I am so incredibly pleased with all aspects of my pup's time there since she was 5 months old. Her personal favorite human of all time is Gabe whom is in charge of her pack. He is incredibly timely for pickups and dropoffs, gives wonderful training advice when asked and my pup genuinely adores him - she quite literally hears his van coming and runs to the gate to meet him. My dog Casey has been using Ryland and his crew for walks for the past 2 years and it has been amazing. When we first heard about Ry he was extremely quick and responsive and promptly came to evaluate if Casey was a good fit for his group hikes, dog walks, and daycare. Casey is a naturally shy dog around other dogs and doesn't really like aggressive play groups. However, my wife and I both work in person and were looking for a fun daycare for him that would wear him out (he is pretty high energy) while also providing a calm environment that would fit his personality. The whole set-up was perfect and Casey got along great with the other dogs Ry takes care of as I think Ry and his team do a good job reinforcing good behavior amongst the pack. The service and dependability of Ry and his team is outstanding. The pick-up and drop-off element was pretty key for us since we work in person and the team is extremely consistent and usually shows up at the same time every day. Ry and his crew are very responsive by text and will often send group pics of the daily walk (and I have no idea how they get all the dogs to look at the camera...see pic below). Ry is also great for boarding as well and Casey always has a good time when he stays over (which isn't usually the case when he has stayed with other sitters in the past). I was looking for someone to take care of our golden doodle when I started fellowship at Stanford and they were more than disappointing. They never picked up their phone and responded sporadically to email. When I asked to visit their facilities they denied my request saying it would disturb the tranquility of the dogs. I stated to them that their response seemed sketchy and asked to see photos of the facility where they held the dogs and their response was "I'm sorry that sounds sketchy to you, You can always go check out our google and yelp reviews if you're having any doubts. My boyfriend and I chose to use Ry the Pet Guy for 4 days of daycare for our dog, Jeff, when we went on vacation for a week. There are several reasons we won't be using this service again, and we hope that those reading this review will take our experience into consideration when choosing whether to use Ry's services. 1. I communicated with Ronny, Ry's assistant, when setting up daycare arrangements. While Ronny was generally friendly and communicative, there was a clear breakdown in communication. I pre-paid $240 for 4 days of daycare and sent detailed instructions stating that we were out of the country, providing my mother's phone number, and providing our garage code. I provided this information twice and got confirmation from Ronny that it was received. The first day of day care, they called my cell (instead of my moms) while I was out of the country, to tell me that they were waiting outside for Jeff. I had to remind them of the garage code and to communicate with my mother if anything went wrong. This happened again, where they called me asking for the garage code, which at this point, I had provided 3 or 4 times. 2. Most significantly, they forgot to pick up Jeff for two days. Again - this was pre-paid and confirmed several times. My mother came home after a day of work, assuming that Jeff had been taken to daycare. However, upon arriving at our house, she quickly realized he hadn't been picked up given how wild he was being and how much he had to go to the bathroom. Let me reiterate that Jeff was left home alone for 12 hours a day for 2 days. I contacted Ronny and asked whether Jeff was picked up the last 2 days, and Ronny confirmed that he wasn't. The response was that there was a miscommunication and they apologized. Needless to say, we were extremely upset at the lack of communication and disregard for our dog. That said, Ry refunded us for the 2 days that Jeff was not picked up and an additional day. While we appreciate the quick refund, reliability is paramount when it comes to our pets, and the situation that transpired just demonstrated the lack of professionalism and communication within the business. This is not to speak badly about the competence of the individual employees or the care that they provided for Jeff while he was at the facility, but only to the lack of communication within the company and lack of reliability. Hopefully pet owners will heed this warning before choosing Ry the Pet Guy. read more

I have been sending my pup to this local business for over a year now. He loves it SO much. When he hears the doorbell ring, he wags his tail so hard he almost knocks himself over. While we don't always get the same person each time, my dog seems so comfortable with each of them. Edward has a calm style and has taken the time to give me lots of tips on how I can be a good leader to my dog. And Gabe always greets my pup and I with the biggest smile-- he is so genuine and kind. My crazy dog jumps up gleefully when he sees him, but sits down like magic when Gabe asks him to. We are so lucky to have found Ry and his crew. While I feel a little guilty sending my pupper out a few days a week when I'm off at work, the tail doesn't lie. It's clear from the crazy wags that he couldn't be happier to go for a playdate. We tried Ry the Pet Guy services a couple of years ago when we were living in the Bay Area, the dogs LOVED him and his team. It was great, they would pick the dogs up in the morning and bring them back happy and tired most afternoons. They were willing to administer medications and could bathe them before bringing them back. We left the Bay Area last year and recently returned for a work trip. Ry and his team took care of the dogs for a couple of days while we took care of business. When we left the dogs were super happy :-). Our dog, Zita, had some behavior issues when we first met; Ry was honest with us about what he was observing, talked about how he thinks about training and obedience, and took extra time to coach us and help work on those things.
