From the initial call to schedule an inspection up to the time the new roof was installed, Saber Roofing was outstanding on all fronts. Raffael S. review on 2/15/2024 was spot on and so true is his statement "The end result is not just a repair but peace of mind knowing it was done right". The inspection was thorough and honest, informing of what needed to be done and what wasn't required, highlighted potential problems from the previous roofer's work that would be investigated once the old roofing material was removed and followed promptly by a detailed estimate that included energy efficiency options for consideration. Being in such high demand, it took some time to get the new roof work started but absolutely no regrets with that, Saber is worth the wait. Kept informed of scheduling a few week prior so plenty of time to get the property "ready" for crews and alert those who needed to know of the upcoming difficult job of removing and disposing old roofing materials, making dry rot repairs or other discoveries including charred plywood where the previous roofer did not leave adequate spacing around "hot" vents but rather installed the plywood up against it which luckily didn't cause a fire, sealing, installation of new roofing materials and metals (vents/flashing) and the painting of new roof metal to match. At each day's end, the property and surrounding area was totally cleared of all debris, using a metal detector to catch nails or other metal scraps that could damage tires-people-animals and was left spotless without any incidental property damage despite the amount of debris, ladders, crew and new materials that was brought down and up two stories. Received compliments how smoothly the new roof work week went, the neutral roof color selection and overall finished product, as well as surprise by the thorough daily cleanup of the property and adjacent surrounding areas. Of significance, and certainly not a frequent comment during a roofing job, was how very appreciative others were of the professional, respectful workmanship and demeanor of the crew. They are so awesome! Our flat roof over the garage started to leak. Which is not a big deal, except for the fact that it's right over all the electrical lines and the car charger. :( Ryan was kind enough to look at pictures over email and give us a ball-park estimate, even before he came out. The whole team is great - Jake got us our estimate right away, and Anne was so nice in setting up the appointment and keeping us in the loop via emails. We were pleased with Saber several years ago when they enlarged a roof cut out for our oak tree branch. When I thought I needed a new roof, Ryan Saber, the owner, came out personally to look at our roof. He was the only roofer that told me that I had another year or two of life in it. Impressed by his integrity, I choose his company when we decided to replace the roof. They installed ember resistant vents in the attic and crawl space, replaced 3 skylights, and replaced our roof. Needed to replace roof due to aging shingles, a leak, and termite damage to the rafters. Also used this as an opportunity to get solar panels installed by another group. That turned out to be the deciding factor in choosing Saber as they had worked with the solar group in the past. Those jobs need to be coordinated as mounts for solar panels are timed within the roofing installation steps. Saber provided a straightforward quote with options on shingle brand and time & materials for termite repair. They were able to start 6 weeks prior to the scheduled date. The foreman called or texted each day with questions, photos, and an update on the progress. How often can you say home repair was a pleasing experience? Unfortunately, the company is declaring an unusually LONG waiting list for gutters cleaning service ( close to 4-5months). In my case they decided to inform me on Sunday 5 PM about coming on Monday afternoon! I had not received their messages, and therefore did not authorized any work during my absence. I first interacted with Saber Roofing about a year ago, when we saw signs of a leak in the garage. They were GREAT - they came out and inspected everything. The person who came out did a temporary fix in the part of the roof that had the issue. He told me that while they would be happy to do a repair to just that part of the roof, we should consider replacing the whole roof because it is overdue. He said he would not feel right taking our money to replace just that part, only to have us have to replace the whole roof soon. I was definitely impressed with his honesty. We decided in the spring that we need to replace the roof. We got two quotes that were pretty similar. The difference was that Ryan at Saber (he is the owner) was very easy to work with. He is a great communicator and he does not try to up-sell you. He is honest about the things you absolutely need versus things you might want for aesthetics. My husband visited the showroom last spring and then we both visited last summer to look at samples and options. Ryan spent a lot of time with us, showing us all the options and telling us clearly where we don't really need to spend extra money. He encouraged us to go and check out the various roof colors and types once we had narrowed down what we might like. Ryan clearly is passionate about his business, is extremely knowledgeable, and is very, very good with clients. Ryan was very good about communicating with us about when they could schedule the job. We replaced a leaking torch down flat roof that had caused significant interior ceiling damage over the last two years, that was applied by another roofer, with a new PVC based flat roof using Saber Roofing. They had also done our sloped roofs a few years ago and did a great job on those.
