The only thing I wish they did was provide at least one more slice of bread! The lamb and beef kebab were good, but nothing too special that you couldn't get elsewhere. The cocktail drink was yummy! Service: A bit slow at first for a not full or crowded night. Nothing to really complain about though. We did have to flag them down for the check. Parking: pretty good! Turkish Eggs: 8.5/10 I loved all the flavors in the Turkish eggs dish combined. The seasoning on the warm eggs mixed with the tart feta was great. Whipped feta: 8/10 This was reeeaallly tart and honestly kind of plain. They gave me one pita but you could probably use 2/3 to finish this. It's kind of annoying they don't give you more. I've always wanted to eat at Sabine (and I'm glad it's emptier than normal so we were able to snag a table!). It did get packed though around 7/7:30, so try to get there early. Shoutout to the bartender for recommending drinks (we looooved the papaya margarita like cocktail, espresso martini, and a dry white wine from Portugal). Food was amazing though I was a bit taken aback by the morels (maybe they weren't washed or washed but was left sitting out for too long? it smells/taste a bit too fermented for my liking). I don't think I'll get the morel mushroom hummus the next time I have dinner here. The kebabs were delicious and I love how they pair the sauces to each meat type. What a lovely find!! My friend recommended this place for our brunch, and it was so good! We were able to get street parking eventually and made our way to the cafe. Ordering is done at the counter, and I got the Shakshuka with the Valencia latte. I do think the Shakshuka can have more flavor but it was cooked well. The latte was perfect for the sunny morning. Service was ok, mostly friendly. The barista was not entirely friendly when we inquired about a missing drink, but it was short lived and we didn't let it ruin the rest of our experience. Friends had the oat pancake and the fried egg sandwich, which they both really liked. Oat pancake is large, so would recommend brining an appetite or planning to share vs taking leftovers. However, I think on this day they were so packed that after paying there were no seats. Luckily shortly thereafter someone was leaving so we were able to scoop up their table though a bit awkward since we had to hover. The food itself was quite delicious, with the breakfast salad being my favorite. A nice amount of bacon and runny egg to make it a warm salad with a nice acidic dressing to brighten it up. Luckily for us Sabine doesn't take reservations and doesn't have "assigned" seating, which means you have a better shot of getting a table with a larger group! It's so well decorated - it gave European vacation vibes! You order at the counter, get a number and take your seat, and then get the food within 10 to 15 minutes. If you order coffee/drinks, you get that pretty much immediately at the counter. I ordered the breakfast quinoa bowl, which was absolutely delicious and a nice change to the heavy brunch that I usually get. I met a friend for happy hour this evening at Sabine Café & Bar and we arrived around 4:45. We sat by the fire pit and were enjoying our drinks and snacks. Around 7pm, our server told us we needed to pay out because people were waiting for seats. This surprised us because there were open tables and we were still eating and talking. I have worked in restaurants and have never seen guests asked to leave while they were still in the middle of their visit. It felt unnecessary and left us both feeling unwelcome. Sabine is a lovely space and we were having a great time, but the way this was handled made the experience disappointing. I hope the feedback is helpful for future guests. read more

I had such a great experience thanks to Victor. From the moment I sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew his craft. He took the time to ask what flavors I like and recommended a cocktail that ended up being one of the best I've had in a long time. Went here for a bachelorette dinner with a group of 10. Made reservations weeks ahead of our dinner and called back day before to confirm everything and was told our reservations was not processed as a Credit card was not placed to secure the reservation and hostess who took the reservation did not follow the correct protocol. Great, so what now ? Thankfully they were able to squeeze us in an hour later from our reservations. We got there a little earlier and were told to wait which was fine and decided to head to the bar and were told no, they don't appreciate guest standing around the bar area. The dude at the front desk was nothing but rude, arrogant with zero customer service skills. We told him we were going to go say hi to a friend sitting at the bar which we did and the bar tender looked at us and said, I'm not serving you. We were so taken back by the customer service at this place that we didn't feel like staying. But with the size of our group on a Friday in Ballard would be difficult to find a place. So we went to another bar and hung out till our 8:30 reservations. Went back for our reservation and thankfully were greeted by our super friendly server who was amazing. We sat outdoors and she had recommendations on drinks and food. Drinks were great here and food was yummy. Great variety for all dietary restrictions. From the hummus plate to the kebab plates everything was delish. Restaurant itself is beautiful. Perfect matcha flavor. The Turkish eggs was suuuuper good too. All the flavors with the feta, the guacamole, the arugula just worked so well. We got the Turkish Eggs and the Shakshuka. The flavors on both were amazing. I loved the turkish eggs slightly more because of the whipped feta and it was lighter. I loved the amount of spice of the shakshuka and the roasted red peppers. Sadly didn't get coffee but want to next time since the coffee smelled amazing.
