Brought my 7 yr old for a visit during spring break. I went with the AYCR wristband for $35 plus $20 game card. We got lucky and met another little girl with grandparents so they rode rides & played games together which was awesome. I kept a tally to see if it was worth it for the wristband. Which I think it was but if there's a next time I think I would opt for the 10 attractions for $25. Roller coaster was ridden 6 times, tilt a whirl was ridden 5 times, and bumper cars 2 times. They were too big for the monkey jumper or Carousel and weren't interested in the bouncy house. There's also a climbing area they were 2 inches too tall for. They have an affordable food area. Icees were $3.20 which was a great price compared to slick city where 2 icees was $13. They have nachos. Pizza and I'm not sure what else. They have a bowling area which we didn't do but it looked fun. There's also a bar and gambling area for adults. Overall it was a fun couple hours and well worth the $50 spent. read more

This is a great indoor entertainment venue for adults and kids! It is a great place to a have birthday party. There is a large bowling alley, a play-land for kids with slides, a game area, gambling area for adults (next to the bar). An indoor go kart / race track, bumper cars, merry go round, a roller coaster, a tilt a whirl, ride on cars, arcade games, redemption area with fun prizes, a snack restaurant and lots more. Safari land is wonderful! It is clean and has so many wonderful rides! The bowling alley is great and the roller coaster is very fun! But most importantly, our son is severely disabled, non verbal autistic and every time we go every staff member is helpful, treats us with dignity and respect and makes accommodations to help my son enjoy all of the rides and have a wonderful day. We are always there for HOURS enjoying all of the fun and family time. They have the best group of employees I've ever seen. The manager, Gersa (I'm sorry if my spelling is wrong) is such a kind person, she always remembers us and makes us feel so welcomed. read more

We had an Epic time celebrating my niece's 5th Birthday. The staff was attentive and very helpful. They made sure to wipe down all the rides and areas in this place. Bathrooms were spic and span clean. I had so much fun in this place. It was easy to find parking in the lot. I was amazed that everyone was following guidelines and wearing mask. We went the day after Christmas, not expecting it to be busy- we were wrong. We liked the huge playground but disliked that our middle kid was two inches too tall; our 3 yo refused to go without her brother. Safari Land absolutely refunded the ticket, which we appreciated. There was a nice range of games but felt ripped off with one of the claw games. My son pulled the ring with 500 tickets but in their system it was only worth 25 tickets. Kind of ruins the game of chance (and joy). The redemption center had long crowds of people cutting other families off. The guys behind the counter were trying their best but as a customer it was frustrating. I don't know that I would bring them again. RE: No, the ticket system was not being used. The party room smelled of mold the host was not a host she was very rude and combative when a complaint was made and began try to antagonize guest. The manager was less than helpful, not only did they pressure us to leave but after a confrontation her male staff continued following me even after I had left. I took my two boys (8 & 5) here on a whim when it was too hot to play outside and they had a blast! Pros: - this place is huge with lots of games & activities - things other than arcade games: tilt-a-whirl, bumper cars, climbing gym, race track, etc. Kids can only play so many games and it was really nice to have some other things to do. -overall cost was very reasonable (both for ride/activities and games) Cons: - prize section was a little sad but the price of games make it worth while. Safari Land is AWESOME!!! Anyplace where you get to play games, ride rides and generally get to act like a kid AND enjoy an "adult" beverage or two is tops in my book! The games are lotsa fun, loads of classics such as Ms. PacMan, Galaga, Crazy Taxi, Air Hockey, Donkey Kong, etc....etc...plus they have rides like bumper cars, a mini rollercoaster and Tilt-A-Whirl (great fun if you're tipsy from drinking too much beer hah). They also have a bowling alley with glow-in-the-dark bowling (I scored a 64 - go me! :P) but the last two times we've been there the lights were turned on :|. There is also a restaurant with typical arcade food such as pizzas (so-so) and sandwiches. But there is also more varied fare such as salads (try the Atlantis salad - yum!) and pasta dishes (spaghetti marinara is the bomb!). Portions are generous, inexpensive and if you get thirsty...well there is a bar next to the counter where after you drink a few beers you can get hypnotized by the fish tank ;). read more

My children got influenza the very next day after leaving this place, it is clearly not sanitized at all. Packed with germs. I wouldn't bother risking your children's health to come here, it is filthy. The employees are rude and not helpful one bit, the ones at the redemption counter just ignore your children and don't even have a smile or speak up. They are so rude to children. The place is miserable and unsanitary. They had police officers walking through private party rooms looking for somebody, which made everyone feel like something unsafe was going on in there. Why risk your child's safety and health to come to a place like this? Don't bother. Choose a safe, clean, child friendly amusement center for your children. This is not it. read more

