My family and I were looking for something fun and different for dinner, so we made a reservation at the Sacred Beast after receiving a recommendation from a friend. Our experience was enjoyable, from start to finish. First, we were able to go online to quickly check table availability and make a reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and assisted with finding the best table location for our special-needs daughter who is in a wheelchair. The highlight of our visit, however, was the food of course. We started off with the Deviled Eggs, which were almost to pretty to eat. For my entree, I ordered the Brown Butter Salmon, which was absolutely to die for. My husband ordered the Dirty French burger, which he equally enjoyed. We are both eager for a return visit. This review would be incomplete, though, without giving a shout-out to the staff. From the person who greeted us at the door to the waiter who served us, the staff was friendly and helpful. Brunch here was so good and they take reservations! Loved their cappuccino. For food, it was hard to know what to order because everything looked so good. Don't miss the creme brûlée french toast. First time at Sacred Beast was great! We went for lunch and had quick seating, attentive service, and the food came out fast. We ordered the lobster fries as an app, which were delicious! One note about the lobster fries is there is not chunks of lobster in them. It's a lobster sauce. It has a ton of flavor! Our entrees we chose were the chicken Parmesan and the single burger. Both were great, but after having the chicken Parmesan, I'd recommend ordering a side salad or a side of fresh veggies. The flavors start to melt together and it quickly becomes very "fried" tasting and heavy. A fresh element could really elevate the dish! This was my first visit. It was at the top of my list as a new Cincy resident. I love the outdoor seating. It's perfect if you love people watching or just enjoying a nice breeze. I'm very disappointed I've never heard about this place and it's been in Cincinnati for years!! Breakfast all day?!? Sign me up! We came here for a friends birthday, they had really big six people booths which was nice, I got the hot honey tequila cocktail, they were also non-alcoholic mixed drinks as well, one of our friends got the CBD seltzer water drink and really loved it. This is one of my Fiancé and I's FAVORITE spots in Cincinnati. Delicious, creative, and tasteful diner themed bites. Great atmosphere. Post Covid, it used to be open quite late, which is how we originally found it. They've reduced hours but still just as wonderful. Highly recommend the Chicken Liver Mousse. Sacred Beast Diner has my vote for one of the best brunches in town. When I visited recently for the first time, my friend and I were tempted by the same things, namely the server-recommended fried truffle risotto balls to start followed by the corned beef hash. Oh, the risotto balls! Every element of them was perfect, including the lick your plate good marinara sauce they came in. As kids, my friend and I reminisced about enjoying the canned corned beef hash our moms would pick up at this supermarket. Well, we're grown ups now and we both really appreciated the very grown up corned beef hash we had at Sacred Beast. Large, tasty cubes of corned beef nestled in with expertly spiced, beautifully cooked potatoes and the lot was topped with two poached eggs. We took my son here for his bday on a Sunday afternoon. No wait which was great. The Dirty French was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Only comment was I could have lived without the capers. What a cool place in a somewhat strange neighborhood. Looks like the surroundings are on the verge of being revived. What a beautiful restaurant. The design crew was on point here. Luv luv the look. On my visit I indulged in an English Martini, which was so delicious I would drive the 2-hours it takes me just to have another. Sacred Beast was your typical brunch spot. The interior has authentic details to add to the history of the city of Cincinnati. The tables and seating were comfortable. As for the service, Tommy, our waiter, was incredible. He kept refills coming and food didn't take an extremely long time. For a busy brunch, I can see why it took a little longer than I'd like. That dude had a great sense of humor and was able to match the tables energy very well. He was able to give amazing recommendations and had a nice personality. As for the food, it was pretty good. One thing that surprised us was the Bread Pudding French toast. I don't know how they did it, but somehow they made the French toast creamy and fluffy at the same time. It was like eating undercooked French toast, in a good way though. The dominant flavors of the bread pudding and syrup are very prominent here. The other thing that blew us away was the Neckbone Gravy. This was a much more savory bite for sure. One thing that I found was that the ratio of each ingredient in the dish was well balanced. The gravy added a nice thick base flavor to subtle hints of egg, Mornay, and roasted chicken. It made the chicken juicy and melt in your mouth. It was my personally favorite thing at the table. This place knows how to do cheesy eggs too. Their soft scramble is incredible and makes for a delicate, creamy and fluffy egg. As for the pancakes, the lemon flavor is dominant here. They are on the smaller end of the pancake spectrum but have a thick fluffiness to them. As for the pork belly, it was one of the only things on the table that I wasn't a fan of. It was very very tough for a pork belly and not a melt in your mouth type. It was like eating beef jerky. I'm not sure if this is what they are going for or if it was just overcooked or day old. The other thing I wasn't a fan of was the kimchi ketchup. It was a weird taste to pair with everything. It tried to make the hash browns more of an Asian dish. I think an Aioli or sweet ketchup would've worked better here. The hash browns themselves though were really good. The crispy outside had a nice soft flaky inside. I also enjoy how thick they were and it was a decent portion. Lastly, the Goetta was decent. It was like taking sausage flavored rice and packing it into a slab. It contained good flavor and I would like to try it again, but the texture threw me off for sure. Overall, if i was in Cincinnati, I would visit again. Maybe next time I'll try their lunch portion a try, it looked pretty intriguing. The price was slightly high for the portion but the way today's economy is, that's how most places are. Holy SCHMOLY had one of the meals I've had in a long time here recently. It