Drove from California, as I arrived into Las Vegas my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and I had no power on a 2017 Escalade. I pulled into safe auto care and Scott helped me. I took such a shot in the dark with this shop and i'm so glad I did!! (I don't ever leave reviews and I just have to write one for these guys) I was so impressed with their knowledge I decided to ship my car from cali to get an engine swap done here. They were amazing with communicating with me through the entire process (my car is my baby and I don't let just anyone touch her). They did such a meticulous job with her and within a very reasonable time frame. EVERYONE in this shop is extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. With the work I got done my car needed to be tuned (they don't tune here but they can recommend a couple of also amazing guys). They kept my car inside for me until I was able to fly out to pick her up. She wouldn't start after I started the tuning process in their parking lot. Scott and his team were so generous with helping me troubleshoot (which ended up being just a user error lol). I ended up having to stay the weekend here in vegas. I was seriously so impressed with their work my husband drove his car here to get his maintenance done while I was here. Honestly for how great at a job they do such a drive is WORTH it. They work on all cars, but if you're a Mopar or no car kind of person like we are THIS is your place to go to. In Aug. 2025 we had to be towed into Las Vegas from Baker, Ca. I had looked for a shop for repairs and found Safe auto care. Scott assured me they could take care of everything the next day and they did. We were back on the road with a new fuel pump. We pass through LV on our way to/from So. California to Utah. Some time later we noticed that the fuel gauge was not reading correctly. We called the shop in Dec. and Scott said to stop by on our way back to So. Cal and he would replace the fuel pump at no charge! We arranged a date, dropped it off at 3 pm and the next day we were on the road at 3 pm. I cannot say enough good things about this shop, starting with Mai in the front office, Scott, and John just to name a few. My wife and I knew we were in good hand from the start. These people couldn't be nicer or more honest, and Scott and his staff are very knowledgeable. Their prices are fair and less than others, yet their work is outstanding! SCAMMED. I called Safe Auto Care and spoke to Scott, and I was quoted $120 twice on the phone to add 2 spark plugs, and secondary air filter and a coolant tank and he said no problem, but when I finally left a day later,, I was charged $254!! at pickup at 5:30pm! . I arrived at 8am, I re-iterated $120 and Scott agreed. i asked my car be ready at 12 noon, they said they "would try". I came back at 12 Noon and they said come back at 5:30pm (the time they close). At 5:30 pm. I walked in the receipt said $254.23!!! I said what is this? They said "ancillary charges" and cleanup and shop fees?"...I had NO OTHER WAY HOME. So I paid the bill and said it better "run perfect" Scott and Mustafa (both Smiling) said it was running great. I DID NOT MAKE IT HOME, my car BROKE DOWN! Here's what they did? 1) Instead of Coolant, they poured WATER in my coolant tank, the vapor popped a hose off of my thermostat! 2) They did not install my two spark plugs, they simply threw them in, they were misfiring on the way home, nor did they connect the coils or wires that I gave them, they reused the old ones! 3. They did not properly install the secondary air filter, I have purchased "my own tools and with a friend INSTALLED MY OWN PLUGS and spent another $200 just to fix what they broke. My car did not even go 3.6 miles Safe Auto Care to the UNLV Gym to my house, my car put itself in Limp mode and I had to park outside my residence gate. NEVER, EVER have I seen such DISHONESTY. I am going to make a video about these dishonest crooks. I want an immediate refund of 254.23! or I am taking them to court for all of my expenses plus time missed from work which is about $500 a day for 4 days! Right now, I want $254.23 re-recredited to my card immediately. This business is scamming people by NOT doing the Work - and pretending to be nice and cordial and giving a ton of "word salad" for their excuses. More importantly, I think they are stealing the parts they're given and replacing with substandard. read more

I've been going here for years but just had the worse service. They stated I needed a new radiator, they ordered it but it was not even leaking . It was the water pump, but I still replaced the $300 radiator. When they replaced the water pump, they did not connect the fan . On my drive home of course it over heats , I take it back and they say it's the clutch fan . I order it again and go to place it on myself but discover the clutch fan was not even reconnected. This is ridiculous. I thought they knew what they were doing . But all they did was make Me spend more money than needed. I thought they were trust worthy . Be careful ! read more

My Lexus blew a small coolant hose that I needed fixed right away. Scott worked on my other car in the past on a minor issue and did ok then so I wanted to give him a chance to build a relationship for future work. However, he and his service writer, Mustafa, turned out to just be LYING SCAMMERS that cheated me out of several hundred dollars from excessive charges for work that was completely unnecessary and they didn't even do! The .25" hose that ruptured was located in front of the motor just under the front of the intake manifold and snakes up to a connection above the motor. They charged me over $600. to do this job stating that the intake manifold needed to be removed to gain access to the hose. THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE! After I got the car back I looked at it more closely and discovered that the hose was simply maneuvered up and through openings by the hose connections. THEY NEVER EVEN MOVED INTAKE MANIFOLD AT ALL! read more

My son had an experience with your shop that you should be aware of. He had the oil changed on his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado on June 15th, 24. We live in Arizona and he was there for the weekend. He drove the truck home and almost made it but then the truck broke down. Him not being mechanically inclined he waited 4 hours for a tow truck to show up and then another week before our mechanic could take a look at it. THE DAMN OIL FILTER FELL OFF!! Luckily there was no damage to the motor but it shows what kind of quality you offer. Not only did it cost to repair the problem but we paid 125 for a tow truck. I would not suggest your shop to anyone. If you can't even do a decent oil change then I wouldn't trust your shop to do anything else. read more

Changing the lifters and some other items crept up while their. The only mechanic who could work on my truck 95 GMC had vanished into the desert on some kind of retreat and could not be contacted so they didn't know when I could expect my truck back. Time passed and eventually my low mileage beauty was ready. I was able to start the truck but it was horrible so I felt fortunate to just drive away. About ten months ago I had exhaust manifold and catalytic converter installed and checked with no leaks. The car passed smog test and running great. Last week the starter went out. I bought a new starter and had the car towed into safe care auto on 7-19-23 for replacement of the starter. I waited at the shop for about two hours. The guy seated in the office told me the mechanic wanted to talk to me about exhaust leak. I went outside and asked the mechanic but all he said was it's ready to go. So I paid the man in the office in full and left. Was super hot that day on Wednesday. So I went home put car in the garage. In the evening I took the car out and hear exhaust leaks and smell like exhaust carbon. I don't know what to think and why the man in the office mentioned it. I don't think I want to take it back to safe care auto. Hard to find a place you can trust. This is only car I own. No use to call them about it.
