressively and we had to press the pedal hard to the floor in order for the RV to slow down/stop). The RV was also full of cosmetic and safety issues. The front windshield had cracks in it, the side mirror had a crack in it, the oven was filthy/dungy and even wall paper in various parts of the RV was peeling off the walls, to name a few issues. There were plenty more, but you get the gist. Overall the experience was awful. In my opinion, a renter expects to receive a fully-functional RV (especially as described on the listing), and no hot water makes it uninhabitable frankly. We did not get what we were paying for as a fact. When we returned the RV (we did complain along the trip duration), we submitted a formal dispute, as allowed through RVShare. The owner and renter first try to come to an agreement (financially) but we couldn't, and so RVShare then took over the dispute to remediate the case. They sided with the owner, and we did not get a penny for compensation for our frustration and suffering. As such, I give RVShare a shameful one star rating. The conclusion of the dispute was sickening. Bottom line, the owner knew how to work the system and falsified information to make her case look good. She downright lied, and despite tons of supporting evidence we submitted for the dispute to prove all that went wrong (videos, photos, copies of text messages, summaries of phone calls, etc.) we got zilch. To me, that is unacceptable and disgusting. RVShare needs the owner for repeat business, so perhaps that is why they sided with her. Otherwise, our case was solid and a slam dunk that we should have received some form of compensation for our rental of a LEMON. The owner and RVShare really upset us. We will NEVER use RVShare again. We will also spread the word around about our poor experience. We were wronged, and for that, I remain very angry. read more

Negative stars. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY IF YOUR RESERVATION GETS CANCELED!!! No headaches overage charges or dumping charges or extra charges by scammers like RV share and their owners. You might as well rent from a third world country since customer service is not existant. Consumers are charged for anything that goes wrong on their trip even though it is not their fault. Not to mention shoddy owners find ways to charge customers for pre-existing damage. The owner Liam Murphy erased my RV share review on their website and website would not allow me to write an actual review about my experience. I have a similar experience to other reviewers in that they scammed me and took $700 which I did not recieve anything for. Never use their website. I got RV share to take my balance down to $600 and they refused to go after the owner for lying to me about the weight of his trailer. So I took the owner to court and won $435 of it back. So out about $200. There are class action lawsuits against this company for favoring their owners in a somewhat phony dispute process. Also bad BBB reviews about this sham of a company who is in the least bit consumer friendly. Stick with companies like outdoorsy and be scrupulous in how you choose owners at other third party platforms. It will make a huge difference. read more

I attempted to rent an rv from 3 different owners. After waiting for many hours for a response from the owners I called RVShare's call center. I was told they would contact the owners to ask them to respond. No response ever came. 3 times my reservation request expired with no response. A big waste of time to say the least. My family and I rented an RV through RVShare over two months ago. At first the owner claimed that she never received her deposit through RVS and due to this, she was 4 hours late in dropping off the RV. We are now trying to get our security deposit back and RVS is holding our $2,000 deposit as the owner is claiming we put a scratch on an RV that had 3 prior accidents in the past year. Obviously the owner we rented from is not to be trusted, but it's in a situations like this that we as renters need RVS to intervene. They have not. I am now working with the Better Business Bureau. If that doesn't work, I'll need to hire a lawyer. Do yourself a favor and try another site. RVShare will not have your back. read more

We were literally locked out of our RV because of a malfunctioning door latch that had been working just fine during the previous days. The worst part about that was that was that our phones, identification, money, food, water, car keys, jackets, and emergency contact information were trapped on the inside with us trapped out. To make things worse, it was a late December sunny day that had briefly gotten warm so we were in short sleeves. Since we had no choice we started walking to seek someone kind enough to use their phone. As you might imagine, not everyone was helpful. Finally, as was cold and getting dark, we were able to get a locksmith to force the door open and paid him around $450 for the service. The RV owner refused to reimburse us even though we gave him the receipt and he could submit the charge to his insurance for coverage. The RVShare "mediation" was a sham. It wasted hours of my time, resulted in no reimbursement, and took more than the two weeks allowed for leaving a review. RVShare is not a reputable company that has many complaints with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Be sure absolutely sure to take pictures of your rented rv when you get it and before you drop it off. Report anything going wrong with your rv asap. We just rented one out of the Asheville area. Got on the road, otw to Florida and the connector where the flusher to the toilet is just starting leaking all over our luggage. The shower was spraying out at the base when I tried to use it at our rv park and the kitchen sink hose popped out as soon as we tried to use it. The outside stereo didn't work, over half the ceiling lights were out. The outside light didn't work either.. When he was doing his walk through we got to where you empty the septic and there was a whole piece of pipe missing, he said "oh no that's not good" I gotta send my brother to Lowes. We waited in his office for 2 hours for them to get the part and fix it.Then when we returned the rv the guy ripped the cabinet off the wall and took all the bedding out of the rv to take pictures said we broke all the plumbing in the rv broke the cabinet and stole there bedding. We brought our own blankets why would we want to take theirs!? We had 6 kids with us I barley had time to think to take care of myself let alone take pictures or video everytime a piece of plumbing flew all to hell we had no service at the campground. Do your self a favor and take lots of pictures and videos if your having issues with your rv. read more

