We got 4 regular rolls and a special roll. Everything was delicious and fresh. Service was great as well and the decor is nice. The regular rolls are on the smaller side so we were glad we're ordered more than we normally do.

This food was incredible. The only reason I'd give four stars instead of five was the service. We had a reservation but still waited a half an hour for our table- which we understood. The restaurant was very busy and the young hostess seemed overwhelmed. What bothered us was when we asked about how much longer it might be, we were given a rude remark. Our service throughout dinner was also rushed- plates being taken before people were finished eating. The food was truly outstanding, though, which made up for the sub-par service. We had the spicy salmon crispy rice appetizer, a seaweed salad, and three special rolls. More than enough to fill us. I highly recommend the Double Trouble special roll- easily my favorite of the night. Next time, we might order take-out.

Ryujin Sushi in Bridgewater has completely redefined what affordable sushi should be, and honestly, it's ruined most other sushi buffets for me--the quality here is simply on another level. Every piece of sushi is impeccably fresh, beautifully plated, and melts in your mouth in a way you just don't get at places with lesser standards. The sashimi, rolls, and even edamame deliver a luxury experience without compromise, making this spot a favorite whether you're trying something new or savoring classics like spicy salmon or tuna. The atmosphere is gorgeous--tasteful, modern, and elevated, so dining here feels like a treat every time. It's perfect for a date or a small group celebration. Staff is diligent and friendly, but definitely busy. Prices are fair for the quality; while not bargain-basement, you're definitely getting your money's worth considering the freshness, presentation, and careful detail of the entire sushi experience. If you are looking for a new sushi spot, I would recommend giving this place a try!

Thought the food was decent here - chicken was mid but gotta love fresh sushi! But had a negative service experience unfortunately where after paying the check, staff accused me of losing my credit card, when in reality they had dropped it between the registers and not returned it initially. Tried to swing by again a bit ago but they were temporarily closed due to maintenance issue. Hope to give this place another shot at some point if I'm in the area (but will probably pay with cash just incase)!

Great sushi spot in central jersey, modern yet cozy vibe. They have a separate bar area to the side. Our server was engaging and pleasant. Service was good- our food came in a timely manner, our teas were topped off without asking. We got the tuna ryujin which was composed of spicy tuna, different kinds of tuna nigiri and sashimi including toro. Their fish was high quality and the rolls came with just amount of rice-- one layer and not a rice roll LOL California roll was good and the ikura was well marinated. We had the wagyu beef gyoza special app which was really flavorful even without the dipping sauce. Miso soup was white miso and was flavorful, not bland. Clean restrooms, clean interior, parking lot in a strip mall. Will come back!

I cannot recommend this place enough. My coworker and I came to the area for work, and we found this restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar, and it was lovely. Our server gave us plenty of time to go over the menu and ask questions, our food was presented to us nicely, and of course it tasted even better. If you sit at the bar, you get a little surprised before or during your meal. We came back 2 times in one week! So worth it!!

I stopped in for my first time craving ramen and I was surprised off the walk in! I loved the aesthetic of the restaurant, especially the wood accents on the walls. I loved that from our table we were able to see where some of the chefs prepared the rolls and sashimi. The ramen was amazing; great pieces of meat and a lot of ramen noodles (my favorite lol). The rolls were fantastic and I look forward to trying way more! The only contrary was having to wait for about 15 minutes before getting our drink order in. Other than this, I look forward to trying a lot more of their menu items :)

For the first time I picked up from Ryujin, I ordered the spicy miso ramen with tonkatsu broth, and the flavor and depth of the broth was delicious! It was just the right level of spicy for me, and had a good amount of noodles. I also liked the toppings of egg and bok choy; my only preference is that I could customize or add toppings, but I still would order it again! The second time I ordered a seaweed salad, Bridgewater roll, Double Trouble roll (no jalapeño), and nigiri. I didn't like the seaweed salad, the mango didn't compliment the seaweed salad and it was extra liquidy than typical of seaweed salads on the bottom. All of the nigiri pieces were so fresh and I really enjoyed the Bridgewater roll. It was my first time trying seared toro (on the double trouble roll), and I didn't prefer the flavor though my husband enjoyed it. I'd be interested in trying their omakase in-person for a future date night since it's close by.

12 piece tasting menu - superb

This is by far the best sushi I've found in central Jersey since moving from North Jersey. I've found it difficult to find high level sushi in Somerset/Mercer counties. Had the 12 piece tasting menu. Every piece was unique. Really good quality fish and the preparation brought out the flavors even further. Was there on a Friday as my second visit and it was PACKED! Tells you everything you need to know. Looking forward to trying the Omakase next time. Service was attentive even with a very busy restaurant. I very highly recommend this place.

Okay, I needed to update my review to a 5-star because this is hands down the best sushi spot in the area and we've been coming here a LOT more recently. Current faves: - Spicy scallop roll - Hangy Panky (crunch spicy tuna avocado inside, seared bluefin tuna, Japanese mayo, yuzu miso) - Double Trouble (crunch spicy tuna top with seared toro, jalapeno on top) - Bite Me (spicy crabmeat & scallop inside top with torched Albacore & salmon, crispy rice peal, spicy creamy) We recently ordered an Escape Platter (includes 12 pieces of assorted nigiri and a choice of 6 select special rolls) for my husband's birthday and everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Order any catering platters one day ahead of time so that they can prepare accordingly!

    Sashimi with some extra salmon.

Service was decently friendly, but felt a bit rushed. The sushi was decent, but I've definitely had better. They have a decent selection of Japanese beer, but some of the selections weren't available.

Great food, some unusual selections, particularly for NJ. It is a little noisy, but the food and service outweigh that!

This review is for their OYSTER ramen. It is amazing! Also, I've never even seen oyster ramen on…read morethe menu at other ramen spots in jersey. The oysters are fresh and really add to the flavor of the broth. I literally crave it at least once every few months or so. Always pretty empty during lunch time on weekdays. Ramen doesn't come with the egg, you have to pay extra for it though. The actual noodles are excellent too.

This is pretty simple, minimalist, no frills kind of place…read more What we ordered: - Chicken Karaage - Japanese deep fried chicken w/ garlic soy sauce - Agedashi Tofu - deep fried tofu in yuzu fashion with Katsuobyshi, scallions, and Japanese mayo - Tonkotsu Ramen - Shoyu Ramen The service was fine. The woman helping us was sweet but couldn't really explain the dishes well but was helpful if we wanted to make adjustments. We did not know what the tofu dish was and asked for some clarification but was just told it was fried tofu and that it was good. We didn't know what was really on it but we ordered it anyways. We didn't enjoy it but were happy we tried it. I thought my ramen was fine, not my favorite but no complaints. My friend didn't like her ramen so she asked for hot sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce to spice it up and the server was confused at first but was fine bringing it over once we clarified what we wanted. We also didn't love the karaage chicken. All in all, we enjoyed our visit there and appreciated trying something new. They give cute little cat shaped chopstick holders. We will not likely be back because it wasn't to our liking but think it is just personal taste not that the place was bad so we do recommend trying it for yourself. A lot of other people were there and seem to all enjoy their meals and said they come there often.
