Lemon Pepper Wings with Bluecheese and Butter Parmesan fries.
    Christopher C.

I went to S&K wings for my lunch break at Sparks SF. I went with the hot and lemon pepper 6 wing combo and I decided to upgrade it to garlic parmesan fries. Fries were lukewarm and the wings were TINY. Flavor wise it did not disappoint but if I'm paying for a 6 wing combo, I'm expecting these wings to be huge. Two wings could've been a standard wing. The fries would've been better if they were a little more fresh but flavor was alright plus the fries were inconsistent with it's cut. I also thought it was a bit unsanitary to leave ketchup out the window considering windy conditions in the city and possibilities of insects landing on it. The only thing I'd suggest is bigger wings, consistent fries, and ketchup upon request.

Amazing Lemon pepper chicken, forgot the other flavor. Pulled pork fries, and a Mac & Cheese.

I didn't expect the mac & cheese to taste that good. Overall the food is amazing. I will be coming back again for more and I'll be letting others know about this truck. See you soon.

BBQ Rotisserie Chicken Sammie, Cole Slaw, and Cheesy Tots (3.5 stars)

The S&K food truck came to our Company as a limited one-day trial. Its a family-owned business specializing in wings, and are based in Pinole. The trucks themselves appear to mostly go to Concord and San Pablo. My review is based on limited data, since one hour after opening, they completely sold out of wings! I braved a half-hour line to order a BBQ Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich with a side of cheesy tater tots ($12). For being so patient, they kindly threw in a side cole slaw for me. Sandwich was pretty good - soft bun, chicken meat on the sweeter as opposed to tangy, and plenty of pickles to add some acidity. I liked the tater tots - its kind of like a nice alternative to fries that you don't see too often, outside of elementary school cafeterias! I hope the truck comes back to our Company on a more regular basis, as I still want to sample their wings!

Came to Off The Grid for the first time today, I was pretty excited when I saw wings, I didn't even bother to look around, which I probably should have after what happened to me. I checked out their menu and noticed high prices. Ordered an 8 piece, lemon pepper and some garlic bbq stuff, with tater tots. Got my food pretty fast, and when I asked for ranch I was told it would be 50¢, no big deal...HOWEVER there was a sign that stated dipping sauce included in meal, additional sauce 50¢. When I pointed it out the blonde lady who gave me my food she stated "you had to have asked for it when you ordered the meal (like that makes any sense) but okay. As she handed me my sauce after paying for it, I laughed about it, and as I began to walk away she said "That's why the sign is right there" LMFAOOOOOO like geez sis you didn't have to throw in that blem, but go off. Anyway, food was alright, guy that took my order was really nice and helpful, he could have given me a heads up about the sauce situation though, however he seemed new because when I asked him a question he had to ask the lady for the answer. Lady however was rude and didn't make any sense. I mean correct me if I'm wrong. I could have sat there and argued with her but I'd rather not. She probably had a bad day.

The wings here are good, not great. It's like if you wanted wings, you wouldn't be disappointed here. I don't think I would go out of my way for this place, but if I wanted wings and was in the neighborhood, this would satisfy that craving. They have really small wings though, so it's not that filling. They offer tots tho! So I enjoyed that

Paid $13 for 6 wings and fries. The mini-drumsticks (no wings) were rubbery, and I only got a few morsels off each one. Instead of tossing the drumsticks in the Buffalo sauce they just squirted some sauce over them. No celery or carrot sticks served with the drumsticks. Fries were soggy and inedible. Having spent my freshman year in Buffalo, NY, and wings being one of my cheap staples in college, Buffalo pizza (ugh) being my other cheap staple, I know these are far from authentic. Buffalo sauce needs more vinegar so you kinda choke when you breathe in the vapors.

The BBQ Ranch and Buffalo sauce use to be my go-to wings, but is now a toss up between those and the Lemon Pepper and Chili Lime.