In the end here is what we have; for a two-night trip we were stranded on the side of a major interstate for 3 hours due to a tire blowout with RVShare's 24-hour roadside assistance telling us to find our own help. A normally 2 hour initial drive took 7 hours. After the trip we are told by RVshare that we now have to pay an additional $1,580.00 for additional damages caused to the RV as a result of the blowout. Also we were accused of breaking and charged for existing issues with the RV, most notably the power stairs. So, our two night $200/night trip resulted in 9 hours of driving and fixing an RV and will cost us about $1,000.00/night. If you want the details on how this came to be as well as my reviews on the customer service and owner interactions, please read on. Do not suffer the same fate we did! Absolutely terrible experience all around. The point of this review is to hopefully help others avoid the same fate we had so they can enjoy their hard-earned vacation! We suffered a blowout while driving on the highway on what ended up being a 7 hour drive up to our destination (normally a 2 hour drive). Cell service was spotty in the area, but I immediately called roadside assistance and they said they would try to find someone to help and text me the details and ETA. An hour later I had heard nothing, so I called 24 hour roadside assistance back. Bear in mind my calls were rarely going through, so I ended up talking to 3 or 4 different people, and was trying to explain as quickly as possible our situation before getting disconnected. Like so many of the reviews on here have stated; 24 hour emergency assistance said they couldn't find anyone to help us, and we should try to find our own help! I attempted to call around and finally got enough cell service to get through to a tire shop and they informed me I'd be safe to drive the 10 miles to their shop, but they closed in 10 minutes so their employees would have to work overtime and the charges would be higher. At this point what choice did we have? We were stranded on the side of the road, myself, wife, two kids, and two dogs, so other than leaving the RV on the side of the road this was our only option. We drove and got a new tire ourselves and carried on with our trip. Fast forward to the end of the trip and we return the RV with no issues. A few days later I'm told the owner is charging me $1,580.00 in damages as a result of the blowout and existing damage! Again, like so many of the reviews on here we went through their process and RVShare has decided that we are responsible for all the damages. My $500.00 security deposit is gone and now the owner of the RV is taking us to small claims court to collect the rest. RVShare predictably wants nothing to do with any disputes and will choose any middle of the road decision they can to keep everyone happy. Customer service through RV Share is a complete joke. I tried to call multiple times and even waited on hold for 2 hours before being forced to receive a call back...which came 5 hours later. The live chat option works a little faster, but the representatives are clearly over worked and just tell you that they'll get back to you with your inquiry. The only positive customer service experience was during the dispute process the dispute specialist was decent about answering my questions in a timely manner. If you still choose to go through with using RVShare, which I do not recommend, I would suggest documenting EVERYTHING! The RV we rented was 11 years old and had myriad issues which were not discovered until we began our trip. This ranged from shower doors not closing properly, to the outdoor shower not working at all. All of this sounds very minor, and it is until you get charged and accused of breaking them! Also get a copy or take a picture of the pickup and return forms as the owner added extra damages (Power stairs, and damage due to the blowout) to the return form AFTER I had signed off on the return. Your safest bet is to pay the extra money and choose a service with a fleet of vehicles like Cruise America. read more

DO NOT USE!!!!! Really, really bad service!!! I wish I had looked up these reviews before using them. Be aware, they take your money then the nightmare begins. First they will send you an email with a link and steps you need to follow to supposedly verify your identity, but the link DOES NOT WORK!!! So I had to download a QR code scanner app in order to do the 'verification'. It then took me to a link where they ask to upload a picture of my ID (front and back) and a SELFIE!!!!!! Yes, they demand your selfie after they already took your money. Once I sent those in, I got an email back that they couldn't confirm due to the quality of the picture. I own the latest gen phone and chose the best spot in the house just so I would be done with it, and yet wasn't good enough. I then called them and, after tired of waiting, finally spoke to a representative. As I explained what I was going through, he told me they have thousands of customers that easily follow this process without complains. Good luck keeping their thousands of customers, I'm never using this service again!!! read more
