This is a special place in the Boulevard Inn. We were staying there and wanted a good restaurant; who knew the best restaurant in town was in our hotel. We had a table with a slight view of the lake. Food was excellent. Rarely see a Romesco sauce on a menus, it was amazing. The waiter was nice, and informative. For an upscale restaurant the one thing they could improve is Service. Our salad came before our cocktails and we had to ask for fresh cutlery for our entrees. Would also prefer table cloths, rather than a bare table.

I stopped in for some eggs benedict and potato pancakes, both very good. Service was friendly, as usual. I forgot I had a draft here of a review I never posted from another brunch as well. It looks like they have now added a side salad to the menu. No dessert at brunch though, so that is a bummer, and they don't have fresh orange juice. Just Tropicana. December 2023 I was here recently for brunch. I tried the Caesar salad and biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very spicy, a bit too much for me. Eggs were well cooked. I do wish they had a side salad. The salad was huge and I could not take it home because they dressed it. It was more of a vinaigrette than real Caesar dressing, and there was not enough for the salad so I requested more. It tasted ok though. Service was friendly and I like the decor inside.

One of the best meals I've ever had! Would definitely recommend this place if you want a very nice dinner out. The service was fantastic and the ambience is very intimate. If you want a fancy night out with amazing food and service, this is your place!

While I was visiting St. Joe's, I was looking for a fine dining experience on Google and Bistro on the Boulevard popped up as a recommendation with multiple 5-star reviews. I booked a reservation for Saturday evening for 4 (and a baby under a year old) and the dinner was all I could hope for! The handcrafted cocktails were refreshing and the entrees were amazing. We ordered a few apps before dinner- spinach and artichoke dip, bread service, honey cauliflower, and the grilled shrimps- all were delicious! The restaurant was quiet with ample seating and a relaxing ambiance. I'm looking forward to my next dinner at Bistro on the Boulevard!

The staff was fabulous. The outdoor seating perfection. The ambiance is very cool, laidback with views of the lake. The food was only ok. We came for brunch and my quiche was runny. Cohort liked his shakshuka. Mimosas were good

What a great experience we had for dinner tonight. Very intimate but yet relaxed at the same time. We were greeted right away and set at a table by the window with a great view of the sunset. We started with espresso martinis which tasted great. We proceeded to have the bread appetizer which I was very found of the jam which was made from tomatoes and mixed with some additional seasonings. When our meals came the presentation was very elegant. I had the halibut which I have never tried anywhere before. It did not have a fishy flavor at all. The texture and cook was perfect. The waygu was cooked perfect as well. The potatoes had a light crust and the sauce that came with the meal was very tasty. Overall great experience and service was on point as well.

This place is great! If on a casual outing, date or business this place is great for all. Outdoor seating was available but decided to eat inside, its dim and mood was nothing but great. Got the Steak frites, it was very good, service was prompt and he was very nice/helpful. Got the ruby chocolate cheesecake because well.. I'm a sucker for cheesecake. It was great! I would def come back here if I'm back around here.

We made our reservations on open table about 45 minutes prior. I had asked if we could have a window seat to see the sunset. We got there and got just that. Our server Bob was super friendly and cool. I never mentioned that it was our anniversary but when I did, he was so awesome and returned with an anniversary card. Our food was amazing! This place is a hidden gem. Our server also let us know that the chef was up for a James Beard award and it showed! Thank you for a lovely experience and a great anniversary! P.s... the lemon aioli for the shrimp is outstanding

The veal of elk is an amazing dish; not just the meat but the excellent accompaniments. Memorable.

Yes. Make reservations for a nice table overlooking the lake at sunset. It's beautiful.

Wish i had taken pics of the inviting, casual atmosphere inside and outside. Noted a very friendly setup for kids, and many families enjoying the outdoor games. Our server, Lily, could not have been better. Friendly, helpful, efficient, kind. We thought it was just us (kidding) but she was the same at every table she served, even though she was super busy! Kudos to Lily! One of the best! We had the kitchen split an Asian Crunch Salad as a starter. Fresh and crunchy! Hubby got the Burnt Ends Melt on Detroit Sourdough toast with the house made chips. He loved it and said he'd order it again! I had the Olive Burger and had them put it on their toasted sweet potato jalapeño bun. A Michigan staple, we do not have olive burgers in our state. If you've had an olive burger before, and liked it (as I do whenever we go north) you haven't tried ANYTHING yet! THIS BURGER WAS AMAZING! The burger itself high quality beef and perfectly grilled medium as I requested. Fresh leaf lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, sliced olives, and their delicious homemade olive aioli. Mine with waffle fries which were so generous, I had to give 3/4 of them to my husband (who gladly obliged)! Try the pickle bloody mary, if you're so inclined. Yum! Def will return! If you go, ask for Lily and tell her we sent you! ; )

My husband found himself craving their friends and burgers recently, so I decided to take a chance and come back. The food, as always, is fantastic. We had never ordered an appetizer before so we ended up trying the cheese curds as an extra treat since it's been so long between our last visit and our most recent one. My husband got a double burger with American cheese and bacon, which is a pretty standard order for him. He did end up ordering a side of fries and a drink as well, but the name of the drink has escaped my brain. I got my usual BYOB (build your own burger) which is a bean patty, white cheddar cheese, lettuce, onion, and honey mustard. The hostess who greeted us was very welcoming and led us upstairs to our table. Our waiter was also very friendly, chatted with us about Pokemon Go and was generally quick with our items. If I could change anything it would be having a little bit more time between our appetizer and our entree, but that wasn't a big deal considering my anxiety usually acts up to a point where I take most of my food home anyways (which I did end up doing). Overall a decent experience, if you come in to dine that is. I still don't trust them to do a proper over the phone order.

About an hour and a half for an appetizer of wings - and that's all we ordered! That should not happen. It's unfortunate for those looking for a nice dinner. Maybe the brewery menu needs to be condensed to packaged snacks and offer their patrons to cross the street to order a "to-go" order. On a high note, Tyler was a great friendly bartender :)