This is a two star review. I came here at the recommendation of a co-worker and want to like it…read moremore than I did. I think the problem is that I couldn't get past the lack of a restroom in the area. They had some portables, but they are making food and we are supposed to eat it. Where are they washing their hands? This area is also pretty cold so if you go, make sure that you have a coat, scarf and hat. I'll never make that mistake again. But because of the cold, I didn't want to eat outside so our food got a cold, but it was good. My husband liked the food he got, but gluten free options are super limited. They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again. The restroom issue. Where does he wash his hands, what if he has a cold and sneezes into them, and so on. That's where my mind went. The vendors are quite nice and were helpful and weren't mean when they answered my GF questions and I appreciate that. So, this is like the little engine that could. I can see that it is a gathering spot for people and they have music and speakers which is cool. So I saw and felt a community vibe and people really seemed to like going. If I lived in the area, I may try it a bit more, but in all honestly, Oakland Museum's Off the Grid event is everything I wish this was. I'm sure that they will get there, but don't want to hang out while they figure it out.

There wasn't that much meat in the sandwich and I was still hungry after it but it still tasted good. I'd probably get the Loaded P instead. The second time, I ordered the P Daddy. I was super hungry and this one did the job well. The owner recognized me from before and was super nice and courteous and offered me a complimentary drink which I appreciated greatly. The third and most recent time I went, I grabbed the Primetime Philly Fries and these also hit the spot. Perfect ratio of meat, chese, fries, and vegetables.

I have actually seen this food truck before but never had the opportunity to order from here so I thought today would be a good day. It seems like their claim to fame is that they use halal meat. I ordered the loaded P and a side of fries. I was pretty underwhelmed with the overall meal. The roll looked like it was bought from a general store and the cheese looked like nacho cheese you get in a can. I will give them credit that the fries tasted fresh but again, I was overall underwhelmed with the whole meal. Truthfully I would have considered giving this place four stars but the total cost of this meal came out to more than $30, which is a bit crazy. I understand we are going through an inflation period but a cheesesteak and fries costing that much is insane. Had the meal blown me away, I would have understood the high price. There may not be many cheesesteak shops in the Bay Area but there are enough where I can compare the quality and price of those shops to this truck. The quality of the sandwiches is definitely similar but the other places are way cheaper. Like I mentioned earlier, if you are going to be a truck that specializes in an American classic and are going to charge a hefty price, then be prepared to impress me. Unfortunately this truck did not pass that bar.

Located on Monument Blvd, close to a gas station, it was poppin. There was a small wait, with some music coming from the taco truck, so the wait didn't feel long at all Bad news was they ran out of the Ramen Birria (which I was excited for), so I went for other options. Regardless of a New Mexican spot I try, tacos are a must. I got shrimp and asada tacos. I also went a bit different and tried out their seafood cocktail. Tacos: double tortilla, warm and spicy Same applied to the cocktail: it was very spicy. I couldn't finish it there, but took it home to consume later. Eating and chatting with my friends in the car, we all enjoyed the spot and are willing to give it another visit if possible. I might have to come earlier to get that Ramen birria

I've been looking for a new local taco truck to hit since the Los Rancheros truck cut their hours (they ain't even open on taco Tuesday anymore!! Wtf?). I've been passing by it for at least a month now. Finally stopped by on none other than taco Tuesday to get my taco fix! The gentleman who was working the truck was real cool (can't remember his name). He told me that they just opened up their taqueria around the corner, but the truck will be parked there from 5p-12a everyday. SCORE! Late night street taco fix for the win!!! They had a taco Tuesday special going on: 5 tacos for $10. It's cash only but still a great deal! They also make quesadillas and a few other items too. The tacos are friggin' HUGE! At first I was thinking, 5 street tacos?! Naaaw, I'mma need me about 10 of 'em. But once I felt that heavy plate in my hands, I knew I wasn't gonna be able to finish it. Fully LOADED! He packed these damn tacos up with meat for dear life. Made it all purdy by adding those lovable grilled onions, green peppers, and limes. I ordered two chicken, two steak, and one pastor. The steak were clearly the best. It was marinated extremely well and retained the most flavor out of them all. The al pastor was also pretty good. The chicken was on the drier side and didn't have much flavor. I'd skip the chicken next time. Also, they could have used a lot more salsa. I'm not used to street tacos being packed with this much meat, but maybe that's why they seemed to lack a bit of flavor. It just needed a bit more flavor and a little more of a kick. Some spicy salsa would probably do the trick. Other than that, the tacos were pretty good and cheap at $2 a piece on Tuesday. Not sure how much they're regularly priced, but their taco Tuesday is an excellent deal. I'm excited to try their actual taqueria soon too. I can foresee many more visits to this truck in the future. Next time, I'll be trying out their quesadillas.
