We found them after almost being…read moretaken by a ride for the cost of entirely new air conditioning unit by Len the Plumber Heating and Air. Instead of being conned we called Tom at Universal. He was absolutely wonderful. Came out the next day after our air conditioner stopped running. He easily diagnosed the problem as a bad motor and tried to call his supplier on the spot because if he could get the motor same day he would install it. He wasn't able to get it that day but went on to order it for us. Didn't even charge for the initial visit. He quoted us $1600 for the motor and the install. I put the price here because the first HVAC company we called tried to tell us the motor would cost $3000 and wouldn't guarantee a fix and tried to tell us it was not cost effective to even put one in. When the motor came in Tom quickly called us and returned to install it. He charged the exact $1600 he quoted. Not a penny more. He was pleasant to work with and knowledge. As of now the air conditioner is running great and the blower motor comes with a one year warranty. I will be using his services in the future and hope others will too.

We had to hire a lawyer to get them to finish…read more Initially, we were delighted with Seal the Deal. Their quote was a good price and they even found a better plan for the install that cost us less money. The install was great; the township inspector actually said it was one of the cleaner installs he'd seen. We love our new heat pump and everything is working great. If we'd stopped there, this would be a five star review. However, they still needed to fix a couple of things, remove our old oil tank and give us the purchase information for the warranty on the system. At that point, all communication stopped. They did not respond to phone calls or texts for several months until, on a hunch, I called them from a different number. One of the owners actually picked up, PRETENDED TO HAVE PHONE PROBLEMS, and hung up on me. At that point, we hired a lawyer. It took more time, but eventually they did make good on their promises. And, to be fair, they didn't ask for the remaining money we owed them but we had to pay the lawyer so financially it was a wash for us. To sum up: install-fabulous, aftercare-absolutely terrible. As it is, I would not recommend Seal the Deal unless they get someone else doing the scheduling.

I didn't catch the primary gentlemen's name but he did tell me he was the son of the owner. He was so engaging and informative explained possible issues and once it was diagnosed got the heater fixed. They were here a little under 2 hours. He was honest enough to explain that I shouldn't waste anymore $$$ repairing this heater by explaining the life span and what my next steps would be. I'm totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

I've called these guys twice now…read more First time, my pilot light was refusing to light on my hot water heater. I know how to restart it but it wasn't working, they pointed out that dust buildup was preventing it and fixed it in no time. They didn't charge me for this quick fix! Second time, my frost free hose broke because I ignorantly did not disconnect it in the winter. They fixed it at a great price and explained why you need to do this in detail, I really appreciate that. I can't recommend these guys enough. There's always this fear that you'll get taken advantage of when you have to call service people, you won't have that fear with Hophan Brothers.
