We've been to Ryebelle's many, many times since they've opened, and they've become our favorite restaurant in St. Joe. The ambiance is excellent. We enjoy going for drinks and for dinner. Their drinks are pretty expensive but the bartenders are great and they have a decent draft beer selection. We've tried the calamari, which comes with a delicious sauce with plenty of horseradish; the firecracker shrimp, which I can't imagine anyone EVER having leftovers of; the scallops with lemon buerre blanc, which are my absolute favorite; and the house pizza, which my husband swears by. The service can be a little hit or miss, but the location, the view and the food should make up for it. There was a brief period of time when they were transitioning chefs where the food quality really suffered, but I think it's back to being top-notch. read more

Visiting for a week I met up with several friends at the restaurant. It was Labor Day weekend so waited a few minutes at the bar for a table. Being from Florida I was skeptical about ordering the scallops but at someone's recommendation I went for it. They were excellent. Great service and good food. Deserves 0 stars. Tried coming here twice (Friday night and Saturday). Both night arrived right at 10. Hostess was told my some Doogie Howser wannabe that the kitchen was closed as she was preparing to seat us. Probably should communicate that info to your front desk if that's the case on a busy Sat night when there's still Tables waiting for food within view of the door. Definitely use the NoWait app for getting a seat on the rooftop. Hope that your timing is lucky enough to see the sunset. Order the bruschetta or caprese and whichever seasonal beer is on tap! Service is always friendly. Appetizers seem to take way longer than you'd expect, but worth the wait. Entrees come with large salads that are plenty of food on their own, plus a side - so save belly room, or split your order amongst the table. read more

Went for dinner. Had to wait 45 minutes to sit, but didn't mind since the view is spectacular. There is also a live band on the other side to help pass the time. The staff is personable and professional. Our waitress, Carrie was very nice and provided recommendations. All dinner entrees come with side salad which is plentiful, rice or potatoes and vegetable. We ordered the firecracker shrimp appetizer, delicious! A little spicy, but not runny nose hot. I ordered the blackened grouper with easy spices and it was OK. Probably wouldn't order again. Overall, the restaurant is a good choice, but probably stick with some of the simpler items like salad and appetizers. Been here twice since they opened a month ago...first time with girlfriends for drinks and the drinks were great. 2nd time with the fam and it was good...spin/artichoke app was a bit too think/rich but the bread they served with it was delish. The chix noodle soup was very good and tasted homemade, my son loved it. Kid's meals were on point. Had to send my scallop dish back bcz they were undercooked, but had they been done right, would have been an excellent dish. Husband had the grouper...the seasoning was a little too spicy and charred, but the grouper was so good...was a little disappointed that the fish was served on the same flatbread as we had with our app...wish waitress would have made mention so we could have had the choice to get the sammy on diff bread...oh well, know for next time. Drinks were really good...a little pricey for St. Joe but whatevs... Ambiance is wonderful and bar is great...definitely a fan and will be back! Support your downtown, St. Joe! We were at the restaurant last night. The menu was much more limited that what I have experienced in the past ( Covid related?). We ordered the steak special. The waitress told us we could only get the steak cooked one way (medium rare) because it was the only way the chef would cook it. So we had the steak and potatoes. The steak was extremely rare and the potatoes were watered down so that they ran across the plate. The whole meal was covered with a horrible mushroom gravy sauce. All in all a horrible meal. The the two steaks with two beers each for my wife and I was 150.00 with tip. Really not worth it. Side note, service was most excellent. Will not be back for awhile. read more

