    Brick oven pizza!
    Lauren D.

Such a hidden gem of a restaurant and bowling alley! Located off of Day Street in Davis Square, this bowling alley has incredible pizza. It might possibly be the best pizza I've ever had! It's super thin, which I normally don't like, but the crust is crispy yet doughy at the same time. It's perfection, and I love that the dough has flavor. We got the medicine ball pizza with pepperoni and the maple sausage... both were amazing. Packed with a ton of flavor. We got two large pizzas for 4 adults and a toddler it was more than enough food. We also shared two salads, the build your own and seasonable peach salad. The seasonal one was meh, the leaves were dry. Service was great and they have a ton of seating. We didn't have to wait at 6pm on a Friday. Bowling was so fun! This style bowling is not your typical bowling alley. It's tiny balls, which is nice cause your arm doesn't get tired. We had a blast and would definitely come back!

Sacco's was the perfect spot for food, drinks, and fun- we had such a blast enjoying bowling and incredible pizza. The service was top notch- we were able to order food straight to our lane with such ease. We got their cheese pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza, both were incredible. It has that perfect nostalgia pizza taste, thin crust with a great crust to topping ratio, and really wonderful flavors. Some of the best pizza I've had in the Boston area, all while getting to bowl with friends. Great spot for friend hangouts, day nights, family events, etc. We went on a Monday night, so it wasn't so busy!

cheese pizza, half baked potato half carne pizza

such a cool place with really fun bowling and GOOOOOOD pizza. i liked that you got a paper and pencil to write scores rather than some other places that have it digitally. we got regular cheese pizza, baked potato, and carne (i think that was the name lol) which was the special for the day. incredible pizza and they were very nice about any customizations (i took the garlic oil off of the cheese pizza). also got the spring break (4 ever) drink which was great. extremely nice server and the place was decorated so cool!!!!!! will definitely come back :) and it was $40 for one lane!

Came here with about 12 people on Friday night. We made a reservation for 6:00. We had two lanes and we waited for about 10 min before they had to kick off the people in front of us. We got 10 extra mins at the end so that was fine. Unique looking place. Like a wood fired pizza joint connected to a small bowling alley. Reservations would be recommended for bowling btw. Our server was great! Attentive to us at the lane. We got lots of drinks and pizzas. They had a delicious kombucha and a cool mushroom cola for NA options. They also had great vegan pizza and a very tasty salad! Would come back

Fun place for some old school candlepin bowling. It doesn't have many lanes so try to make a reservation. Fortunately we were lucky and only had to wait an hour for a lane - just enough time to have some pizza which was very very good even if I wasn't comparing it to other bowling alley pizza.

Group event for 20 people on the corner lanes!

This old school bowling alley is a wonderful place to host both work or personal events. Our office tries to book an outing here at least once a year. The pizza is incredible, plenty of options for drinks with a full bar, and still an affordable place to host a group event of any size. Definitely recommend stopping by Sacco's for an afternoon of bowling with friends or for your next event.

After reading all of the reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but thankfully the worst never happened. We had our end of summer company party here. We were about 15 people. The staff was friendly enough and accommodating. The only issue we had was it seemed our server was a bit overwhelmed and it was hard to get ahold of her. A few of us also waited quite awhile for drinks, but we were a large party and not the only ones there. It was pretty dead when we got there at 3:30, but by the time I left at 6, things were in full swing. I was happy to see lots of little ones, they're very kid friendly. The little balls make it easy for little ones to participate and there's a changing table in the women's bathroom. Also happy to say that despite reports of a lack of diversity, there were lots of people of different backgrounds and races, plenty of students. Candle pin bowling is a lot of fun! I wish they included rules on the score sheet or posted them up somewhere as they rules are different from conventional bowling. Pizza was DELICIOUS. Crispy, cheesy goodness. Ingredients tasted like quality stuff. Well seasoned and just enough garlicky herby flavor. Dough was spot on. I said pizza, because it's pizza not flatbread. Overall great experience and will bring my hubby and daughter there.

Fun time! A bit expensive for bowling but good flatbread choices! Our waiter was really attentive even at the lane.

Our waitress was knowledgeable and gave good food and wine recommendations from the menu. Our party really enjoyed the octopus as it was a tender bite with freshness coming from the peas/mint/cilantro. We also enjoyed the juicy meatballs with tomato sauce and again a hint of freshness and nuttiness coming from the pine nut pesto. We were not crazy about the striped bass crudo. It just seemed to fall flat flavor wise for me maybe not enough salt or acid to really counter balance the other fresh clean flavors in the dish. That being said it was not bad just underwhelming. The pizzas were great value price wise and the flavor combinations were unique but also worked well with one another. I liked how they didn't shy away from using spicy peppers on the Nduja pizza. The Fennel Sausage pizza had that fattiness from the sausage mixed with acidity from the cherry peppers and some creaminess/extra layer of flavor with the green garlic cream sauce. I somewhat wish the pizza bottom was baked slightly longer for a less floppy center but that's just personal preference. They clearly put a lot of effort into this pizza recipe. The only critique we would have is the service seemed a bit rushed. We would have enjoyed a bit more time between appetizers and the mains. Even the check came pretty shortly after we finished which would be understandable on a busy weekend night but this was a Tuesday evening and there seemed to be plenty of empty tables around us. Other than that would recommend for an elevated night out!

I got the after school snack cocktail which was very refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. We split the Bucatini Verde and it was so delicious. I couldn't even pinpoint the flavors I was eating but it was amazing. Fresh pasta and just really good flavor. We saw a dish online we wanted, but the server explained they use that pasta for different dishes and change out the sauce, so I'm glad I got to try it. We then split the Pepperoni + Vodka Sauce pizza which was good. I'll be honest I was a tad disappointed in the pizza. It was flavorful but I think I was expecting the same feeling I got when I had the pasta. It was good, but just that, good. Crust was a little burnt. I did love the vibes and pasta and it's definitely known in Cambridge for a good reason. I'd recommend a reservation if you'd like a table as it does fill up fast.

My go-tos are the mushroom pie and clam pie, both of which are super flavorful and made with high-quality ingredients. The service was poor from the start. The waitress told us we would be seated at the bar. She rolled her eyes and appeared visibly annoyed when I asked if it was okay that my sister was under 21. She said it was fine as long as we didn't order drinks, then seated us at the bar. We were only given drink menus. When the bartender came over to take our order, I had to ask for a food menu myself. Our seating was also uncomfortable. We were placed right next to the bar/server station. My sister got splashed when drinks were being opened, and servers repeatedly bumped into her chair while passing. We ordered the Carnivore pizza. The pizza itself was quite salty. The dough was decent, but not impressive. I kept trying to convince myself it was good, but it fell short. Pizza: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Would I return? No. Overall, I was surprised by the 4.4 rating. My expectations were much higher based on the reviews.

Picked the Salsiccia pizza to split between us (and a poached pear and cannoli for dessert). First, the atmosphere is great! Inviting, with great views of Ball Square and the amazing pizza oven. The pizza arrived at the perfect temperature and quickly (we learned later that a pizza spends less than couple minutes in the oven due to how blisteringly hot it gets). Great flavor and composition to the pizza -- the sausage was extremely flavorful and there was just enough cheese. The dough is top notch, with just the right amount of chew! The poached pear and cannoli were excellent. Not too sweet with sufficient complexity. Very, very nice.
