If you're on the fence deciding to go with this pool company, I'm here to tell you my story. I had already got my three bids and was more nervous than when I started. Mainly because every pool company that came out kept warning me to beware of other companies because they give a low bid and add in change orders as they go. I had a tight budget, and no room for that. We kept seeing Sac Pool Pros on Instagram, and we loved their work. My son convinced me to get one last bid, we did. Eric came out and was so genuine, and later I found out it was sincere as he stayed with the project to the end; stopping by, and periodic texts to see if all was good. Through the initial process I had budget concerns and questions about relocating old valves from the hot tub to the pool equipment, which would require removing concrete in part of my patio. Eric had me speak with Dave (the owner). Dave was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided an explanation at a level that I could understand. He too stayed in touch through the entire project. As the project began there were teams for each stage/process of the project, and each team knew their trade excellently. They were professional, friendly, and I was amazed at how well they cleaned up at the end of each day. When I went in to the office to select the tile and trim for my pool they took time, never making me feel rushed, as there was a large selection to choose from and they were all so friendly and professional. In fact, the guy at the office who helped us select our tile came out to look at our pool, and made sure to stop and chat with me. My last part of my pool process was the startup which was a free service as part of the remodel. Brandon the service manager was very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything he was doing related to the chemicals and why he was doing it. When the job was all complete, I was left with a beautiful, well running, resurfaced pool, and an automated hot tub. I couldn't have been happier that I chose them, and to be clear they completed everything they promised, and there were no added charges. It's a shame I can't give more than 5-stars. Sac Pool Pros built our pool in late 2021. The build went on time and as promised. We were very happy with the construction quality and final look. Our back yard is a destination for our friends and family on hot summer days now. We particularly like the fountain. This year, July 4th 2023, the cleaner pump housing cracked and was unusable. I contacted Brandon at Sac Pool Pros and, even though the pump was out of warranty, he informed me that the pump had a manufacturer defect and an upgraded version is available (confirmed by several articles regarding the pump). Brandon stated that he would replace the pump under warranty regardless of the time. Today, one week later, Armando arrived and installed the new pump. It only took him an hour and the work was professionally done including replacing a hose that had a small hole in it that I hadn't noticed. Late December I had a choice. Continue with a contract with a company who out the gate maximized the largest, most expensive pool possible for my backyard despite our wishes or search someplace else. On a whim I filled out the required information for a sale rep to call me with Sac Pool Pros. Literally not 12 hours later, I received a text message from Tommy Coker, SPPs rep and less than 24 hours he sent me a potential pool diagram. He was kind, informative, transparent and no-bullshit kind of rep. He immediately asked me what my budget was and we discussed what my family and I are hoping for. He guided me through uncharted territory giving me confidence in my decisions. He also helped me with water features that I didn't even think of - something that my son would absolutely love. Pool companies are ridiculously busy (in the past called 3-4 different companies and did not even hear back from any of them) however with Tommy and SPP they have been nothing but attentive and respond back to questions in a timely manner. In addition tommy was able to help us lock in a dig date with feeling pressured - something that also made me feel like he had his customers best interest. Do NOT use this company. They were referred to me buy the company that plastered our pool. After more than two weeks after I first requested they begin the startup process and regular cleaning, they finally showed up and started work on it. When one of my contractors dumped a little paint in the pool and caused it to go murky, Dave said they'd get it cleaned. Never once was I told it would be a problem to clean it, and was even told that they would be pumping the pool, which never happened. I never had any further communication from them and my pool turned into a swamp. When I called Dave to find out what was going on, his response was "I have no idea who you are or what pool you're talking about". I immediately paid someone else to pump the pool and power wash it (amazingly the paint cleared right up!), but unfortunately the damage was done. My brand new plaster that I just paid $6,000 for has been ruined due to the neglect and mismanagement of this terrible excuse for a pool service company. When I contacted Dave to discuss my concerns (after we established who I was since he was still clueless), I was met with open hostility. I explained that they caused damage to my new plaster by never finishing the startup and cleaning process that I paid for, and so I needed them to acid wash the pool and if that did not work then I would be forced to replaster. Dave's response (which was via text, very professional) was: "So your saying the paint is our fault lol good luck I got an attorney I'll go to battle on that. I ain't fixing some dumb f*** painters problem who was their f****** can in a pool" Wonderful customer service guys. See you in court. read more