Had my sons birthday party here on a Sunday afternoon and it was my first time taking my son there. Manager and host were super nice and helpful with all my questions and requests. There were plenty of pizza for the kids. The kids in my party all seemed to have had lots of fun. There were lots of other parties but the space is big so did not feel overcrowded. Only recommendation/suggestion will be for Safariland to provide guests with little handouts of what's included in package so that the host (ie me) did not have to explain to everyone what was included as part of wristband packages. read more

Came here for my niece's birthday, we were a rather large group. My sister's family literally comes here for everyone's birthday. My family doesn't come often due to distance. This visit was pretty disheartening. There were several things that took place, that isn't fitting for this establishment made for children. No way should the mechanic have yelled at a child in our party for attempting to ask about the ride he was fixing. Not only did he yell, he cursed at her, UNACCEPTABLE! A 6 year may not comprehend that it's down, he could've easily told her that, but instead yelled for the kids to get the hell away from there. The coaster was down, the bumper cars were down, which is where the mechanic was. And several other rides were down when the workers weren't stationed there. Staff seemed to switch to different rides every once in a while. The rides should've been discounted. I think the young men and women who work there may need a class on how to handle and or interact with children. There were so many awkward moments when the children were acting very age appropriate and the staff were clearly uncomfortable. I had a situation that I was pretty irate about that the manger rectified immediately. There were so many disadvantages taking place the ending of this shift (4/26/23), that I felt bad for the manager, but he handled things. We were here for a birthday party at the Atlantis #2 party room. The staff responsible for the party made sure the guests were taken care of and explained what the wristband is covered along with $7 worth game card. It's been our 2nd time here, always a great time. Although, my 4 year old daughter didn't enjoy the roller coaster, mainly because it's too fast for her (not included with the wristband), pizza was kind of bland for my taste (sausage, pepperoni, cheese). I passed by Safari Land one day and wanted a reason to go there without looking like a pedo, so I took my 6 year old daughter there last Sunday. It was a little crowded, a few birthday parties going on, but no big deal. We were hungry, so we decided to hit the restaurant first. They had a surprisingly extensive menu. I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, which tasted like ass, but I guess that's to be expected from an indoor amusement park kitchen. My daughter's hot dog, however, was okay. But even gas stations can get those right. They had an aquarium and the jungle thing going on, but this was no Rainforest Cafe. Afterwards, we rode the indoor roller coaster, which turned out to be the best part about the place. Because it was all downhill from there. I didn't care for the overpriced simulator ride. The go-cart "track" is a joke. Half the games we tried didn't work. Most of the fair-type entertainment was outdated. Like this is where Jesus had his 8th birthday party. It was actually painful trying to find anything worthwhile to use the rest of our game credits on. Finally, towards the end, I didn't know how much credit was left on the swipe card but I figured there was enough for my daughter to ride the tilt-a-whirl. She waited in line for 10 minutes only to be rejected by the operator because the card turned out to have $2.75 on it, a quarter short of the $3 ticket. I mean, really dude? I dropped $40 to spend an hour in this crappy establishment (at least $5 wasted on games that didn't even work), and you couldn't just let her on because she was 25 cents short? She was almost in tears. There's a special place in hell for tilt-a-whirl operators who make little girls cry. Most of the staff was not friendly, but my biggest issue with Safari Land is actually something that's not their fault at all--it was the other customers. As a Chicagoland father, I've been to Odyssey Fun World, Haunted Trails, Enchanted Castle, Lego Land, etc, and never have I encountered such bad ass kids in my life--cutting in line, swearing, hitting each other. And the adults were almost as bad--one family just blatantly cut in front of us at the ticket redeeming station. I know trashy people are everywhere, but Safari Land seems to cater to a higher-than-normal concentration of them. Go on a weekend, and you'll see what I mean. Overall, we didn't have a good experience, especially for the money I paid. I'm only giving it 2 stars because my daughter, a roller coaster fanatic, enjoyed the one they have. Bring hand sanitizer with you it's slightly germy. I brought my three year old who had been talking non stop about roller coasters. It was noon on a Friday and we had the place to ourselves. As soon as walk in the doors we walk around so we can check out what she is tall enough to ride and what she is willing to ride. She decides the roller coaster, tilt a whirl, mini carousel and monkey jump and tunnel thing are cool. So we go to the front desk to buy a wrist band. The woman was so insanely rude to us. My daughter came here last summer during a camp field trip, and since she was out of school, I decided to bring her here again for a few hours. She had a ball riding the rides-especially the bumper cars, rollercoaster, Max Flight. The wrist band was $15, and I do think I got my money's worth. However, this place is not very impressive---not a lot of rides and the rides are not always open (no staff manning some of them). We were there on a weekday afternoon, so the staffing may be different during peak times. Bathrooms were VERY clean.
