Decided to come and try this new coffee place in Fullerton. First of all you have to park on the street, I didn't see if they have parking available in the back. The menu looked good and they have a variety of drinks. I went with a banana latte and my daughter ordered a matcha. My banana latte was lacking in color and so I went and ordered an extra shot of espresso. Also the banana flavor in the latte was a syrup and I didn't like that. You can taste the after taste of the syrup. My daughter didn't like her matcha , she said it was lacking something. It is a cute little place , it has some seating area available. When we first walked in the gentleman behind the counter was very energetic and happy. Always nice to walk in to a place with that energy. If I am ever in the area again , maybe I will stop and order something else.
Hidden coffee shop across from the college, there is street parking and parking in the back. I was a little put off because when I walked in there was only one worker and she didn't say hi or acknowledge me when I came in... it's my first time so i'm standing there trying to figure out what I want and I was gonna ask for her opinion but she kept walking off to the back (still hadn't greeted me at this point) I then realized you have to order yourself on the kiosk so I did that... The inside of this place is quaint, a decent amount of seating and chill music. Probably a good study spot. Very clean too. I ordered the Caramel Bliss latte (got it half sweet)... it's a caramel latte with vanilla cold foam and caramel drizzle. The prices here are good! The coffee is advertised as $5.99 and after tax comes out to about $6.50 which is still cheaper than most coffee shops these days. The drinks itself tasted amazing! Not too sweet and great flavor. I liked that you can actually taste the coffee. I think since it has cold foam it's still on the sweeter side so if you don't like coffee too sweet maybe skip the foam.
RYO Coffee is such a fun spot if you're looking for unique coffee and matcha drinks! I tried the Iced Vanilla Latte with foam, Banana Blast Latte with foam, Banana Matcha Cloud, and the House Fusion Coffee. Everything was flavorful and fun to try, especially if you like creative drinks beyond the usual coffee shop menu. I also loved having so many different options to choose from. Definitely a spot I'd recommend checking out if you're in the area and want to try something different!
Ryo Coffee & Tea is located in Fullerton! It was quite easy to pull over and park here for a quick coffee fix. There are a couple of parking spots in front of the store, on the street. I'm not sure if there is a parking lot or any other parking spots nearby. Upon walking inside, it was bustling with other patrons playing a card game. It was nice to see liveliness inside the cafe on a calm morning. I can see how this place would be a hit with the college students. They offered pastries and ramen noodles for patrons, which would be the perfect hang out or study meal. We ordered on the kiosk and got to look at their drinks with pictures next to it. I opted to try their banana blast latte that was a bit over $6 in price. We sat down and waited quite a bit for our drinks. There was only one person manning the front, so it was understandable. He was very kind and approachable when we had ordered. My banana blast was definitely banana. I actually got soy milk as an alternative and I could taste that, too. The best part is amidst the banana and soy milk, I could also taste the coffee. Not bad! We would definitely come back to try their other drinks whenever we're in the area!
Stumbled into RYO near Cal State Fullerton and instantly understood why people keep talking about it. The vibe is super chill, fun, and has that perfect college-town energy where everyone seems to be either studying, catching up with friends, or hunting for the perfect Instagram photo. I ordered the Banana Matcha, and wow!! it was smooth, rich, creamy, and somehow tasted like a matcha and banana decided to become best friends. The inside is also designed perfectly for a quick photo op with your drink..so don't be surprised if you leave with both caffeine and new profile pictures Great drinks..cool atmosphere.. and definitely worth a visit.. I'll absolutely be back for another matcha adventure.
I came across this spot on social media and bookmarked it for the next time I was in the area. We happened to be nearby, so I knew we had to give it a try and I'm glad we did! Ordering was easy through the kiosk, and I appreciated that the menu highlighted the best sellers and recommended customizations. We ordered: * Banana Matcha Cloud * Matcha Bliss * Banana Blast Latte (recommended with oat milk and vanilla cold foam--trust the recommendation!) * Mango Breeze Every single drink was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, refreshing, and exactly what we were hoping for. The Banana Blast Latte with oat milk and vanilla cold foam was especially good. The drinks came out quickly, the prices were reasonable, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
This place is one of my favorite places to get a Hojicha latte!!!! This place has great vibes, clean, easy to find, and service is always great! If I could, I'd come here everyday!
It really gives off mom & pop vibes. It was nice seeing the interactions of the students who came to support the owner (who teaches at fullerton college and now owns Ryo Tea). The owner is also really funny. When the drinks came out, he jokingly said "don't even ask me which one is the ube". The ube was really strong and the matcha itself was yummy. It is on the sweeter side. The london fog was light but good.
There's a kiosk at the front, but you can also order directly with the cashier. There's plenty of seating inside, making it a good spot to study or get some work done. The Uba Matcha Cloud with ube coconut milk was really good, though it was on the sweeter side. I wish there had been an option to adjust the sweetness level. The Creamy Matcha wasn't as creamy as I expected, but it did have that rich, slightly chalky matcha texture. I just wish it had been a bit creamier overall.
I never realized how close this place is to Fullerton community college! You're in for a treat if you go to school there. They specialize in their matcha drinks I believe, but I'm personally not the biggest fan of matcha. So, I got their phoenix milk tea, which is actually dairy-free! They use a non-dairy creamer and oolong tea, which you can really taste in the drink! I got 50% sweet to get more of the tea flavor, but if you want it a little sweeter, definitely do 100% sweetness. I also got their crystal boba with the drink, which has to be one of the tastiest crystal boba pearls I've ever had! You do order from a mini screen, but the service was very good when they bring your drinks out. The shop itself is pretty small and they do have board games for you to play as well. I'm happy I finally got to try this place!
