This Si Senor location is the worst location(WhiteSage). I have been going to the main Si Senor Restaurant and Si Senor Express for decades now and have been to this new location a couple of times now. The service of the staff, seems like a bunch of kids are running the place and the recipes of the chile seem to be different from the main restaurant and the express. Si Senor's staple of a sopapilla and chips and salsa with your meal that has always been and has been explained from a employee, that this new location is only associated with the main restaurant and express locations. Si Senor's, sopapilla, chips and salsa with every meal is a staple of Si Senor. The only benefit of the location is its building. Si Senor needs to offer the same menu, service and recipes at all locations, not associated locations. No bueno to Si Senor new associated location on White Sage. read more

Yes Sir! Si Senor (sorry, I don't know how to put the squiggly thing above the "n" in Senor) is perfectly perfect. I mean, the food is wonderfully delicious! I ordered a couple of Chili Rellenos with rice and beans. These are Hatch chilies my good readers. They were unbelievably good. You can't match the Hatch when it comes to chilies. There has to be something in the dirt that makes them superior to any other. I should pick some of that up and sprinkle it on my lawn where the gardener killed the grass. Nope, bad idea. The fricken gophers would be in heaven. The chips and salsa are no slouch either. You get plenty of chips and four different salsas to tempt you. Careful though, the green one has a kick. When asked what kind of sauce I'd like on the rellenos, I told the server, NOT THE GREEN ONE! She laughed and said that they have a mild version. I opted for that. It was perfect for blanketing the entree. I didn't get dessert, cause the hotel where I was staying had a sign by the front desk stating that fresh baked cookies will be served. Well, that was a bust. The cookie lady said that the power where she bakes was out. So no cookies. I guess the old saying is true. It's better to have Flan in the hand than cookies on a sign. Quick Tip: Try to get seated by the indoor fountain. The pleasant sound of the trickling water will compliment your experience. That is unless you've been drinking a few beers. This place is a few dollars more expensive than the Si Senor Express on Solano. They also don't make substitutions, even if they are out of red chile con carne and only have green. And I hate their chile con carne anyway because it's too salty. I'm just out an entree thanks to their policy. I even said exchange it with ANYTHING else... and no. Not even a rolled taco. The carne asada burrito comes clean but they give you all of the fixings separately, except guacamole and sour cream. Big sized and plenty of meat, but a bit dry and lacking the typical juices that made this burrito famous. For $11 it's not bad, but not my favorite. Flautas plate was big and crunchy. There's plenty of seating throughout, small tables, large tables to accommodate groups and a separate bar area/room for those adults looking for a more private place to have a cocktail or catch up on some sports. They do serve beer as well and have Happy Hour and Daily Specials. The food: was absolutely delicious. The appetizer that has the rolled tacos is more than enough to qualify as an actual meal. The flautas are crispy, and packed with meat. The fish tacos were super delicious and fresh tasting but do pack some heat! If you can't handle spicy food, the fish tacos are not for you! Their hamburgers are juicy and a good size. The black beans and rice that accompany the tacos are full of flavor, they are absolutely delicious. The various salsas they bring out are all flavorful but spicy. If you don't like spicy food, stick to the bean dip they also bring out with the salsas. The service is phenomenal. Our waitress was on point and not only was she attentive but she had a good attitude. Made our meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, the bathroom are clean, and the atmosphere is upbeat. They do have patio seating also. All in all, this has become my favorite restaurant in Las Cruces and make it a point to stop by whenever I'm down there visiting family. Highly recommend. read more

Out of few authentic Mexican food restaurants we tried in the area, Si Senor was most upscale. It gets busy here, but we managed to get a table right away. They have very beautiful dining room complete with a fountain in the center. Beef tacos were so so, but the beans and rice were really delicious. Their combo plate is perfect if you don't know what to order...little bit of everything. Portion sizes are huge; enough to share. Their chips come with multiple dipping options. They start you off with free chips and salsa. If you're NOT into spicy, stay away from the green chile one. There was a sour cream based dip, bean dip and red chunky salsa. They were ALL great! The jury is still out on Si Senor. While the food was good, the service was spotty to say the least. To their credit, the staff appeared to be stretched too thin. My husband requested a second Margarita and was ignored by the bartender while she took care of other customers. Our waitperson brought our food, then disappeared to service other areas. 02/28/25 We have been going to Si Senor for 10 years now since we moved here. Their food is consistently great and can be seen in this new Si Senor. Chips and 4 salsas with any order. I had the two chile con carne Cambray Burritos with green salsa and my wife had the Chicken Fajita. Refutation is so important with the owner and the family and it shows in their food, service and this beautiful new Si Senor. 04/14/25 I got Ground Beef Nachos and Beer and they even included Chips and 4 salsas. I didn't even touch the Chips and Salsas as the Nachos are just enormous and delicious. I ate 1/3 and already stuffed. Overall good experience. The service was inconsistent. It started slow, picked up in the middle then slowed down at the end again. The chips and salsa in the beginning was real good. The salsas included: sour cream jalapeño, red bean dip, and traditional red and green salsas. The red and green salsas have good kick to them, the jalapeno cream has a mild but good heat. The New Mexico Sour and New Mexico Old Fashioned were my drink of choice. The New Mexico Sour was outstanding. I usually have my drinks without salt on the rim. This rim was mixed with salt and sugar. That mix was perfect with sour theme of the drink. Definitely worth the order. My experience with the Old Fashioned was not as good. The drink was far too sweet for my taste. Tie concept of a ground strawberry syrup sounds great but there was too much that overpowered the rest of the drink. I decided on the chorizo potato taquitos with rice and beans for my entree. The taquitos were excellent, the chorizo and potato went perfectly together and had the right amount of intentional heat. There are apparently 3 different Si Señor restaurants: a full service one on Lohman that has a longstanding great reputation, a takeaway Si Señor Express nearby, and a mostly-takeaway one on White Sage Arc with tray service/order-at-the-counter+ some seating. Yelp only shows the White Sage Arc location on its map. It's fine for what it is, but is definitely not full service, great ambiance, alcohol availability, etc as many of the reviews indicate. Probably if you're local, IYKYK, but Yelp is very confusing in this instance. Not the location's fault, just be sure where you're being led by Yelp is the place you want to go. Four stars b/c fault is Yelp's (and mine, I guess for not being local and knowing better), but also b/c no order-at-the-counter/plastic tray experience rates a 5 star. read more

