If you're looking for a restaurant where you can make a reservation a week in advance only to be treated like an unwanted last-minute walk-in, look no further. This place has it all: tiny chairs, nonexistent customer service, and a manager with all the warmth of a parking ticket. I made a reservation for a special family dinner--five (small-average sized) adults, including my pregnant cousin--and was shocked when we were led to a table with four normal chairs and one sad little folding chair that looked like it was borrowed from someone's garage sale. I wouldn't have put my handbag on it, let alone expected a pregnant woman to sit there. When I calmly and kindly told the server we physically could not fit at the table (you know, basic spatial reality), she blinked at me like I'd asked her to solve a math equation and said, "It'll be fine." Oh? Will it? Because unless the laws of physics have changed, my thigh couldn't even fit between our table and the one next to us (see photo). But sure, totally fine. After a painfully awkward standoff, we were "allowed" to move tables--how generous. But just as we thought the discomfort was over, the manager stormed over like she was auditioning for the role of 'Restaurant Villain of the Year' and started arguing with me in front of the entire dining room. Loudly. Publicly. Embarrassingly. I finally asked, "Do you want us to just leave and go somewhere else?" and she didn't even hesitate: "Yes." Honestly? The sheer audacity. No apology, no accountability, just pure, unfiltered hostility. But here's the part that really left a sour taste: as we walked out, I couldn't help but notice other tables being treated with smiles, comfort, and space to breathe. Funny--we didn't seem to get any of that. And let's just say, we didn't exactly look like everyone else in the room. So yes, it felt racist. And if it wasn't, then it was Oscar-worthy impersonation of how racism plays out in real life: subtly, publicly, and with a forced smile hiding a whole lot of ugly. Bottom line? This place doesn't deserve your time, your money, or your tolerance. I wouldn't go back if they offered me a free five-course meal and a proper chair. Hard pass. read more

My partner and I tried this place a while back and we absolutely loved it Food: The food here, and I say this complimentarily, was so spicy. We got the red and green curries which were both amazing. I also got the Tom yum which had the perfect balance of umami and acidity They make their own spice blend for the curries which means their base is at the tail end of my spice tolerance but I muscled through because of how delicious everything was. Employees are always very pleasant to interact with. I think the spice level is more inconsistent than other Thai restaurants I've eaten at, maybe because they use fresh chili instead of dried? Update to my previous review. I still rate Saab Sis Thai 5 stars, now that I've eaten inside the restaurant (only carry out previously). At a time when it has become almost impossible to find a quiet eating establishment, it was a pleasure to eat here. My friend and I could even carry on a normal conversation. Such an unusual and relaxing experience. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The superstars were the Thai ice milk tea (must have, not too sweet and perfect to pair with a spicy dish) and the chicken pad Thai! Just make sure to ask them about them about their spicy levels. Walked into Saab Sib Thai before the dinner rush. Service was great. The ambiance was warm. I ordered the Thai tea with boba, the Thai tea was okay but the boba was not good -- it was stiff, gummy, and plastic-y -- like I was eating an orbeez. Besides that, the food was delicious! I couldn't find the name of the noodle soup I ordered on the menu, but it was exactly what I needed. The soup was so flavorful, tender beef, and spices on the side. My partner ordered the Khao Soi which was creamy, and the meat fell off the bone. They were both superb. While it was easy to get a reservation and they didn't mind giving our group separate checks and the restaurant its self was comfortable and stylish, the food was average at best. It could be that most in our group wasn't used to more traditional Thai than the Thai that is in the fast food Thai places. The server warned us that their spice level is higher than other places and most ordered either no spice, mild, or mild plus. All were much more spicy than expected and my no spice had a kick to it. What is telling was that I had to ask them how their food was. No one was talking about their food which is not a norm with a dining out group. The shrimp rolls were good, but my Pad see ew noodles were soft. It warmed up Ok the next day. Even with soy sauce, it was still too spicy for me. (We had to ask for it in the restaurant). My wife got the red curry and I got the peanut curry carry out. It was just not good. Red curry is loaded with raw and undercooked red and green peppers. The peanut curry again has cubed undercooked carrots, which makes it difficult to eat. The eggplant, however, is overcooked mush, and completely bland and unseasoned. The rice is completely bland and unseasoned and has no flavor. Both curries had an overwhelming underlying garlic taste. It made it unpleasant to eat. I came in at 8:20. I was turned down for service. They don't take orders past 8:15pm everyday of the week. Yelp and Google have 9pm. Their website has no time shown. Update: 8/27/2023. Re: Riyanna Y. I was incorrect about the website not showing hours of operation. However, the website shows Tue - Sat 11AM - 9PM, and I came in on Saturday. In addition, it shows Kitchen Closed: 8:30 PM. I understand you want food and quality to be your best, but if a kitchen on your website closes at 8:30, then I should be provided service. If your website and all other social media needs to be updated, then the kitchen closing should be updated to 8:15 PM. Also, regarding the women I spoke to at the cash register, I did offer to sit down at the restaurant if that would be more convenient which again, I was turned down due to the kitchen closing at 8:15 PM. I'm mainly upset about this was that I was super hungry and held off eating other food to come in within your Hours of Operation. Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered chicken wings and spring rolls--while the spring rolls were tasty, the chicken wings were clearly undercooked and unsafe to eat. I sent them back right away and asked for noodles instead. Shockingly, the manager still made me pay for the undercooked chicken, even though I didn't eat a single bite. Just finished one of my many carry out orders from Saab sis Thai. It's ALWAYS good but whoever made the papaya salad today put their wholeeee heart into it. It was so garlicky, spicy, and flavorful I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing. On top of that, when I picked up my order they were absolutely slammed but they were clearly running a very well run machine because no one stopped moving and helping customers. This is the 3rd Thai place in this location now. It still has the Thai princess signage on the outside, but the Saab is on the door. The interior is the same as when it was renovated for Thai princess. I forgot how narrow their tables here are, not a lot of space of sharing space in between. We ordered the papaya salad, red curry with chicken and steamed tofu, broccoli, green beans and mushrooms and seafood pad Thai, Thai hot with fresh Thai chilis. $44.52. The papaya salad is taking a bit. The salad was good, nice medium heat to it. The red curry isn't too bad. Like there is Thai basil in their version. The sauce is sweet and spicy, not bad. The seafood pad Thai is decent, it comes with 3 scallops, 3 shrimp and 3 mussels. It's not spicy at all. We don't see any fresh Thai chili in it either. Was good for the $18. Trendy, clean, very cool ambiance, delicious food. Haven't tried had Thai food since I went to Thailand in 2018. I didn't have the best experience in terms of food in Thailand, but everyone raves about Thai food so I thought I'd give it another try and I'm glad I did. The food here is amazing and packs a punch that's out of this world. My mom and I tried two different dishes. She got the fried rice and I got a curry I believe(been a couple weeks but I did attach pics!) was immaculate. Prices are pretty fair and the quality matches.