was one of the top recommended spots for brunch and that's for a d@mn good reason. The brunch cocktail menu is LIT and the drinks are expertly-made. I got brunch drunk and was loving it, y'all. My friend and I ordered two entrees 1) hash and eggs, 2) the lemon ricotta pancakes and a side of goetta, which I just had to try. Everything was INCREDIBLE. Sad I can't get goetta in Southeast Michigan (that I know of) because it was such a crunchy, satisfying breakfast treat. I'm afraid to try it again sometime because I'm not sure it would live up to this time. We both had multiple English Martini cocktails which were so goooood I want to figure out how to replicate them at home. Come here for brunch!!! Let me do the bad first -- 1) they seem to really want to fit in 5-6 adults in their booths which are slightly bigger than normal but definitely too tight for full grown people, especially if they're there for a business meeting or aren't really close friends. I think I saw them try to get 8 in a booth and I was shocked! There are larger booths in the back, but it also requires quite a bit of scooting. They are very nice booths though, otherwise! 2) do not get the lobster gravy fries. I repeat, do not. The description may lead you to be reminded of poutine. But it's not really that. They were not enjoyable at all. The cheese curds or whatever those were are just sitting on top. They were a mix of tasteless and salty. Then the fries themselves would have been good except that they were absolutely drenched in salt and unfortunately sitting in the lobster "gravy." It is indeed what you fear it may be: a thin watery sauce that tastes fishy. It was...not good...we had to ask for ketchup to make the $15 appetizer palatable. The fries would be very nice with nothing they put on it. 3) I would recommend some kids menu items because quite a few families were there. Here's the great and why I gave it 5 stars -- 1) cute place, very nice furnishings. 2) the menu is wonderful and there's quite a few things a pescatarian could have. I definitely want to go back to try one more dish. 3) The salmon with green beans was perfect cooked medium. It's normally medium rare, which I personally do not enjoy. Definitely order a carb on the side though. 4) The home fries are an interesting fluffy cube of shredded potatoes or something? Very interesting! 5) The lox sandwich was delicious -- maybe a little too much goat cheese and I took the peppers off, added a poached egg. Loved that. 6) The omelette and salad was perfectly rich. Too much goat cheese again in my opinion but very buttery fluffy omelette. Again way too much salt though. For me, this is the best burger downtown, so every time the craving creeps up on me, I know where to go. Calling in to order is no problem, but you can also order online for pick up or delivery. They have a pickup window by the door off Vine St., where you can safely and swiftly grabbed your orders to go. Sacred Beast joined the recent venture of Boca's Chef David Falk, called Domo. First of all, I loved the inside of the building a lot and it had nice outdoor seating set up. It is the perfect place to grab a bit before a FC game (as were most people when we came in). Our service was good and fast. I ordered the dirty French. I was torn for a very long time but everyone talked about this burger so I had to try it. It was a rich, perfectly cooked burger in what I would describe as a peppercorn tasting gravy and melted cheese. You absolutely need a fork and knife but it was amazing. The bun was toasted so perfectly that it truly added amazing flavor to the meal. The fries come with a mornay sauce which was also perfectly cooked. My fiancé got the double burger and it also looked great. We will 100% be back again soon. It truly is the best burger and will ruin all other burgers for you. Lastly, I got the hipsters girlfriend which was a shot of Four Roses and a glass of Rose for $10. I think next time I will try the milkshake shot or just order one of the beers. Went in a group of 6 on a Saturday night, we made reservations earlier in the week. The ambiance of the restaurant was super cool and our waiter was great! I am normally a bit picky on service as I worked in the service industry for some time, and I was very impressed by the level of service. I had a burgers for my meal and it was excellent! We had a side of green beans which were also very good. We had the deviled eggs to start and the presentation was great, however I did not love the deviled eggs, they weren't bad but wasn't what I expected. It was essentially a hard boiled egg with more egg on top of the half cut hard boiled egg vs. the yolk being scooped out for topping. We had the chocolate pudding for dessert and it was good, but more of a pudding than a mousse consistency (they described it in person as being more of a mousse). Very rich in flavor! I love Sacred Beast! Today was my third trip and I am already looking forward to going back. Today's revelation? Hash browns. Like pillowy squares of potato soufflé fried into pure yumminess. We were running late (we had a baby in tow) and they gave away our table. We called 3 times before, at our reservation time, and after trying to tell them we were running behind with no answer. They ended up seating us outside (in November) and I had to return to the host table 20 minutes later asking again for a high chair. Ultimately the drinks were great and food was subpar at best. There's no middle ground with this restaurant. When they hit, they hit big. We stopped in after a show, and there were easily 2 staff members for every occupied table. Not sure if they were expecting a rush, but they were certainly prepared for it. Our waiter was on point - quick with drinks, a unique style, and a genuinely pleasant guy. Those who followed his recommendations were pleased with their food and drinks. I found the prices to be a little high, but we figured we were paying for the OTR ambiance, so took it in stride. The difference is the flavor - everywhere else we've eaten on the OTR strip was packed with flavor. This one, not so much. Now, to be fair, the deviled eggs were very good, and I loved by blackened mahi reuben. My niece had the gnocchi and the brown sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, those were the only stars. While the fries look like they would be amazing, they really weren't anything to write home about. No seasoning, no burst of lobster, just string potatoes. My mother in law ate half of her hamburger. I took a bite and understood why. It was just a hamburger - no wow factor there, just a good hamburger. My wife's salad was also, just a decent salad.