I've been to the main restaurant and thought it was ok so I decided to try the new location yesterday because they have a drive thru. I ordered the #2 Hatch Valley combo plate and it wasn't what I was expecting. It came with a cheese enchilada (I had it with green chile), a taquito, a ground beef taco, chile con carne, rice, and beans. The enchilada was on the smaller side and didn't have a lot of cheese. It was also drowning in the green chile sauce. The beef in the taco was really soggy and might have been undercooked. It didn't taste bad, but the meat was still pinkish-grey. On the other hand, the meat in the taquito was charred and overcooked. The chile con carne was alright. It was a lot of food but the $16 price was a bit much for the quality I received. The staff didn't include any utensils so I had to use my own at home. I also got a chile relleno burrito for later and it was really disappointing. It was a hefty burrito but when I cut into it, I found out that it was mostly beans and cheese with two small chile. The stringy stems were still attached to the chile which was annoying because I had to cut them off. I wouldn't order this again, especially for the $9 price. My order came with a handful of tortilla chips (literally - there wasn't a lot), green and red salsa, some mashed up beans, and cream sauce. I'm not certain, but I think the staff gave my order to some other customer by mistake. I was waiting at the drive thru window when I saw someone carrying a big plastic to-go bag enter through a side door into the restaurant. The contents of the bag had a packaged plate, packaged bowl, and two paper bags. The guy at the drive thru window stepped away for a moment and then handed me an identical bag with identical contents to what I just saw the other person bring into the restaurant. A lot of people rave about Si Senor, but I don't think their food is anything extraordinary. This location opened relatively recently and I might come back again if they improve. Also - I don't know what the issue is, but you can't order online from this location despite the website and posted notices at the restaurant saying you can. Every time I tried, the online service platform (Clover) says "Si Senor Sonoma is not accepting online orders right now." It doesn't matter the time of day or day of the week. read more

This one is more of a fast food dynamic. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. We really enjoyed the chips and 4 dips they give you. He got the tacos. He said the chicken was better than the ground beef. I got the carne asada burrito. It was straight meat! It was so good. They also give you sauce and cilantro and onions on the side. My wife and I eat here about 3 times a month, this is the best place in town for Mexican food, they give you a big basket of chips and 4 different dips,take my advice and get the green enchiladas (hot chili is hot) get the rolled ones, my wife always likes the chicken fajitas, but I don't like chicken at all, I promise you won't be disappointed with anything, great staff and waiters, keep in mind they make there money off of there bar because the food is fairly cheap, this is a family run business and owners are all family, they are hard working people and their food is always constantly the same, if eat today it will be the same tomorrow, that's what makes them great, give them a try and you can thank me later, enjoy !!! read more

Wow! Best. New Mexican. Food ever! I had the al pastor/ sirloin tacos combo and it was beyond amazing. 2 each filled full of meat and fresh sliced avocado, rice, charro beans and condiments. The chips came with 4 different dips... including a warm bean dip to die for. My friend ordered a quesadilla that was ginormous and piping hot. The restaurant itself is immaculate and has lovely southwestern decor. Finished off with sopapillas that were delicious. Getting ready to leave we were automatically given to go containers for everything including the remaining dips and even a paper posh for the leftover chips. Our server was the best I've seen in years and years. Filled water & tea immediately, was very pleasant and professional. She it's the epitome of good customer service in real life. We weren't given an order number sign that let to confusion. Order was delivered to a different table with two people as the order was for two. The of the couple opened all the containers and dipped her fingers in to taste then told the waitress that it wasn't her order. After removing the order asking for assistance the other employee asked us if we had ordered "..." plate I said yes. Placed the order on the table and I said I would not take the order because the "lady" had dipped and tasted the meal with her fingers. The manager said no problem he would have kitchen prepare the whole order and apologized. No negative attitude; staff friendly just super busy.