We had an early dinner here one night. I went upstairs and peeked at the beautiful rooftop deck overlooking the lake, but it was hot and we had our 5 month old with us so we decided to stay in the air conditioning. I imagine on a cooler day, that would be a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. They only had a few beers on tap, but it was a nice sort of something to please everyone kind of selection and my husband was happy. He had a burger with fries and I had the steak sandwich and fries which was cooked to a delicious medium rare and came with a horseradish mayo that was really good. My one critique would be that even though our waitress was really friendly and good she seemed almost frantic. We were seated at the first table by the door and just saw waitstaff SPRINTING by from every direction. However...the key items food and drink were the weak parts...food sounds great, but disappoints from a flavor perspective. One of the most consistent and delicious places for an upscale lunch and dinner in Saint Joe. The prices are a bit high if you are not used to resort town pricing - however their pricing is exactly inline with other establishments and the quality is better. Come her for delicious American fare, with a variety of options from seafood to pasta to fancy pizzas. Great food. Came today memorial weekend, 1 hour wait but flew by since they took my number and called me when a table was ready, so I went shopping at nearby boutiques. Food was very tasty. Service was good. Had delicious Mediterranean pasta w chicken no bread though. Hubby had steak sandwich with fries, good. Daughter had grilled chicken sandwich it was fair, no children menu, not good. Spinach artichoke dip was fabulous. Martini, yummo. This was our first visit and after visiting the website expected a great dinner. We were pretty disappointed in the actual dinner as my husband and I both ordered New York Strip (medium rare) and mine came done correctly but my husbands was 'well done' - over cooked. He showed it to the server and she was very kind and got him another one - her name was Jen and she was a great server. (Problems with the food was not her fault) The drinks we had at the bar before our meal were really good but not consistent. I had two martinis made by two different bar tenders and they were totally different. (But both good) When we went to our table we had great appetizers - calamari and ahi tuna prepared perfectly. The food, service and views tonight were beyond exceptional. We had the lake perch and asparagus with a side salad. We felt like it was just caught, picked and brought to the table. So fresh, no extra sauces to mask the natural taste. The homemade red pepper dressing was superb. Loved having our beer in frosted mugs in an outdoor setting. So tired of plastic these days. This is a great place to go on a date, or to meet up with friends. I have had great experiences every time I've gone. There is usually a wait, but nothing ever too long. Their pizza is awesome, as is their humus. Also, the blueberry drop martini (at least I think that's what it's called...) is delicious. --Just got done eating here, Mary was our server and she did a fantastic job, she was super friendly and took great care of us. --Because of the packed crowd we started our night at the bar and were helped promptly by the bar tender where we ordered a Margarita Pizza absolutely incredible tasted so fresh and perfectly heated/cooked and as soon as a table opened up the hostess took us to our table where Mary immediately started us off with drinks. -- After we ordered very soon afterwards our food was delivered my wife had the Mediterranean Pasta and absolutely loved it I had the shrimp basket, the coleslaw was excellent and I don't really even like coleslaw the fries were superb and the shrimp was fresh, juicy fried but not too greasy. --Overall I would highly recommend RyeBelles to anyone visiting St. Joe, I know we will for sure frequent here often. read more

Beautiful views of the lake and live music on the rooftop make for a special dining experience whether it be with friends, family or on a date. Their draft beer selection is great with a nice mix for all palates. Their menu is also well diversified. Came around 5:30pm with my wife on a warm & sunny Thursday evening in late May. Were seated on rooftop with no waiting. Took a while to order since they were out of first choice (walleye). Food arrived (lake perch for her, pizza for me) by 6:30pm, just as live music began (girl playing classic & alt rock covers on guiter and singing). Food was good, if a bit overpriced. View of lake is nice, but sun protection is modest at best - bring sunglasses and maybe sunscreen and a hat. Stayed longer than a normal dinner to enjoy ambiance without rush from staff. Rooftop deck is great!! Beautiful view of Lake Michigan, particularly at sunset. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food menu is good, with the exception of the salads. We ordered a Caesar and a Southwest, and I would not order them again. Salad dressing was absolutely terrible on both. Otherwise, their sandwiches and burgers are very good. Had a very lovely time at RyeBelle's on the roof for many reasons. The view from the rooftop was so beautiful. The best and most magical part of our experience was our waiter Alex. He had such class and charisma. My husband and I were both very amazed by his personality and kindness. He was humorous but also so classy and dignified. Was here for dinner last weekend and forgot to post a review. First, I highly recommend the rooftop for dining. Go a little later for the amazing sunset view! They also had live music on the deck which will get your feet tapping along. The waitstaff is helpful, friendly and they know their menu. The bar has a nice selection of local wines and I suggest the Demi Sec for white wine lovers. For dinner, I had the scallops and they were to die for! Perfectly cooked and delicious!! Served with asparagus and garlic mashed, it was a great meal. My hubby had a steak that was also cooked perfectly and had great flavor. (We share!) The food was absolutely awesome. There were a lot of great selections on the menu to choose from. You won't go home hungry. This is one of the few really great restaurants in the area. I can't wait to get back there. read more

I'll just get to the point: Atmosphere 5, upscale decor with a cozy fire and window seat with view of lake. We've been meaning to try Ryebelle's for the past two years and finally got the chance. We went for dinner on a beautiful Sunday evening so a view of the lakefront was definitely on the menu for us. We waited about 30 minutes for a table and were seated right on the railing and had a wonderful view. We tried two appetizers - asparagus tempura and goat cheese and they were both really good. The tempura was light and wrapped around thick and tender Michigan asparagus with a wasabi dipping sauce that had just the right kick to it. For our entrees, our party had the mediterranean pasta, the spinach salad and burgers. Everything was delicious. The portions were a good size - overall, I thought the prices were very reasonable. A must have - their "Drunken Artie" speciality cocktail. It's made with their own vodka infused sweet tea and lemonade - awesome! read more