MOST OF HIS POSITIVE REVIEWS are only family members that were in the pool contracting business that have revoked licenses now. Don't trust his positive reviews! RUN, RUN, RUN as fast as you can away from this god awful contractor David Randolph and his revoked license father-in-law Chris Silva. David has no business skills or professionalism. They started excavating our yard while we were both at work without a signed contract or deposit. I have texts to prove, fence down mud mess, came home to the shock of tractor going through yard, we were not even going to make a decision until following month and wanted to get other quotes. I can prove all of this. I have numerous luxury homes in the Granite Bay, Rocklin and Roseville area and have worked some EXCELLENT contractors like Premier and Big Pools, the list goes on. This cookie cutter (sole prop style) home business is horrific. I was bullied by David and his overly aggressive father-in-law and they guilted us from the beginning like we ripped them off, even though we never negoiated one price of initial contract. We were up front that we wanted salt, stonescape, glass tile and they WAY OVER charged us to start. Then they nickeled and dimed and said those items were not included after they started and we signed a $53k contract. They kept wanting more and more money. They left havouc and destroyed our rock retaining walls, spilled liquid waste concrete all over, feces, yogurt containers and then ABANDONED THE JOB. My husband board back the fences and they didn't set up the chemicals. We were told we were getting salt and they installed a chlorine. Tried to give us the cheapest crap from their NPT catalog they say you can pick from. But the moment you pick something he says it is out of stock. I called NPT tile and it was always a lie (anything pretty much in their catalog is available) or we had to pay more (WHICH WE DID!). One of their trashy employees yelled at me, because he didn't want to hang the door alarms for permit. I was like really, all my other companies help the landlord, tenants or home owners (I got a toddler and am a girl). Then we paid our own hauling company to clean debris. 5 months to complete too, but he always got his money first. It is a 5 second text. He says you can't SEE ANY OF HIS POOLS. Premier Pools has a very helpful design center, NOT HIM and they give you list of every color pool they did in your zip code and you can call and talk to referrals. He said he got married because he bad at colors. WHAT?! I was like well can your wife help us. I guess even she couldn't help us and he says he doesn't have a design center or staff because he is too small. Funny my interior home remodelers were showing me pics of their pools and telling me what colors they got and better advice than him, with more ethuasism. He should know more about tones and colors, since he works with it every day. I wasn't asking what he liked. I just wanted to know what plaster be closest to the pictures I was told I get a pool like that when they sold it, pretty simple. I texted and showed him pools we liked of finish all nice electric blues, he said he can't give advice on what they are. So I call his supplier NPT tile (even though he told me they only deal with contractors) and they really have a public office, they told my pool contractor and other pool contractors, show customers other pools and let them touch them and see them in person and can give make custom colors and mixes to their likings. That is true I have got a list of pools I can view and a showroom at other contractors and they are friendlier, have real employees (not cash ones and all subs like he does). My husband just was over him and his lies and shelling out thousands and thousands after the fact and just wanted him to show up to meet him to finish pool and install the system/ software. We got texts Dave was too busy visiting a relative in hospice, so I guess he has time to collect and harrass, brag about how rich and great he is. That is his excuse for any issue, but cannot show up or commit to 5 different time slots of morning, lunch or afternoon slots mid weeks and we are local clients. David did not finish our pool, even though he got pre-paid to do so and thousands of dollars over his original contract. We had to hire another company to fix the valves and get our solar working (they broke the valve) and set-up chemicals, the list goes on. The most expensive, awful experience!!! If this guy JACKS you around like us.. STOP EVERYTHING and get a real contractor and call the CSLB immediately. Another contractor can finish his phase. Don't be so easy to give him checks. FILE A CASE on this guy with the CSLB IMMEDIATELY, write down names on his employees that he sends out. Everyone on his team has a bunch a citations and revokes, he uses all subs that are rejects, have lawsuits and have bad reputations. Use good companies instead. read more

Started off well, but once you're contracted, things change. Unless you have the time for delays and a bunch of excuses, I wouldn't go with them again! Not only did my pool take four months over the contracted expected completion date, I also had to Project Manage it all. Had I not been contacting them on a regular basis, things wouldn't get done. Finally once the pool was completed and they received final payment, they became next to impossible to follow up on issues. The response time in the beginning was excellent all up until the day of the quote. Tom showed up and spoke with my wife and I and shared some of his ideas seemed like a very nice guy. He told us that later on that night he'd send over to basic examples of a pool and then he'd "perfect" them. We discussed with him that the side fence we can remove for easy access, we wanted a spa and also a waterfall. Never once did we give him a budget price. He later sent over two basic pictures and told us to choose between the two so he can perfect them. After a week went by we received an email with a price quote... mind you he told us a base price of the pool would be $48k all digging and pool equipment included. We received a quote but we're confused as it did not have nothing we asked for such as the spa nor the waterfall but it had extra charges for plumbing and electrical and also extra charges for a different size of tractor they need. Mind you when he was here he stated that removing the side gate would not be a problem and we would be good. The quote being for $55k for the extra tractor and plumbing was shocking but ok things happen and maybe that's how it is. I wrote him and asked him about the water feature and spa. He replied stating, "well, I thought you didn't want to spend more than $55k so I didn't quote it." I never stated how much I wanted to spend. I then asked if he could add the spa and waterfall to the quote so we could see how it looks. He simply replied with, "waterfall 3-4K spa $15k so add about $19k to the estimate I gave you and there you go." RUDE!!! Why in the world would I EVER in a million years give a company almost $100k that is this way with their customers?! Is this the way you run your business?! This is just crazy to me that someone can be so rude especially someone that is selling your pools. However, he did make the comment for us to choose what we want either way he'll get paid!!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves to run a company that has such poor service!!! And I still haven't even heard back after I asked if he could "perfect" the pool with a waterfall and spa!! Pool construction was good, but Very poorly run operation for service. Used them for about 11 months. Service was ok for a while, then they stopped showing up. I called and texted the owner never heard back from him until I called again a month later. Dave didn't even sound surprised or disappointed. Our friend in neighborhood experienced same thing. I'm going with Aquatique Pool Service. They operate with a schedule for technicians to sign off on after every visit and are 40% cheaper for same service. read more

Two years ago they installed a pump motor and seal kit . the pump motor seal is leaking again I called them to get it repaired under the warranty and they refused to repair the seal saying we don't warrantee the seal just the motor .