This place was easy to find as it is facing the busy street of Chapman Ave and it is right across the street from Fullerton College. Parking was easy to find, as there is parking in the back, behind the building. And you can park in front of the street if there is any available. When I got there they were a bit busy as it was a long line in front of me. I saw one of the QR codes that said "order online and pick up in store." So I ordered on line and finished my order before actually getting to the self order kiosk and it gave me a pick up time. As I was taking my pictures and waiting, I noticed that the girls behind me in line got their order even before my order was called out. As my pick up time was approaching, I went to go check on my order. And it was already done just waiting in the back. I am not sure how the pick up ordering service works, but I am pretty sure they usually have drinks finished before a pick up time. I felt like I waited all this time when my drink was already ready. I really enjoyed the Phoenix milk tea. Oolong milk tea is one of my favorites. I also like how this is one of the few drinks where you can make adjustments. I am not too sure about the texture of the Boba, as it is not your regular round tapioca balls. I wanted to try the genmaicha latte because I was curious how it would taste in latte form because I drink genmaicha tea everyday. I like how they notify you that this is not a Matcha drink. But when I ordered it, I got Matcha foam on top.The drink is very genmaicha forward. And when you mix in the matcha cream foam, you get hints of that matcha upon every sip. It was delicious and I loved it! I like the ambience of this place. It has a very modern feel with a few tables and chairs as well as benches where you can sit and hang out. They also have some games for you to play while you are waiting or if you want to hang out with friends. It is also a nice study place as it is quiet inside. Very helpful for those students across the street. Definitely a place I would like to try again.
fantastic. you can definitely taste the quality in their coffee! they have such fun flavors too! i got to try the coconut pandan einspanner and LOVEDDD it. i will definitely be returning to try other drinks great space to do work here as well. i had no trouble finding parking (they also offer parking behind the building)
Banana Cloud Matcha: sweet, creamy, and still had a strong matcha flavor. Not usually my favorite combo since it's mostly cloud foam, but it was still really good 8/10 Creamy Matcha: matcha w a matcha cream stop, EASY 10/10. 5* Phoenix Milk Tea has a nice creamy, distinct, yet not bitter flavor. I could feel the caffeine 1/2 way through the cup. I didn't need sugar especially when adding toppings. I chose aloe vera for a healthier alternative. Surprisingly goes well. 4* service - Peter was very concerned that I may not like the flavor and gave me a little sample to taste the original, when I asked for no sugar (since he wasn't sure if it was corn syrup). Found this place on Yelp and I am really happy I stopped by! I had no idea it was the second day of their soft opening and I highly recommending checking them out. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and I got to sample their Phoenix Milk Tea, Genmaicha Tea, and Hibiscus Sunset, along with my order of the Violet Garden Latte (iced). The Hibiscus Sunset was refreshing and the fresh orange juice used was nicely notable. As for the Phoenix Milk tea, it was creamy and I enjoyed that the tea was very present and smooth. My favorite sample was the Genmaicha tea. The roasted rice provides a nutty, cozy flavor with the tea and the texture of the drink itself was silky. Finally, the Violet Garden latte was toasty and the ube mixed with the coffee was a nice balance. I enjoyed that it wasn't too sweet! !! NEW BOBA SHOP IN FULLERTON, CA !! Decided to check out @ryocoffeeandtea and was not disappointed! The owner, Peter, is possibly the sweetest man alive and gave me samples so I could decide what I wanted! I ended up getting the Phoenix Milk Tea and it was delicious! He told us it's imported from Vietnam and made fresh everyday. You can tell they really care about the quality of their teas and it shows in the drinks! I can't wait to come back and try their other drinks!! They have been open for about 2 weeks so please go support!! Phoenix Milk Tea: Super yummy! Saw this place on yelp and was craving a phoenix oolong milk tea. The shop is a cozy place with a few tables and bar seating. There are board games as well! This place hit the spot. Instantly, when we came into the door, the owner greeted us and encouraged us to try their samples of the pink guava and phoenix oolong. Absolutely was not disappointed, the pink guava tasted amazing. We got the phoenix oolong and you can for sure taste the tea notes! this cafe is soo good, super close to fullerton college. the genmaicha looks unassuming but is actually so flavorful. super strong tea flavor with nutty aromas. i also got the sesame bliss. the coffee is strong and the sesame flavor is well balanced. i really recommend this place, the owner (i think) was doing everything by himself which is super impressive. the drinks are fire and i would try the rest of the menu as well. there is a small lot in the back for parking and a few seats to sit down as well. very cosy atmosphere! read more

Finally, had a chance to stop by this simply aesthetic coffee & drink shop during their soft opening promotion. Recently I had tried their Tropical (green tea) Blend Fruit Tea with Pearl boba, I've always been the refresher tea drinker and this drink just hit the spot... I usually have my boba drink light on the sugar about 50% - 70% & extra ice which I also did to the Tropical Blend Fruit Tea was still really flavorful. Mid at best - a matcha latte with "premium matcha" shouldn't look similar in color to Starbucks and taste like ground chalk. Not sure if that chalkiness is considered creamy to some. Also the other drink, was a hibiscus tea less sweet, and I think my blood sugar could be suffering from irreparable damages and I can't imagine what full sweet would be like. read more

It was ok. Drinks are a bit too sweet and the syrups taste very artificial. We asked for half sweet on one of the lattes and it was still very sweet. Thankfully the owner(?) was very nice about the adjustment and added more milk and another shot of espresso. Other than that, I don't think I would come back :( read more
