I called The Grout Doctor to clean and regrout my two neglected showers. The showers were remodeled…read moreover 20 years ago and have not been professionally cleaned for the entire time - of course they were cleaned in that time, but my poor cleaning led to build-up of layers of bar soap which stuck to the shower tiles and made them look worse and worse. The owner, Elvin, took the time to explain proper care and cleaning for tile and showed me how much of the wax- based bar soap had built up on the tiles which I clearly was unaware of over the years - I knew I needed a professional cleaning and resealing of my tile. I scheduled one shower for a thorough cleaning, resealing, and some recaulking. Upon completion of the first shower, I scheduled my second shower for a full cleaning, resealing, regrouting, and recaulking as it looked plain terrible. Elvin arrived timely each day and worked diligently to complete both jobs within the timeframes stated, and with minimal disruption being unable to use the shower until the job was completed and the tiles completed dried from resealing. Elvin also cleaned his work area at the end of each day, something we appreciate. Also, his wife Dina was responsive to all my texts for scheduling and for any questions I had - both Dina and Elvin were friendly and professional in all my interactions. Both showers looked much better and I regret I did not contact The Grout Doctor sooner. With Elvin's advice, I plan on maintaining my shower tiles properly moving forward and having him back as needed for any maintenance / professional cleaning and resealing as needed.

Also removed some marble tile from the short stucco walls, fixed the walls, and re-painted them so they look like new. I had been contemplating ripping out my 24-year-old builder grade fibreglass shower in my master bathroom. When I got estimates for that project about two years ago, it seems like the post-Covid contractor money grab was still in high gear, as all five of the estimates I received (these did not include ETC at that time) were way higher than what I was willing to pay. After my last bathroom tile project, I asked Shane if he did shower projects and was told that he did. He said he does about 20 per year and has been doing them for about 20 years, so he has plenty of experience. He also added that he has taken workshops provided by Schluter and has a full working knowledge of their materials and processes. I liked that, as I preferred to avoid a hot mop stink out as part of a new shower. Shane provided a competitive estimate, so we scheduled the project, which was recently completed. Shane performed all of the work himself including the plumbing, with the exception of the glass shower wall. I am beyond happy with the finished project, which was completed on time and on budget. I cannot recommend more highly Shane's work, which includes the following: * On time for every appointment and workday, finished the project on time as well * Professional * Conscientious * A skilled craftsmen with an eye for detail and perfection * Cleaned up his mess at the end of every workday * Consulted me about every decision that needed to be made * And, a super nice guy If you are looking to remodel a shower or bathtub, you won't do better than European Tile Craftsmen. . Shane did the work himself so there was no bait and switch (eg you agree to work with one guy and have others in your home instead). He made the process easy for us and provided his own materials as part of the price. Others had asked us to buy schluter and other compounds that we were not expert to choose. He explained our options to us clearly and had great ideas to improve the look of our kitchen. I highly recommend Shane's work and would hire him again for our tile needs.

Really glad I did, because the results are meticulous. My nephew is an exacting project manager for a construction company that builds hotels and commercial buildings, and when he inspected Mike's tile work, he pointed out a number of nice professional touches, including how well the tiles were centered and aligned, and how cleanly the grouting was applied. Mike is also a great guy to work with. He keeps you in the loop and explains everything he does, so you can make decisions along the way. He works with you and finds creative solutions to get what you want. Example: I bought handmade art tiles that I wanted interspersed throughout. But they were twice as think as the field tiles I wanted. The sales person at Arizona Tiles said no one would agree to mix tile depths and that I should get a thicker field tile that would cost a lot more. When I asked Mike, he said, "No problem. I can do it." And he did. Saved me a ton of money. Some tips for working with Mike: 1. Mike is an independent contractor. He's bonded/insured, etc. But he operates a small business. That means you may need to wait for him to finish his other jobs to get to you. In the end, a few weeks of delays isn't going to matter much if you end up getting what you want. 2. You can save money by ordering your own fixtures ahead of time. I ordered everything in advance and had all the parts ready when Mike got to me. He still had to go out and get a few bits and bobs, but having everything ready in advance also saved time. 3. Be flexible. Unless you're paying Ritz Carlton money, you will have to make a few compromises. That's true with both new construction and remodels (I did both with Mike). There are just a number of physical constraints and idiosyncrasies to every home that need either: a) expensive custom work; or b) creative workarounds. Mike is awesome at both options. 4. Be patient and add a large time buffer. My remodel took a little longer than I'd expected. We had to wait for parts, the original plumbing was weird and off, the space was too small, etc. All minor stuff. All stacked up. It's just how these jobs go. In the end, I got an amazing little gem of a bathroom. Thanks, Mike!

For example, they made sure all of the striations in our stone look tile were facing the same direction. I feel like some people wouldn't pay attention to that and would just throw them down without thinking about it. I also kept thinking that I need to ask them for a grout color that matched the tiles because I didn't want the obvious contrast between the tiles and wanted them to all blend to create the effect of one piece. And before I even remembered to tell them, they suggested to me that we use the same color grout as the tile to create the effect of one piece These guys just seem to get it. They understand the aesthetics as well as the technical aspects of installation. Before we worked with them, we had another contractor tell us that tile would not be possible due to our damaged subfloor. These guys fixed our subfloor and made it possible for us to have the tile floor we wanted.

Not only did he work quickly and efficiently, but he worked meticulously and made sure not to damage any existing tile. The first day took from about 9-1:30 pm to demo, cut, and set new tile. The second day he came back to do the grout (took less than an hour). Paolo explained that they wanted to make sure the tile was set/dry before grouting so that the grout color didn't blend into wet tileset color (which was white). Once again, we've had amazing results from Josh and Wendy's work! We had unfortunately acquired a huge stain on our couch and we were even debating if it was salvageable, but we decided to call Josh and Wendy first. They did us a huge favor coming so far to our house and squeezed us in as quickly as possible. I was completely amazed. Our couch is probably four years old (somewhere around there) and our family had tore it up pretty good. It was "well loved". Our couch looks BRAND NEW! I'm so shocked! This is our third or fourth time using Josh and Wendy and we'll never use anyone else. They're quick, efficient, super nice and reliable PLUS they obviously do a great job. What a great team. Josh and Wendy were super accommodating (fulfilled my last minute call), informative and a pleasure to work with. I recently moved into a new home and my 3 huge puppies have pretty much destroyed the carpet... With the rain the last couple of days, definitely didn't help. I decided to take a last minute day off to get this handled and under control. Thanks to Wendy and Josh they were able to come to the rescue. First time customer and definitely a customer for life…read more Initially, I was searching Yelp to find a carpet cleaning company to clean an area run one of our dogs recently threw up on. I created a message and sent it out to about 10+ local companies and although Thomas wasn't the first to respond, but he ended up being the best decision we could have made. Another company responded first and never got back to us so I went to the next message and it was from Thomas. After a few minutes explaining our situation and what we needed, they said they were available the very next day. I asked if I could add an additional room and he immediately agreed. Upon arrival, Another One Wipes The Dust was very friendly and professional. We showed them the rug and they started cleaning right away paying extra attention the stains and doing a thorough job. From there, we moved into the extra room that we added and they did a fantastic job on that as well. As they were finishing up, my wife asked if they could clean our upstairs hallway before leaving because one of our dogs peed on the carpet and since they had time, we paid the difference and ultimately couldn't be happier!
